Kindercare provides unsurpassed billing errors with overworked staff. Kindercare staff were so busy the first time I came to pick up my daughter that I stood in the lobby for five minutes ringing the bell occasionally, until I started ringing it constantly. Eventually, a young woman poked her head out of a room holding an infant mid diaper change and snapped that they were too busy to answer the door. I waited an additional minute before someone opened the door. Unfortunately, my wife hadnt given me the door code yet. We started informing the pertinent staff three weeks ahead of time that my daughter would not be there for three weeks around Christmas, due to relatives visiting. We were informed that we could have two weeks tuition free absentee time for vacation, annually. We informed them that we were going to use this time for this purpose, and the remaining week would pay the $45 fee to hold her spot. Nobody took a note, and though we reminded them several times a week for several weeks, they still werent aware she would not be there. They called to say she hadnt arrived the first day, and I had to remind them again. Then they told me that I would have to pay the $45 per week anyway. Sadly, there doesnt seem to be any alternative to child care that can pick up at school. Edit: Kindercare LOST my daughter. They couldnt find her within the facility when I came to pick her up. They signed her out to a stranger, and insisted it was her grandparents, who do not live in the state. I FOUND HER SLEEPING IN A BALL UNDER HER COAT. I never got a satisfactory apology. "Oh, gosh, sorry" isnt good enough. I was seconds from calling the police when I lifted her coat. Also, if the facility has to close, you still have to pay, even if you have to leave work early, and lose money to do so. Their plumbing backed up, and I still had to pay for that day. I have to change my review to 0 because I was so upset about them LOSING my daughter.

I waited a year+ before writing this review, to be sure I had time to reflect on our experience in a thoughtful, effective manner. A year later, I still feel the same way about our experience. In the first week I brought my four month old, she had the worst diaper rash she has ever had, to this day. Bad enough, that it was incredibly painful to the touch and she would scream when getting her diaper changed. Also, her diaper was often incredibly full upon pickup. I would often need to change her before bringing her home. When we would pick her up, the staff had changed, and no one would know how her day was (also, because the sheets were rarely filled out thoroughly). Some days she would be quite dirty with food on her clothes, which was odd, because she was only having bottles at this point, at four months old. This led us to believe the staff were eating around the kids and getting food on them, the environment was dirty and not being cleaned during the day, or other kids that had been eating were crawling on her. No one could explain it and none of the options to explain this felt comforting. We started to notice her affect would be flat when we would pick her up, and she would become really disregulated when we brought her home. The director attempted to be responsive, to her credit, but overall, our thoughts were that the staff probably didnt get paid enough to care. We pulled her after a month, and found a significantly better daycare situation-she continues to flourish.

I am writing this to share about an incident that took place leading to the removal of our 5 month old daughter from Kindercare yesterday. My wife had consistently gone to Kindercare on her lunches to nurse our daughter. As she went yesterday, she found our daughter with a pacifier in her mouth and a burp cloth placed over the pacifier, just under her nose, and wrapped around her head and tucked in to keep the pacifier from being removed. She contacted me immediately and we had our daughter removed from the facility and are currently looking for another care provider. As to why this was done, the pacifier kept falling out. I am sure she was crying, but am opposed to gagging my daughter to deal with what I imagine was a frustrating situation. We have heard conversations by the employees in passing that they wish they could permanently put pacifiers in the childrens mouths. Apparently, it has been acted upon. We have since reported this to the Director, Asst Director and have been contacted by the Asst Regional Director about the incident. We personally have lost confidence in the care provided to our daughter there and do not trust that her safety (!!) or care was and possibly will be the priority over the employees personal preference and comfort.

Our son has loved his time here. He started when he was 4 full time and we have loved all the teachers hes had as hes grown and moved into different classrooms. He is currently in the full day kindergarten and is doing amazingly well at reading, math, telling time, etc. More importantly, he is happy to go each day. The directors are super friendly and all look out for our son throughout the day. They also offer extra-curricular activities for a small additional fee. My son participates in karate once a week and loves it. I love it because he gets to learn something fun and new, without eating into our already busy afternoons and evenings together. We will be bringing our baby girl here after maternity leave as well. I highly recommend this daycare!

My daughter has been going to this school since she was 1, she is just shy of 3 years old now. She loves going to school and all of her teachers. I love that there is a curriculum (even for toddlers) and I can tell she is really learning. They were proficient with sign language and my daughter now knows dozens of signs. I was initially worried about putting her in daycare, but our experience here has been great and alleviated all of my concerns. FYI, I looked at the negative review posted by Michael Ramsey.....the guy has posted over 100 google reviews of various places, mostly negative and I cant see what he talked about ever happening.

We LOVE the teachers here. My daughter is in the infant room and the teachers there have so much experience. My daughter does NOT like going to strangers, but she loves them and smiles and waves every day when I leave her. You can tell they really care for the kids. They have been great about communicating to me regarding my child too. Something that means a lot to me, since shes just a baby. I have had problems with Billing (though that was in my favor, so I cant complain TOO much) and scheduling. I e-mail the staff about these things though, and its not been TOO much of an issue. The care my daughter receives is worth it.

My experience with Kindercare in North Salt Lake was wonderful. I just realized how good they are when I had to look for another daycare in Florida. OMG!!! What a difference. I wish I could find a Kindercare like the one located in North Salt Lake City over here, in Vero Beach. I went to the closest Kindercare here but, its sooo different. Im still looking for a daycare in the same level, and its really hard to find. The Kindercare can be a little expensive too, but they offer a lot more than the other locations.
