Well, where do I start, My husband, my son and I went to Riverdale Café Rio today for lunch. It wasnt busy- which you would think good! no lines, no rushes= no mistakes. Boy was I wrong. My order was ok, My sons was ok. When my husband got to ordering, he had to tell the employee FOUR TIMES that he wanted fire grilled STEAK burrito. The employee kept saying "chicken?" no. I dont know how someone could confuse those two words, especially when it is conveyed four times. When my husband got to the end of the line, again Chicken? NO! Steak. The burrito had a piece of chicken on top, so the one employee was going to fix the order. The original employee stopped her stating that it was in fact STEAK. So I payed for the food, got this to go, and drove home to eat. When home, we sat down to enjoy, and GUESS WHAT? my husbands fire grilled Steak burrito was in fact CHICKEN! To top it all off, I was charged for the STEAK BURRITO! Not happy... we didnt go back to have it fixed, because I wasnt going to waste more gas, to have more unwanted chicken pushed on me.I shouldnt have to order something to go, and then before I ever leave the establishment, have to cut into each order to make sure its right. Especially when you tell them more than once! I hope someone from Café Rio sees this and could make this better for me. that would be nice, then maybe I could give a better review., but I wont hold my breath.. for shame Café Rio

About half of the times Ive ordered from this location, they have messed up my order. I always order a vegetarian burrito with no cheese and there is almost always cheese on it. If I didnt have a dairy allergy I wouldnt complain, but I have had to take my order back three times and once I have just given my food away to a coworker because I didnt have time on my break to go back. The third time the person who helped me gave me a free drink for the inconvenience and the horchata was gone, as well as the tea. I dont drink soda so I didnt even use it. Also their drink/condiment station is usually pretty dirty. I wish there was a Cafe Rio closer to me (the Layton location is good but out of the way) but for now Ive switched to Costa Vida. Gave this place too many chances. But also gave it two stars because the times they DID get my food right, it was really delicious and always warm cause they had to remake it lol.

Usually I love Cafe Rio, however the experience we had today at the South Ogden location was terrible. Our experience was: no air conditioning, waited an hour for our food (it wasnt an overly long line either), got our food somewhat cold by the time it came up, hardly any meat in a burrito, the kids meal we got was a chicken quesadilla- it came out rolled like a taco with little to no cheese, they didnt offer pico de gallo either for the chips that went with the kids meal, no barcode came with our receipt for rewards, two random stray dogs (large dogs) walked into the store and no employee did anything to get them out, the couple in front of us had problems at the register where they got over-charged and the employee nor the supervisor wanted to refund them. Overall- poor food quality, poor customer service, and a bad experience. Hope they get it together, because I want to like them- especially this location.

Oh My, I had a similar review to Lisas. Maybe they hate white customers? I asked for a Salad and the Mexican girl started yelling, "You want a salad?" and I said yes in a normal, but presentable tone twice and then she asked me again, "You want a salad?" Absolutely ridiculous, treating me like I was some child or something. Then as we move down the line, she says, "do you want everything on it?" and I said yes, except the guacamole. Then not even a minute later she asks me if I wanted everything on it? I raised my voice to a point where, I knew she could hear me. I"m sure even the cashier at the other end could easier hear me. WTF? This is the last time I will be going to this Cafe Rio Joint. The other employees are great and the food is good, but as a customer I shouldnt have to be screamed at and asked multiple times what I want.

I have now been waiting here for over 20 minutes. I ordered online more than an hour ago so I could come and pick it up when the food was ready. I love eating at Cafe Rio but i have never had this bad of service ever! I waited in the phone order pickup line for 15 minutes before sitting down. Not once did any of the 10 employees say we will be with you in a minute or sorry for the wait. I had many of them look at me but say nothing. Very dissatisfied with our experience here tonight. I just had to add that I saw 3 employees walk in with ice cream. Clearly the employees are not at all interested in the customers here. We will not be returning.

We love Cafe Rio and have been going there for years, but this is by far the absolute worst franchise location we have ever visited. What a disappointment since we know it can be soooo much better. I was first amazed at how empty it was at 5:30pm, but then we experienced their service and received our meal. They couldnt even get the drink right! Strawberry lemonade was straight lemon juice. Salads were placed on stale tortillas. The list goes on. These types of issues are almost always related to lack of oversight (manager) and dissatisfied/disgruntled employees. Cafe Rio, you need to take action, because this location is bringing you down!

Im not getting it. Ive grown up around mexican food, and this isnt that great.The service was even worse. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE! They are only interested in pushing you thru the line, and not in the quality of the food.When I tried to get my food the way I wanted it,I was treated by the staff with disrespect.I requested the manager, got the same attitude, and was rushed out of line as fast as they could get me out of there.Oh, and my husband, who complained originally, got a small piece of dirty foil in his food.We got the message.Go to the Ogden Costa Vida or Bajio in Riverdale.Fresher food, great service, no attitudes!

Tables and floors not clean. Bathroom has no handsope. I ordered a kids pork quesadilla but was charged for a large one. It was like fixing a flat tire. Looked like a easy fix. But was a Bit___ to get a refund. Had to show them my food!!! They still did nott belive me so i told them to ask the ladies that made it what size it was.... Then they belived me! I was not told sorry or anything even when i told them my food was getting cold! I work in food retail this is not how you handle a customer. I will Not be back. P.S. I WAS NICE AND SAID THANK YOU EVEN THOUGH Cafe Rio was not.

This Cafe Rio is dirty. The windows look like they havent been washed in a week and the chilis they have hanging up have a thick layer of dust! Not to mention they are all broken, take them down! The chicken tastes like is comes from a can and they charge extra for grilled chicken. The employee are soooo slow and act like your twisting their arm to serve you. Also, they look unclean and unkept! I would not want them making or serving me food. After waiting in line for 10 minutes I decided to leave. Do not recommend going there!
