I locked my keys in my car a couple weeks ago in Sandy. Sandy city police wont unlock your car unless there are kids or animals inside. So I got on Google and first clicked on an ad that said $19 service fee, $30 car unlock. The guy pulled up in his personal vehicle which was falling apart. He spoke very little English and his accent was so thick I wasnt sure what he was saying. He asked if I had full coverage because unlocking my car might ruin the door or the lock. He was also extremely rude. Then he told me it would be $130, so I told him to get lost. He preceeded to call his manager and have his manager call me several more times, trying to convince me they were offering the best price in town. Once he finally left, and after a lot of scrolling through the scam artists on Google I found Action Locksmith. They had decent reviews so I gave them a call, the quoted me $50 on the phone and thats what I paid. I only had to wait about 30 minutes for him to get there. He was in uniform and driving a company vehicle and he was very nice. It took him two minutes to open my door and no damage. They didnt do the service for free obviously, but they were fair and after dealing with the other company I was happy to pay $50. The locksmith was Jake Buxton.

Good old fashion locksmith place. They told me as it is, didnt try to make a quick buck on me. They were willing to spend some extra time to double check their work also. I bought a 2014 Mustang GT that came with only one key. I did extensive research to avoid buying a $200 key from a Ford dealership. But still, my first set of eBay keys failed. Scott tested them in their machine to check if the chips (transponders) are the same as my OEM Ford key. They were not, so they didnt try to program them. They could have just tried to program my keys and charge me for it even though the keys will not work. I appreciate their time to test it for me before programming it. A week later, I got a different set of eBay keys (this time the right ones), and they programmed them for me. While we waited for the programming, we chatted about cars. Unfortunately one of the keys did not work (made in China junk). They triple checked it before telling me it really did not work. At least I got one out of two working. So much for Chinese made electronic parts. They did not charge me for cutting the two keys either, which I really appreciate.

DONT GO THERE!! I went there to get a key made for a 2003 Lexus I just purchased. I had been there one time before years ago with another Lexus I have and didnt have a problem. This time the first thing one of the guys say to me when I say I need a few keys made is "You cant afford those keys!" I was shocked and completely insulted!! Then they quoted me $350.00 for the key with remote!! and $125 for the valet key. The SLC LHM Lexus dealer is only $250 ($100 less!!) and the valet keys are only $115 so these guys not only are insulting as hell but they also try to gouge your pocketbook. I also called another locksmith and I got my valet keys for only $75. So shop around before you stop there!! I will never return. I hope they go out of business so that others dont have to be personally humiliated and gouged as well. :( This was the location on 3900 South and 300 East. To be fair I have not tried the other locations and I wont waste my time trying them either.

I called last week to get help re-keying all the door locks in the house. NAte was assigned and was here within 30 minutes. Turns out it was a big job, needing back up help and Patrick joined in the effort. The team was awesome, and took great care to assess the need, make recommendations with options and go about the tedious work of repairing or replacing 13 door locks over a three day period. The charges were reasonable and worth it all. I am very happy with the service we received from these two professionals. Thank you for helping us to feel safer and like we now have a much better and higher quality system.

Last night my house was burglarized and a set of keys to the house was also stolen. I called Action in the wee hours of the morning on their 24 hour hotline and scheduled an appointment for first thing in the morning. TJ pulled up about 20 minutes early and was very friendly. The whole ordeal to change four locks and have a few copies made was under $100. I havent shopped around much for this type of thing but it seemd very reasonable. Im very happy with this service!

after having one of their drivers honk at my pregnant wife and I because we were in the way of his vehicle and shouting "move" because apparently he is in such a hurry yielding to pedestrians is last on the priority list, I definitely will not be doing any business with this company and think management/owners might be a little more selective about whos driving their vehicles and representing the company. If youre a woman who likes being treated like an idiot and charged Extra for "Installation" of a car remote battery, then this is the place for you. I took the thing apart and was perfectly capable of replacing it myself, as I had done before. Even though theyre right by where I live, Ill go out of my way, next time, to a Different locksmith! Was the extra 5 dollars Worth Losing a customer for Life?

I locked my key in my Prius after work, these guys were super fast! The guy who came was very nice, and got to work immediately. And I had my key back and car unlocked in less than 5 minutes! I was very happy! And what I was quoted over the phone was exactly what I was charged! These guys rock! Hopefully I wont need them again. But if I do, I will defintely call them!

I needed a key for my car. The locksmith came out to my home in Murray. They were courteous & prompt & got the job done. We had a bit of misunderstanding with the price that was quoted but that was quickly resolved with a call to the office. I will use them again & recommend them to my friends. Well done.

if i could give zero stars i would. worst service ever. waited almost 2 hours with my children and i locked out and even when he got there he wanted to chat rather than open my door even with my child SCREAMING for food. will never use them again nor do i recommend them to anyone!

We had the keys locked into a family members house, and we needed to get in quickly. We googles locksmith on a sunday morning, and called Action. They had a tech there within an hour, and got us in the house. Great service, will use again if needed.

Got 2 remotes programmed here they did work for about week how ever they suddenly stopped working so called to see if they could try to reprogram them for me and they wanted to charge me again will not be coming back here again!
