We used HPWT to cater our wedding reception, provide bar service, linens, and other rentals. They did a really great job. They were very organized, very reasonably priced, easy to work with, they were thoughtful about decor and aesthetics, and on the day of our wedding the food and service were outstanding. They even went out of their way to work with us and allow us to bring in some traditional foods and desserts that were important to my husbands culture. We had a plated dinner for our reception and thought the food tasted even better on the day of our wedding than it did at a tasting event. We also received lots of compliments from friends and family on how delicious the dinner was. I would highly recommend HPWT - we couldnt be more pleased with their service.

We chose HPWT to cater my daughters wedding at Red Butte Gardens. They were excellent to work with, met with us more than once to discuss options and change everything from colors to menu as our needs changed. They offer a great group of vendors, helping to keep prices in line and offered advice and guidance to make it a great event. The staff took great care of the bride and groom ensuring they had a meal to take with them at the end of the night. We received multiple compliments on the food (that it was delicious - not your ordinary wedding dinner) and handled everything we needed with a smile. Mindy was a great help in our planning, Amber and her staff did a fabulous job at the wedding site! Thank you HPWT for making it a wonderful evening for my daughter!

My fiance and I were planning a wedding in Salt Lake nearly a year in advance. About a week after putting a down payment to reserve the date, I found out I was moving to Boise, Idaho for a job. We canceled nearly 10 months in advance, and asked for any refund (even if it was partial). All of a sudden it was very difficult to get a hold of Kim at Have Party Will Travel. I wouldnt recommend using them. There are many other places to plan your wedding with, and after our experience, they will take your money if they can for no services provided. I work in the medical field and if we did that to our patients for cancelling an appointment made 10 months in advance we would be out of business in about 4 hours.

We would like to take a second to share our side of this story. As soon as we get an estimate request a great deal of time is spent in putting an estimate together before we even meet the client, so much more time was spent on this then they realized. Out Contract does state that there is a non-refundable deposit. However, we have given refunds before, and have done so since. We do some research before we can give a refund to make sure when someone cancels they are not going with someone else and have wasted our time and money. It just so happened to be a very busy time for us and we had made phone calls to the venue to check with them and had not heard back by the time this review had been posted.

We could not be more pleased with Have Party Will Travel. Mindy was so friendly and helpful during the planning process. She also made a point to come out to our wedding venue weeks prior to the event in order to ensure everything was planned for. During our wedding, the entire Have Party Will Travel staff was friendly, professional, and extra hard working. Even when our wedding ran longer than anticipated, the staff continued to be fantastic. The food was terrific. We chose the chicken piccata and crusted salmon for entrees and both were great. We dont have any experience with other caterers in Utah, but we cannot imagine a better experience. Many many thanks.

My wife and I worked with Mindy at Have Party Will Travel to plan the dinner at our wedding. We both appreciated her quick responses to all of our questions, flexibility to accommodate the dietary restrictions of our guests, and willingness to supply extra décor needs free of charge. The food was amazing but the level of service Mindy and the staff at the event provided was the real icing on the cake. We felt Have Party Will Travel was one of the few vendors we worked with that made wedding planning easier rather than more stressful. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a top-notch caterer!

I gave 4 stars because we ended up having to cancel because of unexpected financial circumstances, but Mindy was great to work with and gave me half of the deposit back even though they hadnt rebooked for that day which was in the contract that we wouldnt get any back if they didnt rebook. I would suggest changing it to a full refund if cancelled a few months in advance since no prep work had been started but I do appreciate that I got half back.

When I began planning my wedding I knew what I wanted, but not how to do it. I was so stressed about all the details. I came in and told the coordinators exactly what I wanted and then let them take over from there. When I came into my reception everything was beautiful, delicious, and perfect.
