Action Locksmith...what can I say... anything BUT professional. I called their number to see what they charged to get an ignition key done for my car. She gave me two prices, one for the service charge ($50) and one for the key to be copied ($155) on my 96 Buick LeSabre. When I had learned of the prices, I had asked her if the $155 was the total price or if that was just the price to get the ignition key copied and she said just the key to be copied. I referred to this company because my friend went through these guys and she was in the exact same predicament, only on her 2006 toyota corola. She had lost her keys at my house on a Saturday in October. After looking for several hours, she called Action Locksmith and a tech guy was out within the hour. He was skinny with shaggy blonde hair and a mustache. He worked on my friends car for about an hour, and told her all together the charge of his service was $70. She told the guy and me both standing there, "Wow, this is a lot cheaper than what the lady told me over the phone". This is what I explained to the lady over the phone and she said, "Well that obviously wasnt us because we do not charge $70 for anything." At this point I became strongly offended by her lack of professionalism. I just called my friend and asked her to provide me with her receipt of the service she was charged back in October in front of my own home. I have the receipt now and will be MORE than happy to show them this receipt. After work today, I plan to go to 10919 S. State in Sandy and have them explain this to me. Their great lack of professionalism and no sense of urgency will gladly be addressed to their faces.

I didnt actually use this service.. I would have but went somewhere else because of how rude the lady at reception was. And this is the first bad review Ive ever written. I could not find my keys anywhere for days. So I needed them to come out and make one. I explained this over the phone and when the lady told me how much it was she said it like I was not going to be able to afford it. She also very rudely stated that they are going to need proof that It was my car. Making me feel like a thief or something when I could easily prove this. When I asked if it costs more for a car key than a house key she made me feel dumb by saying its two completely different things. (When how am I supposed to know that.. its still a locksmith coming to you to make a key) I ended up calling bobs lock safe and key where they didnt make me feel stupid or like a criminal and they got the job done. Even tho it was the same price maybe even slightly more it was worth it to be treated with respect. Not saying that everyone at action is rude but maybe get a nicer receptionist ?

Our plumbing technician broke the key off for the back door of his service truck. I called another company and they kept me on hold for a long time and quoted an hour wait for their locksmith to go to a location where my technician was. I called Action and they asked a couple questions and it was determined that since the truck was driveable, that he should go to their shop and have a duplicate made, that it would save us time and the $50 travel fee. Our final charge? $7.21!!!! Being in the service industry, I know how important time is to our customers. This little side issue, didnt make us late to our next appointment! I highly recommend them, and their fairness and honesty. Becky - Expert Plumbing, Heating & Air

This place is a real dump. Customer service sucks. Tried to have two FOB keys cut for a Honda Civic. Service rep was upset because I did not purchase to blanks from him. Was going to charge $25.00 per key to cut. Then insisted that I also pay $65.00 per key to program them to the car. Told him I did not want the programing since I could do it myself. Went down hill from there. He then stated that he would not cut the keys unless I provided the key code. Went to the Honda dealer who charged $25.00 to cut both keys. I asked about the programing and he stated it was $60.00 for both keys but did provided instructions to do it myself to save some money. I am amazed that places like this can stay on business.

Two weeks ago I locked my keys in my car and worked with a locksmith that screwed me over and charged me double. I locked my keys in my car again last night and called Action Locksmith. They quoted me $60 over the phone and that is exactly what I was charged. I was 5 min away from my car when they called and said they were there and by the time I got there, my keys were already out! Not only that, but I was able to get two spare keys made on the spot for $3 each!!! I have a Mazda and so getting keys made are very very expensive, he actually said that if I went anywhere else to get a spare key, they could have charged $65+ !! I am so happy with my experience and have already recommended them!!

I had to have these folks repair the work of "ND Locksmith" that I used on the weekend. Action adjusted the strike seating with a wood chisel to gain proper closure of the latch and the strike. Additionally, they installed door jam spacers so that dead latch component on the door latch DID NOT seat into the strike. This proper adjustment made the lock "credit card" exploit proof. This attention to detail was much better than the 24hr ND Locksmith service I used -- Additionally, Action Locksmith charges are much less than the 24 hr ND Locksmith service.

The technicians were professional and efficient. They arrived quickly (sooner than the estimated wait time, in fact), and got me back into my car in 15 minutes. They also charged a flat rate, which they told me up-front over the phone, unlike some companies that wont give you a price until they come out and see the car. Definitely recommend!

I needed a transponder key cut and programmed, and I wasnt going to pay dealership prices. I sent out quote requests to all of the local automotive lock smiths in the area. Action Locksmith was not only the first to respond, but also had the best prices. Christopher was very professional and was quick to get the job done. Kudos!

Got quote of $75 to get vehicle re-keyed at their location. Got there and the tech wanted to change extra $55 for taking the trunk lock out instead of looking up the vin number on the vehicle and $45 to make the key. After advising him of the phone estimate he looked up the vin number on the vehicle. Will not go there again!

Knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Chris and Bryan are a true credit to this organization. They both made a point to make me a priority even though they were otherwise occupied when I came in. They attacked my problem with resolve and it was impressive to watch. No way I would ever recommend any other locksmith.
