I enrolled my children in Happy Dayz Preschool on Monday November 29th. I chose this daycare center because they advertised their hours of operation as 5:30AM to 7:30pm Monday thru Friday and Saturdays from 6am to 6pm. I informed the site director that I worked until 7pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, so I would be there by 7:25 on those days. She stated that it was fine. I also explained that I work 1 Saturday per month from 8am to 12pm and she explained that was fine as well. On Monday, November 29th I called the daycare facility to inform them that I was on my way to get my children. It was about 7:15pm. I spoke with Shilpa, the site director and she was very rude. She asked me if my boys were going to be there that late every day, and I told her that as I explained before, my boys would only be there until 7:25 on Mondays and Tuesdays. I confirmed that they were open until 7:30 PM Monday- Friday and she said yes, but that she didnt tell the teacher that was on duty that my boys were going to be there that late. She explained that they usually close when the last kid leaves which is usually before 6:30 PM despite the fact that they advertise their hours to be 5:30 am to 7:30 PM. I asked her if I needed to find another daycare center and she said no. On Wednesday December 1st I noticed that my 4 year had a little cough when I dropped him off at daycare. I called around 1:30 PM to check on him and they told me that he was wheezing, but it wasnt anything serious and that I didnt need to pick him up. I told them that he has never been formally diagnosed with asthma, but from time to time he has breathing problems. I told them that I was on my way to pick him up. When I got there, my son was obviously struggling to breath and none of the teachers were concerned. I took him to urgent care where he was then transported in an ambulance to a hospital (J C Lincoln). On Friday December 3rd, I informed the director that I would be bringing my boys in that Saturday because I had to work from 8 to 12. She told me that I couldnt because they would be closed. She stated that it wouldnt be worth it for her to have a teacher come in just to watch my two boys on Saturday. Eventually after I pointed out that she clearly told me they were open on Saturdays, we came to an agreement for them to go in that day. On Monday December 6th their teacher Linda called me complaining that my 4 year old son wouldnt take a nap. She said there werent any other teachers there to color with him, or do anything with him. Basically she was telling me they were understaffed. On Tuesday December 7th around 2pm, the site director called and told me they didnt want to watch my children anymore and that I couldnt bring them back the next day. She them demanded that I leave work early at 6:00 to be there to pick them up by 6:30pm. This gave me less than 24 hours to find someone to care for my children so that I may work.

Honestly I wouldnt even give this daycare ANY stars .. It was literality the first of the last day I took my kids to this daycare. I have a two year old and a 6 week old baby. Being the over prepared mother that I am I had simple guidelines of feeding an burping my newborn that I did write down AND physical told the daycare providers because my baby to have a medical condition where when he do spit up it will come out his nose and mouth at the same time and if he is not properly burped or has been overfeed and gets put back into bed and so happens spits up that can block both air ways making it hard to breath. When dropping off in the morning I told the morning provider who really wasnt interacting with me at all I felt like I was talking to myself.she seem like she really didnt want to be there but did insure she would like the afternoon provider know when she comes in the same instructions I gave her. the end of the day comes around and I goes to pick up my kids when I went in the infant room to my surprise my newborn son is laying there on the floor just crying his poor little eyes out an it seem like he was crying for a while because his cry was weak. then provider then stepped over my baby and asked which one is yours. I told her the one you just stepped over on the floor and asked my is my NEWBORN on the floor like that her explanation was he spit up a lot so she put him down on the floor lord only knows for how long but he was pal n looked very sick. I was so upset and went straight to talk to the manage who explain to me that I would have to write a consent form saying I dont want my baby on the floor...ARE YOU KIDDING I just broke down and started crying because honestly I did not know what to do in that situations. I gather up my kids and left NEVER AGAIN. be careful who you leave your kids with

My daughter had been going to this day care for two years. Most of those 2 years I was extremely happy with the care my child received there. A new director took over roughly 8 months ago. Little by little issues started to arise. Tv watching in the class room, diapers come up missing, ridiculously high turn over rate with teachers especially in my daughters class. Being sent home in other childrens clothes. This last one made me decide to never bring my daughter there again. I picked her up & she had the most amazing amount of scratches on her face & not one single person knew why or what had happened. Hours later after the video had been reviewed I was told that my daughter & another child had been in a scratching match. I was told my daughter didnt cry or make noise. Two teachers in the room both apparently needed to handle diaper changes not once noticed. So they expect me to believe my daughter who is very vocal allows some child to rake their nails across her face chest & neck doesnt make a sound? If it was a scratching match then why isnt the other child injured? How does a child go all day without an adult noticing her face & not inquiring about the incident? So basically some kid attacked my daughter & she was ignored & was not given any care or love after what couldve been a tramatic event for all they know. The tone from both the director & new teacher was that it was a big deal & i shouldnt be upset at all. WOW never did I ever question the safety of my child & cannot take my child back after this!! Very disgusted at how the whole situation was handled & treated. Not too mention she was wearing another childs pull up. I had just taken plenty days prior. I wouldnt take any child there now cause I value my childs safety!
