Thanks to all the positive Google reviews for Chase, I decided to come here to fix a butchered haircut Id gotten elsewhere. I LOVED HER. She really took her time figuring out what I wanted, and was knowledgeable enough to suggest some fixes to a haircut I thought would need extensions to be saved. After fixing my color and cut, she took plenty of time teaching me how to style it. I had really been at a loss, as I had never planned to have this hair this short. She was also really careful not to cost me overall length, yet still made huge improvements to the style. She even took a minute to fix my daughters hair, which wasnt as bad as mine but still needed help. We both walked out feeling thrilled we had found her... why did it have to take so long!?! Wish Id been going to her all along. As far as Cake goes as a whole - we loved it, too. Modern and classy, yet still a friendly and welcoming place to go. Our last salon thought they had to be pretentious snobs to be cool - these guys just flawlessly manage it. Try them - seriously.

I called Cake Salon yesterday hoping for an appointment for today. Not only did they get me in, but at the time I requested as well. I jaunted on over during my lunch break and am happy to report, I have a new stylist. It’s been years since I’ve been impressed enough to stick with the same person. Call me a wanton trollop with commitment issues if you like. I don’t care because those days are over. I can’t recommend Nikki enough. I described what I wanted and that I was concerned with the dryness of my hair. We bonded over our disdain for Mariah Carey while she did a deep conditioning. We swapped online dating horrors while she beautifully cut and styled my hair. She described the products she was using without being pushy. I wanted to hug her at the end of our date, er, appointment, but decided instead to stick to first base in the form of tipping and walking away. But oh…I’ll be back.

I have been going to Megg at Cake for about 3 years now, and my hair is healthier and happier than ever! In the time I have gone to her, my hair has been long, short, then long again, dark brown, blonde, platinum, navy, purple, grey... Lets just say, I change my hair with nearly every visit. She keeps up on all the trends, and I trust her completely! There are times I will even say, "just do whatever!" and she does, and I love it! The salon has a great atmosphere. Everyone is friendly and fun, and the staff help each other achieve the best results for the clients. ZERO cattiness, here! They help you know the product you will need to keep your hair in the best shape between visits. My favorite is that they are REALLY good and consistent at reminding you when your appointment is coming up, because I am a flake and would forget otherwise. Cant praise CAKE enough!

I have been going to this salon for 5 years now and even drive from Utah Valley each time. No one has been able to offer the professionalism and knowledge to be able to give me the constant color (dark brown hair to blond) that I wanted without damaging my hair. I found out that this salon and their stylists are top redkin color educators and travel around the country educating other stylists on using color. They are the best, I would travel across the state to have them do my hair. I have never had a bad experience with them in 5 years.

I love this salon. My stylist is Rachel and Ive gone to her for about three years. Rachel can not only deliver what you want but she also has designed a new cut for me that adapted a style I liked that wasnt ideal for my face so that it worked perfectly. I was stopped numerous times by strangers asking me about my cut. Besides Rachel, the other stylists also seem friendly, professional, and current. I cant recommend Cake Salon or Rachel enough.

Chase is awesome! I have thick awkward hair and honestly prefer a pony tail over doing my hair in the morning. Every time Chase does my hair it looks amazing and I feel beautiful. Not sure how she works her magic but she cuts is to feel lighter (but not layered feeling) and make it style easier for a lazy lady like me. I love her colors and how glossy my hair looks and feels after a visit. I highly recommend her and Cake Hair Salon.

Such a cute salon and awesome staff. I was nervous about finding a salon once I moved to SLC and was also not excited about the pretentious vibe I was certain I would find at a nicer salon here but have been totally surprised by my experience. The staff is so friendly, it never feels pretentious at all, comfortable environment. All of them are also really talented. You cant go wrong with any stylist there.

BEST customer service. They are so awesome and accommodating! I had to do a last-minute reschedule for my bridal pictures, which had been moved to 7am on a Monday, a day the salon is normally closed. Melanie was willing to meet me at the salon at 5:30am (!) and gave me a great updo - exactly what I wanted. And she was totally cheerful about it to boot :) I would definitely recommend Cake Hair Salon

Ive gone here for over a year and always been pleased with my hair cuts. I had my hair done by Chase earlier this week and she nailed it. Even though she never gave me a haircut before; looked at my hair and provided some ways we can improve how it grows out so it looks better weeks 2-3 as it does weeks 1-2. Place is always clean, great location and friendly staff. Definitely recommend.

A friend paid for me to have my hair done here as wedding gift. The stylist didnt listen to what I wanted to look like. She pulled and teased and ratted her heart out...and I watched broken pieces of my hair fly around my head. She gossiped about another client with another girl. Im sure its fine if youre a regular client, but I didnt feel as special as I could have on my wedding day.

I was referred by my niece as I was looking for a stylist who knew about color and cutting wavy/curly hair. Chase out me at ease, asked questions, and then gave me suggestions based on my answers and hair texture and face shape. I LOVE my color and cut. I am looking forward to my next appointment. Such a great experience as she gave me styling tips and ideas. Im so glad I found her.

My first time here was on my lunch break. I have been looking for a stylist that can work with my coarse hair and Chase is the one! Just under an hour from start to finish. They are great about listening to what you want, and delivering amazing results. The salon itself looks high end but everyone was SO nice and accommodating! I would definitely recommend Cake!
