Wow. Let me start with I see my PCP here and have for the past 5 years. Never have I gone into the er here until today. I love my Dr. and other providers I have had to see here and have had nothing but a great experience! Until today. I woke up this morning to severe pain in my lower abdomen. Tried over the counter meds to help with this stabbing pain I continued to have and nothing helped. I felt nauseated from the pain and felt very low energy. Something wasnt right. I do not have insurance and I made the decision to be seen at the this er. I left the er in tears, no answers and no relief to my pain. I arrived to the er around 11 am with these symptoms, saw the dr and nurse once and then was left alone in my room since 11:30 am to around 2 pm. I had thrown up due to the amount of pain I was in and the dr offered me nausea meds to help. I accepted the offer and never heard or saw from the dr or the nurse for at least the next hour and a half. I was laying there in so much pain and nausea with no care from this er. Finally when the guy came in to draw up my blood, I asked him what was going on with my nausea meds as it was taking a very long time to receive them. He took my blood and said he will be back with my nurse. Another hour passes by and Dr. Raju comes in to tell me she cannot find anything wrong with my blood tests and that she is releasing me to go home. I was very upset and frustrated that this ENTIRE er visit my nausea or pain was not treated or addressed. They left me in that room for hours while I am in a lot of pain and suffering. Unacceptable care in my opinion. I ended up going to Jordan Valley hospital and immediately when I saw the er dr, she prescribes me meds for my pain and nausea. Thank you!!! She ordered a ct scan and now I have to take the results to my dr for an official diagnosis. I will never ever in my life go to that place again for anymore needs I have other than seeing my PCP who is great. Never again U of U at daybreak! Youve lost my healthcare business as well as word of mouth to anyone I know who will plan on attending that er. Very very disappointed in the pain and nausea the Dr. let me suffer for hours with no relief!

Here is my beef with all of the U clinics: 1) they dont know you. If I want to call the doctors office, I call a call center and they put me in touch with a message person that gives a message to the doctors office and then half a day later they get the message and call you back. I am used to a clinic where the staff knows you and you know them. If you want to call the nurse you know at your family physician, you can call her and get info. 2) My really big beef started with my son. He had been sick close to 10 days with cold like symptoms and a fever. I can tell the difference between a cold and something more so we took him in. They said it was a cold and said at 10-12 days he will be better. Today at day 18 he is still sick, his fever is back (it had calmed down between then) and he is coughing so hard he is throwing up. I called the doctor with the above mentioned method and 4 hours later I got a call back. Nice enough it was the doctor. I told him the fever was back and my son had the same symptoms and I would like him to please call in an antibiotic. He refused and said that is not good practice. He would have to see my son again and he thinks it is just a cold. So he wanted me to go in and pay another $100+ bill to tell me it is a cold and not give an antibiotic. My son hasnt had one in 2 years which I told the doc. Im not a person who just wants to pump my child full of medicine. This isnt the first time either. It seems the U had a vendetta against prescribing anti-biotics. I was sick, went to the U, no antibiotic. When I didnt get better in several more days, I went elsewhere, got an anti-biotic, was better in 24-48 hours. Moral: if you need something simple like an antibiotic do not go here. If you need specialists, the U had several great departments. Just not impressed with their family medicine.

I came here because I was having issues with my spine and I wanted to make sure I got the best Treatment available. Once here I was treated like a number. I came for three separate visits and had to go over all the same information three separate times. I also saw three different people. There seems to be no continuity between Physicians and doctors. The whole experience gave me the impression but they are completely unorganized and unprofessional. Dont see Dr Henrie.

Almost impossible to get a appointment with out waiting days if not weeks. I have a primary care Doctor and Ive only been able to get in to see him once. I was told that I had to see my primary care to get a refill on pain medication. I called on 02/18/2017 and was told his next appointment was 03/05/2017. But whats a couple of weeks when your in pain.

They really take care of you here and they care about there patients. The doctors are very knowledgeable and if they think its something very important then they will refer you to the ER and even escort you there if theyre not too busy. Great job. I would refer this hospital to all of my friends and family.

I am heading out of town for a conference and my Rx runs out while I am gone. I called ahead 2 days to see if I could get it before I left and was told no. I mean, really..2 days early and im treated like I was asking for an extra 30 day supply.

Ive never been disappointed with UofU Health Care. Always professional but friendly. Almost always in and out in record time. Doctors dont feel like they are in a rush. On site pharmacy is convenient and priced within reason (usually cheaper).

The staff here is incredibly friendly! I had a load of things to do for my new job between labs and a physical and x rays and more. I was able to get it all done here, quickly and with hardly any wait. Clean, modern facility. Super impressed.

We have visited the ER here on two occasions and various other doctors over the last couple of years. All of our experiences have been excellent. Doctors and staff are friendly and responsive. Cant say enough about this clinic!

Brand new facility that has regular doctors like the old location, plus an ER as well as many other services that normally are not available at other clinics other than at the main University of Utah Medical Center.
