I went here based on the reviews and was very sad I didnt just pay the extra $20 to go to my regular salon. My stylist was so blatantly rude and bored from the get-go, it absolutely blew my mind. She flat out refused to answer me when I spoke to her and would only talk about my hair. That is forgivable, I guess, but she went SO far out of her way to try to skimp on my cut and make it as quick and minimal as possible, it was very apparent this woman does not want any new business and I cannot believe she is not at Hair Cuttery or somewhere like that instead. She initially told me she was the expert and that I should just take my glasses off, relax and let her do her job...OK - except her final product (literally 10 - 15 min later) was nothing like what I asked her to do - and barely even a trim at that! I was not asking for anything crazy people, I promise. Despite showing her in a book and with my hands numerous times how I wanted her to cut my hair, it took 4 tries to get it remotely close to right and then she began telling me things that I had purportedly told her that I never remotely said to justify why this was she couldnt get it right - the whole thing was just really, really, really weird. Normally, I would have whimped out and just left bc I hate confrontation, but since she was so over the top rude and I dont have $80 extra throw around for haircuts right now, I stuck to my guns and had her take the 3 inches off that I wanted. I seriously felt like I was in the twilight zone or something - or one of those MTV specials with someone about to pop out and tell me Im on candid camera. Not only that, I discovered HUGE red gashes all over the back of my neck which she conveniently hid from me as she rushed me out the door after my cut. They were mortifying and painful. In the end, I admit I like my cut (hence >1 star), but feel that for the price I paid, it should have been better (one side is slightly longer than the other but she didnt even pull the hair to check) and it shouldnt have been so hard and painful to get what really was a very basic haircut. 3 inches and a little bit of angle. AND I shouldnt have to hide or nurse my neck for 3 days after...

For years, I was a customer of a hair dresser, who eventually moved to GA. Trusting my cut and color to someone else was like starting all over again and very spooky, as you all well know. However, Thuy, the owner, was recommended so I sheepishly made my first appointment with her. That was about a year ago, and the rest is history! Not only do I feel "at home" every time I go there (with tea and cookies often offered), but I feel that they ALL sincerely "care!" Im famous for my last-minute requests for appointments because I often time my cuts and colors with appointments or trips. Not only does Thuy accommodate me 100% of the time, but shes even come in early on several occasions to make room for me. Shes even offered to come in on her day off (but Id never ask that of her .... yet, that is!!). Ive been unemployed for over a year, but one thing I always include in my budget is a monthly date with Thuy and Tracy, manicurist. By the way, my first visit with Tracy was a little painful because of ingrown toenails, which had gone untreated for months (in spite of regular pedicures at another location). Tracy explained the problem and what she had to do in order to avoid future ingrown toenail problems. I braced myself and survived, but ever since then, shes been taking very good care of my feet and toenails. Now I have no ingrown toenail problems and am pain-free! Try them just once. I guarantee youll never go anywhere else!!

Worst Experience EVER!!! I wanted to change my hair style and go with a lighter color, so I told that to the stylist and even showed her a picture of what I wanted. She then brings out the color chart, and seems confused on what color to use. She proceeds to do a color fill - just touching up my roots! When I asked her how that would lighten the rest of my hair, only then did she try to work the existing color down the strands. The result: my hair was exactly the same color as when I entered the salon. She kept saying it would look lighter when it dried fully, when I went out in the sun (because, as she said, they had bad lighting in the salon), when I washed it, when a few days passed - this woman had all kinds of excuses, but no idea how to do what I had asked. Worse, she charged me for a full color process, when it was clear she only applied enough to cover my roots and when it was obviously not the color that I had requested. She seemed like a nice enough person, and she did do a nice blowout on the hair, she just doesnt know color.

Thuy has been in charge of my hair for over 6 years. I went yesterday for the full spa treatment after letting myself go "natural" during the last part of the school year. I looked drab. Thuy took 20 years off my looks, as always. And my friends say: "Absolutely enchanting"; "You!"; " I can see the mischief in your eyes now"; "Well done!"...and "Dont wait so long next time!" Thuy always sees who and I am and styles me to look better than myself. She picks me up and sends me out swinging. Manicure and pedicure spa treatments were lovely. I rested in the back massage chair waiting for my appointment. My feet were massaged for the pedicure, my arms and hands for the manicure and then my head, neck and shoulders for the shampoo. Then the wonderful transformation back into the best of myself.

Lee did an amazing job on my friends thick dark hair, providing an elegant and attractive layered cut that be pulled back for workouts or hot summer days but could be worn loose and flowing. I have much finer and lighter hair, but I begged my friend for Lees contact info--and Lee came through with terrific color and a great cut for me as well. The color was a challenge since my last couple of stylists had touched up with really dark ugly colors. Lee is not only a very talented and skilled colorist and stylist, but she is also a really nice person. I enjoy visiting with her. I also recommend Tracy for manicures and pedicures. She does a beautiful job and she provides a heavenly foot and leg massage.

I began going to New Image first for manicures and, after about one year, began getting my hair done there as well. My first stylist left many years ago w/o warning and another stylist offered to do my hair and has been doing it ever since. When she is on vacation, she arranges for another one of the stylist do do my hair. I think, over time, almost all of these young ladies have had a hand in dooing my hair. They even did my makeup when I remarried in 1998. These folks are dedicated, they are always pleasant and courteous; they are flexible and will go out of their way to accommodate you. I have referred many people for hair and nails and they have all been satisfied.
