I got my hair done by an asian lady yesterday(i dont know her name, she never told me). I thought i was getting a Highlighting service done. she asked me what i wanted... I was very specific. She proceeded to foil my hair with about 4 foils in the back of my hair, and 3 on the sides and 4 on top. By the time i was done processing, she said to herself (aloud), "the back is done, but the top isnt." So she tried to speed up the lifting process on the top part of my hair by using a blow dryer in that section. then she quickly rushed me to the shampoo bowl. as she was taking the foils out, she kept saying, "its sublte, just like how you want... very natual." I NEVER said i wanted "subtle" anything!! This is stylist code wording for, "it didnt come out the way id expected." She had me look in the mirror and assure her i was satisfied... i felt bad for making her stay long after closing time, so i kindly said thank you, and proceeded to pay. Needless to say, i walked out looking the same way i did walking in that place. only difference was that i had $100 less leaving than i did when i walked in. I know the salon (hair) industry well. For $100 "full foil" service, i should have gotten MUCH more foiling done... that way the Highlights would have been noticeable, and I would have been ok with the result. My boyfriend (who paid for my service), saw me a few hours later and asked, "I thought you were going to get your hair done!?" I replied, "i did." I wasnt going to fuss over it, but he insisted that I at least be happy with the results. and since i clearly wasnt, I called the "salon" today to speak to a manager. the lady who answered the phone was the same lady who did my hair, she claimed to be the manager.... AWESOME! (sarcastically) I reminded her of who I was, and politely explained how I wasnt happy with the results, and asked if I could get them re-done. I could tell she was annoyed with my call. She said, "you MAKE me use [a darker] color on your hair, so thats why it looks subtle." then i said, "right, but if you would have done a full foiling with more foils, the color would have been noticeable, and nice looking." her response shocked me: "i dont have time to talk now, im with a client, can i call you back??" i said "sure!"... well knowing that she doesnt have my phone number. so its BULL. she has no intention of "keeping a paying client satisfied for repeat business." if she would have handled the phone call differently, i would have maybe come back. I strongly suggest anyone considering getting a color/ highlight serice done somewhere else. They also use low quality coloring product lines that they try to sell as "top of the line" color. outrageous! when you trust someone to do your hair, communication is key. The stylist I saw lacked proper consulatation skills. if she would have asked the right questions, maybe she would have understood EXACTLY what i wanted to achieve. If i decide to call back and get my moneys worth, ill write another review about my second experience. otherwise, Ill pay much more to get SOMETHING done; unlike here, where u pay to get NOTHING done!!

I was fooled by the reviews on this website. This lady by the name of Milan, I think that what she told me her name was, so I hope it is her name. I set an appointment for a consultation with her and to see her work, she talked the good talk so I gave her the chance. I showed her the picture of the hair style from the magazine that I wanted my hair to be done and the picture of me when I had this hair style done, which is layered from the back with the blond high-lights; she assured me she can do it for me. I told her my hair takes a long time to grow, so I just wanted my hair to be trimmed from the layered that I had done 2 months ago. She said "sure no problem", but she ended up cut my hair from the waist line up to my mid back. She said she cut it short because my hair was "dead." Then the high-lights came out uneven, since the right side of my hair was not high lighted at all. And instead of the blond look, I got a golden high lights. I asked her to fix it by toning it, as my previous hair stylist would have always done for me (She is no longer in the business due to a medical issue). So she said to me "Its match with your skin color and the blond high lights is too wild on you and it would not look good". She also told me to clip my hair up so the high lights can be seen. I told her that is not how hair high-light work, she brushed me off and said she will fix it next time. Next time?? She must joking because I WOULD NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE. Im taking my time to write this review because I do not want any of you to make the same mistake that I did at this salon. If you love your hair and that you are in style with the current styles, this is not the place. I learned my lesson after having to pay her $170. Yes, I had to pay even I hated the outcome of my hair. I had no choice but to paid her because I didnt want her to call the police on me. Hope this review will help some of you, so make sure no matter where you go to get your hair done, do your research thoroughly, a good sale person does not make her or him a good hair stylist.

This is the second time my daughters have gotten their haircuts. Having experienced their services twice, were never going back. They spoke unprofessionally in Korean without realizing I understand. The manager told my daughters stylist to hurry up because there are customers waiting and to be sure to charge the girls (age 10) adult prices. (Of course the price difference was never discussed in English.) The stylist chopped the hair all the way to the nape of the neck and totally jagged and unevenly. I waited for her to fix it but she let the top layer to fall down and hid it. You wouldnt see the bottom hair but you cant charge a child a ladys haircut price and treat her like someone who wouldnt matter. I told her to fix it as best as possible and she told me that no one could see it and that blow drying to curl the ends will do the trick. Why would I do this every morning for two 10 years olds? The hair got very, very short in the end and she did try to even it up. However, theres a noticeable dip in the middle from where the first mistake was made. I also told her to stop hurrying and take her time to fix it. The manager then came over to chit chat in Korean. Telling me I dont look Korean or that I look too young to be a mom. Lady, Im way over 40 and not in the mood to chitchat after she told the stylist to hurry it up.
