I wanted a few spare keys cut and I had a couple blanks of my own. So I started at South Fork Hardware on 20th and Harrison but the lady was rude. She said because I didnt buy the key from there its a liability. I wanted to know more but either way she wasnt going help me out so I left. I then went to Home Depot on 12th and Wall. The guy there couldnt get the key machine to work and then he started telling me the keys werent the right shape. So I left the depot but I remembered something on keys of mine that I have had over the years, they had an A-1 stamped on them. So walked into A-1 five minutes before close and the guy cuts my keys, sells me two more and cut them, no fuss. I paid and five minutes later Im out the door. Why did South Fork Hardware and Home Depot make this so difficult? I should have come A-1 Key in the first place.

Somehow the key to our fire safe got misplaced when we moved into our house, and it had the info both my wife and I desperately needed to renew our DLs. I took it here, and I didnt have enough time to wait on creating a new key before going to work, but these guys jimmyed it open--NO CHARGE. It was a lifesaver, and they definately deserve our coming back to finish creating the replacemnt key. Hopefully well bec coming back very soon.

They spent hours on line, in person and on the phone helping me find the correct key blank for a vehicle that was seeminglying to impossible obtain keys for. I tried to find the blank duplicate key for over a month and even purchased a blank online from Australia before they solved my problem today. Went in the first time had okish service. The man helping me was a little bit rude and complained the whole time but everything worked. Called in a year later to have the same service, just to have a key cut and I was told it was going to cost 3 times as much. Person helping me was very rude, and short. Will be takeing my business someone else.
