Mikasa just completed a fairly major remodel on our home. We had our kitchen, master bath, patio area, laundry room, and master bedroom completely redone and upgraded. We had all the old polished brass (golden) bathroom fixtures upgraded to brushed nickel and antique brass in all three of our bathrooms. We had a roof leak repaired. And the outside of our home was repainted. My wife and I are very pleased with the quality of the work done. We had called five general contractors for bids. While two contractors didnt even bother to show up, Chase, with Mikasa, was the only one of the remaining three to arrive on time for his scheduled appointment with us. We were immediately impressed with Chases professionalism and courtesy. He was extremely patient with us as we walked him through our home, pointing out all the things we wanted done. He listened and took comprehensive notes about what we wanted. Chase also made some excellent suggestions regarding modifications we were wanting. Mikasa quickly presented us with a very fair contract price for our remodel, and we accepted. Of course, there were some issues which arose during the remodel, which would be expected considering the scope of our remodel. Chase quickly and decisively handled each problem immediately to our complete satisfaction. Leo, Mikasas owner, visited with us several times during the remodel to make sure everything was going well, and that we were happy with the progress and results. The level of professionalism and concern displayed by both Leo and Chase is refreshing to see in a society which somehow, in too many businesses, has forgotten about the importance of quality customer care. Some of the sub-contractors Mikasa uses, especially Jose, and his son Daniel (painting), and Norberto (carpentry), must be among the absolute best available. They all did fantastic work on our home. Upon completion of the project, Leo even treated us to dinner at his new Mexican food restaurant, which is right next door to Mikasa Construction. The food was excellent, and Leo was an excellent host. The next time we want work done on our home, we will definitely be calling Mikasa Construction. Last year, I experienced what my insurance adjuster bluntly referred to as a “water event.” The damage was severe enough that I was forced to pack up two lifetimes’ worth of possessions, empty the first floor of my house, and move out for three months while the repairs were effected. Finding a reliable and trustworthy contractor can be a nightmare, especially if you live in a rural area. Fortunately, I discovered Leo and Mikasa Construction. What was probably a relatively small job for Mikasa was a major undertaking in my experience. The repairs included removing all the damaged sheet rock, plus the cabinets in the bathrooms and kitchen, and installing new flooring, baseboards, doors and door trim, new lighting, new cabinets and granite counter tops, bathroom fixtures, wallpaper and paint, even removal of the awful 1980’s popcorn ceiling. Leo guided me every step of the way, helping me make choices and decisions, and teaching me enough about what was being done that I felt I had chosen the best option for each part of the project. Leo, in my opinion, is a rarity in today’s business world, an honest and principled man. His wide knowledge is readily apparent, and he and his craftsmen are all both talented and conscientious. On every project, Leo wants to do the very best job, because he’s very proud of Mikasa and the reputation they’ve achieved. His goal when each job is complete is for his customers to be completely satisfied with the work Mikasa has done. I feel as though Leo and Mikasa have taken a disaster and given me a completely new home. If you give them the opportunity to do as much for you, you’ll be glad you did.

What can I say in regards to Mikasa Contracting, but excellent, excellent, excellent! Ive been using this company for many home projects for 10 years or more. They have done driveway resurfacing, roof & ceiling repairs/replacements, complete laundry room renovation, window replacements, entry door replacements, interior & exterior painting and various exterior repairs/replacements. All I can say and even expect is great work, professional & warm-hearted staff and an awesome outcome. Mikasa Contracting is the best! They will work with you no matter the cost, your financial situation will never be an issue with them. When it comes to the work of Mikasa Contracting? You will NOT be disappointed!!!

Called them to give me quote on water damage in house coming from roof or overhang for insurance purposes, was told they would contact me Monday since I called on friday. Monday came and went, so called again on a Wednesday and finally got someone to come out on Tuesday. They inspected the damage without once going in the attic or climbing on roof. Was told basically it was my gutters overflowing and they would email a quote to me. A week went by and still nothing. So I called them again and was told that would contact me on Monday since or was friday. I cant speak from their quality of work, but their customer service is non existent. I feel unimportant and a waste of their time.

We recently moved our office into a building that needed some work in order to make it safe and functionable. We reqested 3 bids from other Tyler contractors, and Leo with Mikasa was the only one who showed up on time and gave us a bid in a timely fashion. Little did I know that Leo was just getting started impressing me. He followed through with the process from start to finish, and was more than wiling to work within our strict corporate guidelines. The attention to detail that Mikasa places into there work truly shows. Mikasa is the only general contractor we even consider when there is work to be done!
