Im currently using the this company to make a household move. For the online rental agreement to be valid you MUST click on a small link labeled "accept". I didnt press this button because I decided to talk to a representative to set up the move. The rep said that every thing was taken care of and the next day the pod was dropped off, loaded, then taken away. Three days later I get a voice mail telling me that there was a discrepancy with the rental agreement and that my stuff was going to sit in the original city until I fixed it!! So I get online and click the link. Now my stuff is going to be SEVEN days late! This is because they choose not to work weekends (the only days I have off). This is some how my fault even though they had enough of an agreement to take my $2500.00 and my things!! After they had my things and my money the representative were rude and unwilling to help me! I decided to pay a bit more here rather than going with their competitor to avoid these kinds of things! NEVER again. Watch out because theyre big enough to not need your business. Ill see how this goes in a week when Im missing work to unload my things so I can stop sitting in lawn chairs in my living room.

The whole concept of getting a POD for moving was great. The customer service and drivers were all very helpful and friendly. I had time to pack and load it for 14 days at the old house and unload it at the new house for 14 days rather than all in one weekend like a normal truck rental. That being said, my concern was the 4 part price. For a short local move it was quite high - a flat charge to drop off the POD, a flat charge to move the POD 5 miles down the street, and a flat charge to pick it back up. There is a PODS storage facility right here in the area, so maybe there should be some consideration given for short local moves. Had this been state to state or something longer I would have thought the fees were more reasonable. The monthly rental fee I was fine with since I could load and unload it on my own schedule. So overall a very good, but pricey, move.

I just wanted to let everyone know that i used PODS for the 2nd time to move and store my precious items and I was more then pleased, not only did they let me know when they were coming by sending me an email and a phone call but also the driver made sure my POD was exactly where i wanted it for easy loading from my house. Then all i had to do was call and they came to pick it up and took it to their air conditioned warehouse. The best part was when i needed to get something I needed all i had to do was call and let one of them know and they would have my POD out for me when i got to the warehouse. I would definatly recomend them and I will be using them again.

Ive had my things in storage since June. it was easy delivery and pick up. but now that I need to get into my POD I cant. They called saying their forklift is down and trying to get a new one or theirs repaired . how long does it take to get a new forklift or to repair the one they have when there are plenty of places in town to rent one. whats going to happen when I want my POD back to unstore my things? Not going to happen bc their forklift is still down? Edited:: finally got into my POD but no one called to inform me their forklift was up and running. I rescheduled and showed up.

Customer Service

Web site was easy to find what I needed. Customer Service rep was easy to talk to in order to fully understand my needs. Only concern is that I was told I would be called (on my personal cell phone) on Sunday with time of delivery and this did not happen. Unfortunately, PODS phones were out on Monday and it was very difficult to get a live person to help me. I finally found a local number and was able to get the answers I need. And the POD was delivered (with a phone call to me first) earlier than originally anticipated!

The experience I had with this location for PODS was absolutely the hands down best customer experience I have ever had. The manager went so far above and beyond to help accommodate my family through a very tough time when my child was in the hospital. They helped make the drop off and pickup very easy and accommodate our changing schedule without making us stress. I would hands down recommend this company to anyone looking for the best price with amazing customer service in the Hampton Roads area.

After seeing numerous negative reviews about PODS I thought I better tell my story. Delivered when requested, picked up and delivered when requested at our new house. No drama, no hassle. Drivers always called ahead of time and were polite. My only criticism is when you call in the call center operators sound stressed and rushed.

I got 2 large pods, delivered separately to give me time to fill the first and then taken away together. They were delivered to storage in Virginia where they stayed until I was ready for the move in.. It was the perfect solution for me. I would definitely recommend the service

Used PODS to move to our new home. We ended up needing 3 of them. They were extremely flexible. Our closing dates got shifted and they were easy to work with and reschedule. I highly recommend their services. Their drop offs and picks were timely and very professional.

Working on a special fund raiser for Lackey Free Clinic. Our group from York Assembly of God is setting up storage for this large event with Rob Peterson. Great company to work with. Will be back after the event in May to let you know how we did.
