I rented a Uhaul trailer on 7/17/10. I paid for the trailer in person using a debit card. On the evening of 7/17 I called the customer service number to request an additional day. I was informed that the trailer was available for the additional day and Uhaul would bill my card for the additional day at the same rate as the first day. The additional funds were charged against my account on 7/17 (the first day of the rental). I returned the trailer on 7/18 (Fortunately I took time stamped photos on my cell phone of returning the trailer). The bill for the additional day was for $30 extra dollars (that was in addition to the daily rental rate for the trailer). After inquiring about this I was told that it was a late payment fee or fee for rejected charges. It is implausible to claim a late payment as the payment was made before the date of use. My card provider informed me that there were no denied transactions. This appears to be a fraudulent charge. I assume Uhaul understands that modern banking systems track every transaction. I understand why Uhaul might want to use fees to generate revenue, however I cannot understand how Uhaul believes that it might prevail in using fraudulent methods to create transaction fees when the facts are not subject to dispute. Based on various accounts on review websites it seems as though this is an ongoing scheme to defraud consumers. Be very careful if you extend your rental time.

Im just going to paste a message that I sent to there office. From the beginning - I made an online reservation for one of your trucks for 02/03/2016 for 4pm. Your employee couldnt find my order anywhere in your system even after I showed him the confirmation email. He said that it wasnt a problem and that he did have a truck that I could take. Just like online The total price would be around $50 plus whatever I spend on gas. That was fine. Ive used Uhaul before and never had any issues. I told your Rep. That I wouldnt be returning the truck until the next morning, and he ASSURED me (and I called in the day before) that I would only be charged those fees + a $100 deposit that would be returned to me, Unless I exceeded 24 hours of use. Again that was fine and understandable. So what happens when I return the truck? I find out that because I went off by 11 miles from your reps 65 mile estimated use. That I would charged $110 and some change!?! I knew about the gas fee , I didnt care. But being charged an additional $50 just for going 11 miles over YOUR ESTIMATION IS COMPLETE AND UTTER BULLSHIT!!!

Costumer service is a joke, I was transferred around MULTIPLE times (I was speaking and was transferred mid sentence without my knowledge and ALSO in mid sentence placed on hold without my knowledge) I never even got to a competent enough person to resolve my issue. My issue? BEING TRIPLE CHARGED FOR MY RENTAL! I have called 4 different times, spoke with countless reps. (locally AND at corporate) with NO ONE being able to VOID THESE CHARGES. They wiped my account and caused me negative with ZERO resolution to give my money back to me that they OVERCHARGED BY TRIPLE! No one was apologetic no one offered compensation for the overcharge and causing me the distress of having to to call SO MANY TIMES and speak with SO many incompetent reps who are being paid for NOTHING. I still have ZERO resolution for being EXTREMELY overcharged. The LOCAL charged me THREE times, Im sure with all the homeless living there they probably dont have the most "qualified" associates let alone a decent security system. This place is GARBAGE.

There are hardly words to describe how amazing the manager Dagney, and her staff, Kathy, Cody and Gabe are! I was moving from AZ to UT and was only about 4 hours away when I called the UHAUL call center to get my climate-controlled storage set up. They told me nothing was available and of course, I panicked! I then called the Wall Ave location directly and Dagney answered. She told me kindly "just calm down, youre fine, we will get you all set up". And she did. Not just that, but throughout my year at storing my home-staging goods at there, the Taj Mahal of storage facilities, Dagney and her staff helped me in ways that were not expected or required. I am happy to call them my friends and would refer anyone to them. If you are looking to store your things with easy access, controlled climate, safe, monitored, clean and all indoors, there is no place in Northern Utah that can top the UHAUL on Wall! Thanks again guys! I miss you all!

Do NOT STORE YOUR ITEM HERE! I stored my items for 2 months until I was ready to move. When I came in to put my items in storage for a cross country move. I realized my items were water damaged and had bugs! I immediately went to speak to a employee who told me it was a pipe issue from the rain and to file a claim. When I asked why I wasnt notified his response was "we cant see in the units and didnt know you were affected" I was livid but I just went on to file a claim. 3 weeks after wards I was contacted by repwest (insurance) stating that the manager said it was a Flood and how convieniet is it that they do not covers FLOODS. They do cover vermin and Im waiting to hear back but I would not recommend this place to anyone who values their items and wants to keep them in good condition. Especially with them being prone to "floods"

Worst experience ever. Rented a truck needed another day Dagney the "Manager" calls me leaves a message at 8:00 in the morning calls back 10 minutes later I answer my phone still half asleep and am threatened to bring the truck back after I already paid for 2 day and she says I have to have the truck back 3 hrs before the 48 hr rental period. Then I return the truck and ask for the manager Dagney and she says that 2 days paid for isnt 48 hrs. I storm out after being harassed then get a call the next day asking me to come in and collect my $2.34 deposit that I left! KEEP THE $2.34 AND SHOVE IT UHAUL HIRE SOME PEOPLE WITH PEOPLE SKILL YOUR IN CUSTOMER SERVICE TRY AND ACT LIKE IT!!!!! VERY UNHAPPY!!!! SCREW UHAUL!!!!! I WILL BE MOVING IN 3 WEEKS AGAIN AND WILL BE USING PENSKETRUCKS FOR THIS MOVE AND FROM NOW ON!!!!!

A homeless shelter that also stores stuff. Helped someone load up three units, and I was shocked by the number of people living out of these storage units. Technically, they pay rent so whatever, although its illegal. The smell of urine and cigarette smoke makes things nice. And the alarm goes off every few minutes for some reason. Plan on a minimum of three people with you at all times if you need to make multiple trips to and from your vehicle...one watching your belongings at each end, and one doing the moving. I could look past all that if the walls of the units didnt have a one foot gap between the walls and the roof, making me wonder if people dont climb unit-to-unit and rummage. Personally, I wouldnt feel comfortable storing things in the indoor units at this location.
