I originally went to these guys on January 5 2016. For a transmission rebuild. First time I got it back was a month later around February 4th. Didnt make it home without having problems that were worst than the first time I took it there. And it was leaking. So they picked it back up. They had to rebuild it again, taking another month to do so. So March 7th I pick it up again and was promised that it was good to go. And yet again didnt make it home before it started messing up and shifting hard again. And it was leaking again. So they picked it up again. I called corporate office to complain that I wanted it to be done faster than a month this time. But to my disappointment I didnt get it back till April 4th. And now its functioning fine. But leaking like crazy. I will not be going back. Even with a Warranty. It is completely unacceptable that it has taken so long to correct their mistakes. And then to not do it correctly is even worse. Ots not hard to understand that you need to replace seals each and every time you have to go into the transmission. If I could give them a negative stare rating. I would. Absolutely terrible workmanship. Strongly recommend not to go here for any transmission work.

Had my transmission rebuilt in September 2013, have been dealing with issues ever since. Took it back a couple weeks ago had to have the torque converter and pump replaced, not sure why they were not at least recommend to be replaced in the rebuild since it was at 243,000 miles. Now about a week after getting it back from the latest repair which I only went back since I assumed it was probably a warranty issue, I have a terrible leak at the rear seal. Called and was told by Chris "cars break, its what they do". Im sorry but you were in my transmission a week ago sounds to me like Cottman Transmission of the woodlands has no intention of honoring their work or the "warranty " they claim to have after "fixing" your vehicle.

This is the second time I have used Cottman Transmission and they are Great! They are currently under new Ownership, but provided the same great service. We came back the second time to get our vehicle repaired because of the great work and service we received the first time. I am happy to say, they are still providing that same great workmanship and service under the new Owner, Gian. My vehicle was in great need of repair. Gian was very thorough in narrowing down what was wrong and fixing it. He also made sure that he kept me updated the entire time they had my vehicle and that I understood what was wrong. I highly recommend them!

These guys are a breathe of fresh air. I dont have enough ways to say thank you for just the honesty part of your business. They diagnosed my truck a couple times. Instead of giving me the run around or misdiagnosing the issue to earn a fat check, they chose to be honest with me and both times the fix was rather simple. Honesty, is rare nowadays when it comes to auto repair. Thanks again guys you will always get my business without a doubt. I must say they may not be all smiles or the friendliest in the world, but I much rather that than snakes smiling and walking away with my hard earned money.

My car was not tracking properly, but I did not know the problem. I got it up on jack stands and still could not diagnose the issue. Thats when I call Cottman. Talked to Gian via video call and he was able to point me in the right direction to identify the problem almost immediately (bent steering arm). They ordered parts and I took the car to them for the repair. I was in and out the same day. And the biggest surprise was the VERY reasonable cost of both parts and labor. Cottman is my new got to mechanic.

Unfamiliar with transmission shops in the area, I consulted Yelp and chose this place due to the good reviews. They did a superb job at what seemed a fair price; the transmission works just like new. One slight hiccup was that the cars windshield was somehow cracked during the repair, the replacement cost of which the personable owner, Joe, reimbursed without question. Im more than happy to recommend these honest folks for your transmission needs.

The owner or manager "Chris" was very good with handeling my transmission actuator troubles.This was a dealer part I bought and brought to him to install and solved my shifting problem..No labor was charged to replace my part because I already had my transmission rebuildt 30, 000 miles ago.The part he installed goes outside the transmission so it wasnt a warranty repair.He did the job for free and he was real busy he didnt have to do it.

My 2004 Nissan Altima made a terrible noise when I turned the steering wheel. (it was so bad people in parking lots stopped to see what it was) The guys @ Cottmans checked it out and discovered it needed a new power steering pump. They replaced the pump- and now the car is driving great! No noise!! Reasonable cost. I definitely be back if I need other repairs.

They found the problem, not the symptom and didit for a reasonable price without having to rebuild the transmission. I had also previosly paid for a new VCM and a wire repair looking for a solution to the problem. I had also replaced two torquw converters before this repair. They got to the bottom of it and fast

They had my vehicle for less than a week and rebuilt my transmission. They were very upfront about what needed to be done and why they werent going to need to do more just to make more money. Munday Chevrolet wanted to charge $6,500 to change the transmission and they rebuilt it for $2,500. I highly recommend.

My son has his transmission rebuilt by this company several months ago. Not for sure why, he had a problem with the transmission. The truck was towed to this location after hours, They were able to take care of the problem right away the next business day. Thanks for the quick turnaround!!
