My family has lived in Wylie Texas since 2005. New to the area we needed to find a mechanic, and fast. We had moved into our new home from a one bedroom apartment in Addison. Our new next door neighbor said that thier experience with this shop was great. This was the most sound advice we needed. I can tell you hands down this family owned mechanic shop is incredible. We use noone else now. They are extremely helpful and trustworthy. Rodney is extremely knowledgeable and Kevin is so kind and personable over the phone. They are even open on Saturday. Our child like many parents in the area is into many sports so our week and weekends are collectively hectic.many times we call explain what is wrong with our vehical , drop off car late Friday night, slide the key in the over night deposit slot on thier shop door, next day they call us Saturday morning once they are done and we come pick it up. They even take card payments over the phone. They shoot ya straight, never take advantage and will educate you along the way. We have even sent visiting family members in from out of state to them. They do just about anything I belive. From my experience we have experienced oil changes, state inspections, brake repairs, shock repair, engine challanges, battery replacement, coolant leaks, sensor replacements, rear and headlight bulb replacements. This team have all good people employed here and if the entire job could be costly the will let you know proactively and work with ya, to have some other things done that may not be as pressing in coming weeks so it doesnt hit your wallet too hard if you prefer. If you need a good mechanic give 78 Auto a call, you will thank me and your car will too! :)

Exceptional customer service & morals from these guys have earned them a new family of permanent clients! If the work doesnt need to be done they wont pretend it does or fabricate something else just to get paid. I called Hwy 78 Auto an hour before closing today (a Saturday) because Im taking a road trip on Monday & felt like my brakes have been needing work (or at least looked at). I called several shops before them & all turned me away because they werent open for business or wouldnt be able to get around to my vehicle until Monday. The man on the phone eventually, reluctantly told me to come on in. After looking at my brakes & test driving my van, they actually told me my brakes didnt need any work! He said I would be just fine taking my trip. Most auto places "find" something to do in order to get at least some money from me for their time but this guy was sending me home! ...so I asked him to change my oil!

I have been to 78 auto several times and repairs were always performed competently and in a timely manner. In my most recent visit, they surprised me with how ethical they are-- there was confusion between the receptionist and the repair technitian and a service I asked them to hold off on was performed without my authorization. Rather than undo the work or ask me if I wanted to pay for it, they told me I would not be billed for it and said that I could pay later if I wanted to, but that I could receive it for free due to their error. Funny thing is, that makes me want to return to pay for it. I find that reviews about everything going fine are not always helpful, because, while we want things to go well, its the times they dont where you get to see the true colors of the buisness. These are great people and I recommend them -- now more emphatically than before!

Took my car in for a antifreeze leak. They told me it was the radiator and it needed to be replaced .After I got the car back, I noticed it still leaked antifreeze the same day. I called them and some smart mouth told me its going to leak because you got antifreeze in the frame and cracks of the car from replacing the radiator ,go drive it and it will come out. 3 days later it was still leaking, so I took it to a private shop in Nevada and the guy told me it was the water pump and it had been leaking for awhile due to the dry burned antifreeze on the engine. He replaced the water pump and timing belt while he was there and no leaks after that, according to Hwy.78 Auto my water pump magically started leaking after I pulled out there driveway.

Ive been using this shop for several years and Ive never once been disappointed! Today I took my Honda in and they took the time right then to check out the problem and recommended that I take it to the Honda dealership. In fact, he said dont let anyone else work in this. So glad they did bc the problem was covered under warranty! When I called back to thank them the owner told me he felt like it would be covered but didnt want to speak for Honda...but thats why he insisted I take it to Honda

Called up on Wednesday afternoon looking for a 4 wheel alignment on my Subaru that just had new tires put on it (due to the alignment). The guy on the phone was super helpful and nice. He told me to bring it on down and would get me in and out in about an hour. I drove down there, they got my car right into the bay and we were back on the road within 40 minutes of pulling up! Outstanding! This is my new service place! Great job guys! I want to do all of my business in Wylie!

I am an elderly woman and found Rodney extremely honest and helpful. After visiting 2 other repair shops to try to find out what was wrong with my car - I took it to Hwy 78 Auto and they were able to fix me right up. Rodney figured it out pretty quick and the repair took less time and a lot less money than I was thinking it would cost. Thank you for your kindness and patience when I had trouble explaining what was wrong with my car. Runs great now.

We have used Hwy 78 several times and have always had an outstanding experience. Kevin and his crew display the honesty, knowledge, and customer service that so many other automobile service repair centers lack. They perform great work at more than reasonable prices, They will save you money anytime they can all the while insuring the service provided is done with the customers best interest and safety as their main concern. I highly recommend Hwy 78.

Finding a mechanic you trust is always difficult. Being from a completely different state next to Impossible to find a mechanic you trust. Ever since my husband and I found Highway 78 Auto we never bring our vehicles anywhere else. Their prices are fair. Their staff is helpful and considerate. They know their stuff. And when times are hard they can get you out the door and running at minimal expense. They are counted amongst one of our blessings.

This is the best auto repair place I have ever been to. You know how your a girl and when you walk into a mechanic shop and usually get screwed. That was me for many years until I went to Hwy 78 auto. My car was getting an oil change and I over heard another woman state that she drove all the way from Richardson for that exact same reason. Best customer service and very honest people!!!!!
