I purchased a used truck that had lots of minor issues. This morning the truck completely crapped out and I had it towed to the Southwest Car Care since its pretty close to the house and open on Saturday. After doing some basic troubleshooting we thought this was going to be a big job, probably a fuel pump and various electrical issues. 30 minutes after the truck was dropped off I was called by the shop and they walked me through everything. Turns out it was an electrical issue from the previous owner that made it look like a fuel/air issue with the truck. Southwest could have easily gouged me and told me it was any number of other items. I went to the shop and they walked me through various items on my truck, letting me know what was in good shape and what could use further review or maintenance. They showed me any items that they thought were safety concerns and then detailed how they can be fixed. I went into this expecting a huge repair bill and days without my truck. I left Southwest Car Care the same day with a lot of knowledge and a trusted mechanic for any of my future car issues. Oh yeah, and a perfectly working truck.

I am so glad that I found this place. I had a problem with my Jeep for about a year, I went to the major dealerships, Randall Noe, Dallas Dodge and Rockwall Dodge. Since they couldnt duplicate the problem, they couldnt fix it, couldnt even give me a suggestion of what it might be. Their suggestion was to wait for it to breakdown, no thanks. I went to Southwest talked directly to Nathan, used sound effects to describe the problem and he knew exactly what it was. Got me up and running in no time. Terry and Nathan are the best, I call them the Car Doctors! They are not salesmen. When they do oil changes, they do not come in with dirty air filters just to increase your bill. They have fair prices and if you are a teacher or a veteran there is a discount!!!

I have been taking my vehicles to this place for years. Three vehicles later, Terry has never failed to keep them in good running condition and safe on the road. I trust him completely to provide excellent work and solve any issues that come up at a fair price. If you are in his area I highly recommend him especially if you dont know your way around the mechanics of a car. I drive an hour to get to his shop! I like being able to trust him not to take advantage of my lack of knowledge. Reliable, fast, and trustworthy! I highly recommend this place.

Southwest Car Care is a very honest and trustworthy business. They had their work cut out for them when I turned in my van with some engine issues. They diagnosed the issues, addressed them, and promptly finished the work on my vehicle in a very reasonable time frame. The price was very good the best from what was quoted to me by other mechanics. Mr. Terry is a very honest guy and runs a very good auto service. I highly recommend this place to anybody based on the care I received.

Terrible, place!!!!! WAY over priced!!!! Mechanic was recommended to us. Took our car over to replace the brake pads (which we had already purchased) got a call 1 hour later saying we needed new rotors. $80 plus tax for the front and $110 plus tax for the rear wheels. Picked the car up an hour later and was charged $400 additional dollars in labor!! The total cost of our brakes was $608.00 Spoke to 3 mechanics and was told the repairs should NOT have cost more than $350.

I paid $ 170 for a thermostat change. Ridiculous price. The parts came out to $30 and that means it was 140 labor charge for half an hour? I also had my belts changes, and the bolts to the alternator and other place, were just dangling. Now I have to pay more money to take it to another mechanic shop, because now the car is having problems. I do not recommend this shop to anyone.

I know I can trust Southwest Care Care because Im always treated with respect, the owner has made it a point to know me by name, and Im always given honest answers to the questions I have. Also, I never feel pressured to buy anything. I know I can trust Southwest Care Care to take good care of my truck and SUV.
