I LOVE ERIN at Salon 21!!! She is friendly, professional, and very, VERY good at what she does. I call her the “best kept secret” in the Utah Valley salon world and I refuse to go anywhere else. She has been my stylist for just over a year now and I look forward to my appointments like its Christmas every 6-8 weeks! A little background on me: I used to have no self esteem. In that place, I made a lot of painful choices. Since healing from that, I place a HUGE value on how I feel about myself and how I look plays an important role in how I feel. It might sound crazy, but when I feel beautiful, I respect myself more and I make better choices. And my life is now awesome! :) My hair greatly impacts my daily “feeling beautiful”, so I am SUPER picky and spent FIVE YEARS looking for a stylist. I never went back to the same person twice because with every haircut, I always felt, “I like this-and-this, but I dont like this, this, AND this.” Getting my hair cut was stressful since it always involved crossed fingers, a wish, and a prayer it would look “right” - but it never did. Then I found Salon 21 - specifically Erin. Oh. My. WOW!! The initial haircut I LOVED and it even looked good as it grew out until my next appointment. I rescheduled for the first time in my life! It was just “right”! There is something about a quality haircut that makes me feel like a million dollars. Ill wear thrift store clothes and Walmart $1 flip-flops, but with a haircut from Erin, I could meet the Queen of England with total confidence. We never do the same look twice (my preference; I like to change things up!) and she has successfully transitioned me through different shades of blonde - I even went brown for a bit! - an A-line, short and spiky, a faux hawk, and any other sassy, head-turning look I want. Ive brought in pictures saying, “I want that” and she works it in or talks me out of it (a perm...and she was so right!). If you want to relax, laugh, feel like the most special person in the world, or even cry – Erins chair at Salon 21 is a safe space where magic happens. I cant recommend her high enough. Just make an appointment and experience the “best kept secret” for yourself!

Salon 21 has a great location and offers some amazing services. Recently, however, it left a bad taste in my mouth. As I walked in my attention was immediately caught by the many products offered at the salon. After almost a minute of having walked in, I was finally talked to by someone on the other side of the salon (where it appeared everyone was eating and celebrating a birthday). No one got up to greet me, rather everyone was sitting down and some one was talking to me. Since no one would get up, I asked if walk-ins were being accepted. Finally someone got up and walked over to the computer. After a minute or two of the staff not wanting to get up and do their job, someone got on the computer and checked to see who had the least clients of the day so that person would cut my hair. I now began feeling as if i was a burden to the staff, since no one wanted to cut my hair, get up and greet me, or even come close to me. Erin was "assigned" to cut my hair since no one wanted. She did an amazing job and Im VERY pleased with her service and the recomendations she offered. Im not, however, pleased with the customer service, or lack of it from the rest of the staff. I immediately messaged the owner in private about my experience there and have not even received an apology or a reason to go back. I feel Salon21 does not care about making LONG and LASTING impressions and creating a returning clientele. Not that I expect anything in return, but it would be nice to know the owner is doing something about it. I felt like a burden to the staff, I dont plan on going there again.

I wanted to find a salon that was inexpensive, gave phenomenal service, and had friendly staff to teach me great tips for hair care. Ive been twice now and was very impressed with both visits. Recently moving from a very humid place to a dry place like Utah, I asked and tried different salons to learn proper hair routines for the different climate and how to survive the "dry-ness" haha. Most of the other visits felt rushed, and the haircut tips were given almost in an exasperated manner. During my first visit, I wanted a new look. The stylist gave me great cut options and hairstyling tips with each cut to work with my face shape and clothing preferences. She listened well and delivered what I was looking for. A+ effort! Im only picky about some things in life, and a good haircut is one of them. ;) The second visit I got some new shampoos and conditioners, and was given a great hair routine for "dry weather". The front desk staff and other stylists were very "Real" and genuine with great conversations that were funny, helpful, and relaxing. Far better than your average "dealing with the next customer". If you book a reservation, expect to be helped quickly when you walk in. If not be patient some business are popular and have busy days with heaps of customers. No one is entitled to you and youre not more important then the next person. Guaranteed, this business is working as efficient as they can to help you as soon as they can. Thanks heaps Salon 21!!!

Ive been coming here since August 2010. Salon 21 is awesome -for a few reasons. 1. I never know what to do with my hair or how to style it, so I usually show up looking for a change and I completely trust the stylists here to know what looks good on me. (Astrid especially has really good taste as Im sure the others do too). This goes for me (33) my sister (23) and my mom (58) who have all been here. 2. They are so personable and really care about their customers. They go the extra mile when it comes to making their customers happy. Ive been in the salon and have overheard conversations when a last minute customer calls for an appt and these people seriously do everything they can to fit people in and make everyone happy - even if it means staying later. (The customer on the phone never hears this part of the conversation). 3. Its a comfortable atmosphere. This is one salon that I will keep returning to. Usually I just pick whatever is available as far as salons go - but I really like this one. Ive had good haircuts at other places too, but the people here are SO NICE! Also, Im a mom of two children and cant always make an appointment. So, I appreciate their flexibility. I know they arent secretly annoyed when I or anyone else shows up as I have felt at other places before.

I have been going to Salon 21 for almost 4 years. Im surprised I dont see more reviews on here about Astrid! She is the absolute best! I love going to Salon 21 and the staff know me by name and they greet me with smiles every time. I particularly like how they have a variety of hair product lines. The owners are very in tune with the growing needs of their clients. They have products that are gluten-free, sulfate-free, etc. Using those products has really help my hair look and feel better! Up until I cut my hair to a pixie 2 weeks ago I was getting a Brazilian blowout done by Astrid every 3-4 months. It kept my hair gorgeous, soft, shiny, and no frizz! Exactly what I needed for low maintenance hair! Dont waste your money by trying to save money at Paul Mitchell School or others like it. My hair was ruined by going to one of those, it took Salon 21 to help get my hair to where I actually enjoy letting my hair down! Spend a little extra to get your hair done right and walk out of the door feeling like you can take over the world! Im moving to North Utah County soon but I will still make the trip to come down to Salon 21 when I need my hair done! I love Salon 21 and I recommend everyone to go treat themselves at this lovely place!
