A review in haiku: Phone rings; no answer Breathtaking incompetence My taxes bought *this?* I had to wait for 3 weeks to get the key for my APARTMENTS mail box, (during which time I visited 4 times to deal with various issues, called ~12 times to be answered only once, and had my mail hold blatantly ignored) only to find my mail box was full of the neighbors mail. When I went back and told the post office this, I was assured the key was correct but that the post man had been putting in the wrong mail, so I should talk to the manager. I waited for 20 minutes while the woman I am convinced is the only helpful employee on the premises looked for him, but he was somehow not in the building. (What?) So I went home, called them seven more times over the course of 3 days, and was not answered once. Finally, at the end of my patience, tired of fruitless visits and unanswered phone calls, I called the national USPS customer service hotline, and ended up filing a complaint (the woman I spoke to was, by the way, shocked and indignant at the treatment I had been receiving, and it was her suggestion that I file a complaint). Predictably, THAT finally got the POs attention; I received a call from them *the very next morning.* The manager told me they would check to make sure the post man (who was apparently a temp in for the regular, who was on vacation) was putting the mail in the right box, that there should be a sticker on the back of the box saying what apartment it was for if I wanted to check and make sure, and that hed call back with an update soon. I thanked him and hung up the phone, thinking Id check the sticker if I kept getting the wrong mail. A few hours later, he calls me again, while Im at work with a client, and I felt obliged to take the call because I had no idea how/when I could ever get a hold of this man again! He the proceeded to rudely inform me that my mail had been undelivered because I had placed a mail hold on it and then never come to pick up my items. I then reminded him that I had, in fact, gone in on the day the hold expired to do just that and was told that I had no mail there, and that my only package had been delivered against the hold (oops!). Yet it was somehow *my* fault that I didnt have my mail. His only reply to this was to say "Well, you have packages here; Ive seen them myself." Ok buddy. Whatever. Thankfully, though, they spared me a further visit by going ahead and delivering the packages to my door the next day. That was about a week ago. Today, after continuing to receive nothing but the neighbors mail in my box, I checked the sticker in the back of the box. I bet youll never guess: they had, in fact, given me the keys to my neighbors box, not mine. I am currently beyond the point of frustration with the uselessness of this post office. "Breathtaking incompetence" doesnt even scratch the surface.

Its true, they will NOT pick up the phone. Ive tried several times, it will ring for two minutes, then go to a fast busy signal on top of the ringing. Who is going to make them do anything about it? No one. They do this because they know they can get away with it. Another thing - if you ship a package there, it may or may not be scanned, it may or may not ship out that day. I have left packages on the counter as instructed, which should be scanned (if you drop them in the slot they will NOT be scanned), and most of the time are scanned, and are sent out that day or the next day. However, I have left packages on the counter that do NOT get scanned for three days (yes, on a weekday) - three days that they SIT there, and then are sent out, delaying receipt of the package. According to a supervisor, they dont scan ANY packages, but you can easily check your tracking #s and they DO SCAN THEM - most of the time! But they will ship them out when they feel like it! Go to Hwy 6 if you want it done right. Some people still have a work ethic.

I filed my change of address online (valid for at least 6 months) 3 weeks ago. They forwarded some of the mail to my new address but today they DELIVERED a package to my OLD address. I came and talked to them. Then the very rude guy asked me when I changed my address. I told him 3 weeks. then I asked (with why the hell attitude) I still have package to my old address. after that, figuring out the package got wrong delivery is media mail, he told me I would get charge because its the cheaper mailing option. seriously, I get charge because the mail person doesnt bother to do their job right. great USPS! I like to send package here because the people over counter are friendly, but not the guy at the end (seems like he is the boss there though).

(my name is Alejandra) Terrible service! They did not schedule our passport appointments correctly and gave the wrong time so we ended up having to wait behind three other appointments. Then to end it.. the man who set the appointments did not explain the specifics of passport payments (our first time for passports) so when we thought we were finally finishing up the stressful appointment the woman says i would need to reschedule because i only had a card to pay with and will have to re-do all of the applications at the time of the new appointment! Huge Waste of time with two small children up early first thing in the morning! The employees there could not have cared less how unsatisfied we were.

Horrible customer service at this particular location-Clay Ave. A rude male answered the phone today, and was of no help at all with figuring out why I havent received a package. He basically told me either I needed to look again, or contact the office again because it was supposedly out for delivery, and that means the carrier delivered it. A bad attitude and snide remarks, so of course he got the same back. What happened to the customer is always right, or the principles of customer service?? Obviously not with the post office! This is why I prefer to use the UPS or Fedex for ALL delivery purposes.

Called Waco PO on Saturday and explained that I had sent five packages to the wrong address. Phone was answered promptly and the lady was very courteous and tried to find my packages. Said she would call back but did not so I assumed she had no information. I called again on Monday morning and talked to Rick who was courteous and very helpful. He found out they had retrieved 4 of my packages which would be forwarded to the correct address and the 5th had been returned to PO and was returned to the sender. I really appreciated their help at their busiest time of the year.

The reason why they have bad service is b/c it is a government ran operation that has to fill a certain quota when hiring employees. Therefore they get lazy people who passed a government test. I am sure it is very diffucult. They don not hire the best available b/c of their quota. The employees jobs are safe b/c of their status. This is what happens why our government runs things. Everytime I call, if I get someone to answer the phone, they are horribly rude and have no personality. That is who we have working in our government office as customer service reps.
