For starters - I typically dont write reviews. I often feel reviews are only written when someone is dissatisfied and wants to spout off. On rare occasions when I feel a product or service is above the norm I like to make others aware - this was one of those occasions. I recently purchase a Lexus LX470 for my wife from out of state. The vehicle was in need of new tires when purchased. I happened to be in the Burke, VA area and had some time to spare so thought - lets look at tires. I have always liked Goodyear tires and stumbled across Burke Centre Automotive as a local Goodyear dealer - I decided to stop in. I was pleasantly greeted by the service manager upon my arrival. I was dead set on the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac as I had ran this on other vehicles in the past as was very satisfied. Once I began to speak with the service manager he informed me that Goodyear did not make the tire I wanted in the size for my vehicle or any tire for that matter. However he did have the original equipment tire, the tire the vehicle came with from the factory - the Dunlop Grandtrek AT23. I was also schooled a bit on tires - I learned that this was a better option anyway as it would wear and ride better on this heavy full-time 4wd vehicle. Here is where Burke Centre Auto shined - I sat down in the waiting area for the long haul to have my tires mounted and balanced. The service manager came over about 15 minutes in and made me aware of an extremely dangerous issue - a severely worn front left wheel bearing. I had noticed a vibration while driving but just thought with the condition of the tires they were to blame. I was shown the problem, and quoted a price for parts and labor. Being the frugal shopper I am I quickly pulled out my phone and looked up the parts - they were spot on and in some cases a bit cheaper - I gave them the go-ahead. Tires were installed, wheel bearing was fixed and I was in and out in half the time of my normal local tire dealer (no names - dont want to be THAT guy) for a standard tire purchase. Kudos to Burke Centre Automotive for finding and fixing potentially hazardous unknown (to me anyway) problem at a great rate and in a more than timely fashion. Thanks again guys - youve earned a lifelong customer here!

Do Not Go Here! They treat women customers horrible. Over 4 hours for a oil change and safety inspection? When I got back my car wasnt even put back together after over 4 hours, they had to work on it! They failed me on inspection, had parts laid out to put on, new brake pads and rotors and wanted over $2,000 in repair costs. It was almost closing time. They did not rotate the tires. Said they fixed a nail hole in front passenger tire & put it back in the same place and tire had no nail hole in it. They were asked to check for leak, not told to repair anything and charge me. Found crack under hood oil leaking from it. They became very defensive, refused to do anything about everything and down right rude. Left and went and bought parts myself had another place put them on and was much cheaper than what they were asking. They had over inflated tires in the past. Damaged my SUV and lied about everything. Including removing original metal caps on tires where you put in air and replacing them with plastic and refusing to give me back ordinal ones. Recorded on iPhone everything they said, plus took photos of my SUV when I returned in the place proving what they said and did. Watched them do this to another older woman also. When I got there they were empty no one waiting in waiting room why it took them over 4 hours for safety inspection and oil change I dont understand plus car wasnt put back together when I came back as they tried to sell me $2,000 in repairs and service I didnt need.

My biggest issue is they are always looking for something wrong in an effort to sell you something you may not need. 5 years ago they wanted to replace a brand new battery in my Volvo and I dont believe they even tested it properly ( battery is located in back of car and not easy to access). I still have the same battery in the vehicle. However, this review is for a state inspection I went through on March 12, 2016. Put simply, the inspection failed for three failed tires with cracks. I was told I needed 4 brand new tires and they could do it for $550. I decided not to do it there as I wanted a second opinion. When I looked at the report and it only showed two failed tires. I discussed the issue of 2 failed tires versus the three they told me over the phone. My technician George told me "the third tire barely passed, but it didnt matter because I needed 4 new tires." I took the car to Firestone and was told every vehicle in Virginia would fail for the three 1/2 inch cracks they could find on my tires. They didnt have time to perform the whole inspection as they were busy, so I took the car to another inspection site, and the vehicle passed. Basically I had two other stations pass my car within three hours of leaving Burke Center Automotive. I find this to be very frustrating and feel that Burke Center Automotive should not be allowed to perform state inspections. They are greedy and dont have the customer in mind, just their profitability!

STAY AWAY! Dont even think about giving them a shot. These are con-artists in a garage. Here are some issues noted with Burke Centre Automotive: * Baised- They will take complete advantage of any and all young/old/female customers that walk in. The prices they charge will vary off your level of knowledge perceived. *Prices - After receiving an estimate for work I phoned 4 dealerships for quotes on prices. Dealerships are supposedly more expensive then local auto shops, right? Wrong, they were charging an added amount of 100% part cost quoted by the dealerships(this did not include labor). ie: Part was $100/ea. Quoted $200/ea. *Customer Service - They really shine here. They will treat you like the dirt found underneath your car. They could careless about any problems or issues you might have with the way you were treated or abused. Note everything they say and do because they will lie about it in the future and have no problems about doing so. They also will find work that does not need to be done just for added revenue, I mean literally will make-up work that was not agreed upon or impossible to be even done and charge an arm, leg, & first born. Bottom Line: STAY AWAY! You wont be sorry. There are plenty of good mechanic shops right in this area, take your business elsewhere.

Convenient for an oil change, but HUGE upsell shop. They are around the corner from where I live and I use the $19.95 oil change coupon that comes in the mail. However, every time I go there they find $500-1500 worth of service which really should be done RIGHT NOW! For example, they told me that my wifes car needed a water pump, new hoses, several belts and a coolant flush. Well, the belts had been replaced at another shop a few months earlier, so I knew that that was BS and when I took it for a second opinion at the independent shop in Fairfax City that I have used for years I was told that Toyota has a technical service bulletin (TSB) describing the "coolant leak" as perfectly normal. Plus, I have not seen any coolant leaking in the garage. Another example...brought my Chevy Equinox in for new front pads and they immediately wanted to replace the rotors as well without looking at the car even though I had no symptoms that would suggest this. My recommendation is to be cautious and get a second opinion when they suggest major repairs. My going to my preferred shop I have saved more $3000 in unnecessary work over the past several years. However, the staff is pleasant and the waiting area is pretty good with clean bathrooms. The shuttle service is also a nice feature.
