I selected NOVA Express Movers based on other Yelp reviews. I used the company on 9/6/2016 to load my U-Haul truck in Pentagon City for a cross-country move. All of my boxes and containers were packed and ready, and I rented furniture pads to protect all of the furniture. I asked the movers to wrap all of my furniture in the pads and they said they would do that outside just before loading the items into the truck. I had to remain in my apartment during the loading process and could not observe what was happening at the truck. When the loading process was completed and the movers left, I opened my rental truck to find that the movers did not wrap any of my furniture. They also placed my flat screen TV on its side edge and let it lean against the inside of the rolling truck door. I didn’t have time to call the company to get the movers to return because I had a deadline for my road trip and had to get going. I made a few adjustments in the truck to better secure items and went on my way. As my belongings were unloaded at my destination, the poor packing job became more obvious. Many of the lightweight boxes were damaged by heavier boxes placed on top, items shifted significantly during the ride due to lack of snug loading, and every single piece of furniture obtained scratches. Even the movers helping at my destination complained about the bad job done packing the truck. I have moved across the country three other times and never had a bad experience like this. I expected NOVA Movers to be experts in handling my belongings and packing the truck. After unloading all of my items, I called NOVA Movers. I left a message with the person who answered the office phone and asked for a manager to contact me. I made a total of three calls to NOVA Movers and received only one call back from a manager. Unfortunately, I missed the call when it came in and had leave a return message. I never spoke directly to a manager. I do not expect to receive any refund related to this service, but I do expect to talk to a manager to relay my dissatisfaction and explain how things went wrong. A business needs to hear this information in order to make improvements. I am disappointed that the management of NOVA Movers did not take my calls seriously, and I do not recommend using them for a move or loading job. If one crew performs poorly and the management is not motivated to improve that performance, you can’t trust any of the crews will do well. Find a different moving company. UPDATE: After the company manager saw my review, he contacted me to report that he did receive my messages and apologized for the problem I had with my move.

I had the pleasure of using Nova Express Movers when moving to Baltimore, MD. They were conscientious of all my belongings and made sure to answer any questions or concerns I may have had during the process. They had a professional demeanor and made me feel comforted quite quickly. They gave me an ETA of when everything would be moved and managed to finish an entire hour AHEAD of schedule! Nothing was dropped or broken upon arrival. It was in the condition that I boxed it in. They were nice enough to bring the furniture and boxes inside my house upon arriving as well. Let me begin by saying Im pretty terrible at estimating things. I say this only because I grossly underestimated how much stuff my wife and I had. James and Rob, of Movers Express, assessed the situation, got a larger truck so as to avoid multiple trips with the smaller one, and really hustled to get us loaded out of the old place and into the new within our time frame and budget, all without making me feel like an incredibly a** with lousy spatial recognition. They even worked through their break time just to get it done. I really cant stress enough how professional, careful, and courteous they were, and I would strongly recommend them for anyone making a move within the area..

I dont even want to give this company 1 star. They NEVER showed up! When the driver was contacted and it became clear that they went to the wrong location, he reported he would obtain more movers because he had already dropped the other movers off to another job, and call me back. He NEVER called back and didnt answer my calls. They made no effort to fix the problem, causing me to move myself with the help of only one other person. Completely disgusted with how this companys employees handle themselves. On top of that, he clearly never reported the issue to the office because the called the next day wanting to know how the moving services went! What a disgrace!

I wanted to share my experience with this moving company. I moved with Nova Express Movers in May of 2013. And the guys, Radjev, Adik, and Carlos did a great job. They arrived just on time and worked very efficiently. Finished my move in only 3 hrs! Ive never had such a good experience with movers before. They were also very polite and friendly. The company provides free crates, which are awesome for heavy stuff like books. I have been recommending these guys to all of my friends and family members, and will plan to move with them next year! Their customer service was nothing short of exemplary. Made me feel like I was using an express moving service, hence their name! They were polite, professional, and well coordinated. A well oiled machine of sorts. They showed up in a timely manner, while also coming fully prepared for any unexpected circumstances that could potentially come up. The movers were good guys overall. I would recommend them if youre moving into the local Baltimore areas or New York. They were easy and straightforward.

I used Nova Express Movers couple of weeks ago and I dont regret. I moved from Fairfax to Burke and Kay, Sean, Hassan and Nurdin did an excellent job. It took couple of hours, but I didnt have a single broken item or any stress at all. They were extremely cautious and caring with everything. If I move in the future, I will certainly have them doing it again. P.S. I had a broken item, but it was my fault.

This is the most professional moving service I have used in my 7 years of living in DC area. The are efficient, professional, friendly, and very reasonably priced. They finished the move sooner than their estimate which saved us some money, plus the outcome was great. Id strongly recommend them.
