TL;DR: Nothing was damaged (if you dont count scratched walls). Still, I wouldnt recommend these movers. No uniforms, no booties, and overall we felt we had to supervise the entire ordeal, in general professionalism was really lacking. One mover (who refused to tell me his name) was actually aggressive towards me! Summary: 12 PM - 4:30 PM was spent loading/unloading a 2bd/2ba apartment with 3 guys at $150 an hour. Total was $790ish. We paid in cash, supposedly theres a 6% discount for that. We were so tired, and anxious to be over this ordeal that we paid $800 in cash, and said goodbye. Experience: When they arrived, 5 min after the meeting time, they called me, and asked for a walkthrough. Expertise: After a walkthrough of the apartment I was most disappointed by the lack of moving expertise, or knowledge they could provide. For context, this moving company has wardrobe boxes and mattress covers in their truck that can be "rented" for your move. We took advantage of their moving boxes, instead of buying our own ahead of time. We hoped to pack our closests up, while they wrapped and loaded the other boxes and furniture. During the initial walkthrough, after seeing our closets, I guessed wed need 8/9 wardrobe boxes. They brought up 4. Between their experience and guess work, it was really a waste of time for them to bring up 4 boxes. While they loaded furniture into our freight elevator we could have been packing our wardrobe, but instead we had to wait for them to decide to bring us more wardrobe boxes! Professionalism: There are no uniforms, itd be impossible to tell them apart from people walking on the street. Also they didnt wear booties, and they didnt have booties to put on at our request, we have hardwood but carpet in the bedrooms, so that was disappointing. At one point I came in the living room to find the mover who (literally) refused to give me his name sprawled across the couch to retrieve pillows. He could have walked around the couch and retrieved them, but instead with his street clothes and shoes on, he mounted the furniture? It was so disappointing. The same man that mounted the furniture was antagonistic towards me. I thought he was just a disgruntled employee because hed mutter things under his breath the entire move, but I did my best to avoid him. But in our new apartment I asked where the box was going he was carrying, he responded by sarcastically telling me "I dont know, I didnt label them, cant you read?!" I couldnt believe what I was hearing. After giving him a few seconds to calm down, I asked if he was okay to continue the move. It was such a terrifying experience to have someone so angry for no apparent reason in my home! AJ switched places with him, so that worker stayed at the truck. Im sorry I cant include his name, he wouldnt tell me his name at any point during the move. Drive time: To continue a somewhat disappointing experience, they took a full 60 minutes to drive from Reston to Arlington. Of course, sometimes that timeline is accurate BUT my boyfriend left when they did and arrived a full 25 minutes before them. I got gas, and picked up food before making the drive to Arlington, and I arrived at the same time as them! It was really a waste of our time. Maybe they go really slow, maybe they stopped for something, maybe they know they charge you for an hour of travel so they want to take up the entire hour. Staff: AJ was nice, he was the driver. He must have been responsible for the loading/unloading, because we didnt see him, except for the very end when he took the place for the aggressive mover. Vincent was super professional, he said yes maam, no maam, and was a really hard worker. There was another mover who never introduced himself and was so unpleasant to be around! He was so unfriendly and aggressive that AJ actually switched places with him and began to do the moving/unloading so that the antisocial mover could stay at the truck.

Prompt. Reliable. Very cost competitive. That is how I would describe Mighty Men Moving. We had recently moved from a 2 bedroom apartment in Arlington to our daughter and son-in law’s house in Fairfax County pending the completion of our cottage in Lancaster County PA. Half of our possessions were in storage nearby and the rest were in the house. Our move to Fairfax County had been acceptable, but not great, so we decided to get estimates from two movers in addition to an estimate from our original mover. With Mighty Men Moving, Emmanuel came and gave us a ball bark estimate of $2200 to $2700 after looking at the stuff to be moved and got back to me after he checked the mileage within 48 hours with a final estimate of $2500. The other estimates were $3600 and $6000. With Mighty Men Moving there was no surcharge for the extra pickup location. In addition, there was a 5% discount for cash. On moving day, the crew showed up on time and ready to work. The furniture was all padded and loaded into the truck. The chairs and couch were shrink wrapped to prevent damage. 100’s of boxes were loaded (ok I didn’t count and this is probably a hyperbole). The process took about 3 hours. The next day the crew drove to Lancaster and met us within 10 minutes of the promised arrival time. Everything came into the house. I directed where the furniture went. Everything was unpadded. Mirrors were attached to dressers. The legs were attached to the dining room table. The cleaned up their packing material (shrink wrap and used tape) and took it with them. Oh, the price I paid was the price Emmanuel Quoted, less the cash discount. If you are going to move I highly recommend Might Men Moving.

If youre looking for movers, stop looking and hire Mighty Men Movers in Gulfport. Theyre locally owned, extremely professional, put the customer first and are willing to go the extra mile to get you out/in your home with a minimum of stress. I had booked a move with Two Men and a Truck, and they waited until Id driven nearly an hour to our agreed-upon location to tell me they were going to be THREE HOURS LATE for my two oclock move. This would put me finishing the move sometime around 10 pm. Understandably, I was furious and they were indifferent. They took no responsibility for the problem whatsoever. I almost canceled moving this weekend altogether until someone recommended Mighty Men. They were on the job within an hour of my call and were WAY cheaper than TMAAT. And they sent three men instead of two. All three were polite, professional, efficient and worked non-stop until the truck was packed and we were on our way. When we arrived, the contents hadnt shifted one inch. No scratches. No broken items. Everything was perfect. They unpacked everything lightning fast, yet invariably asked "what room?" for every single item. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Save your money, save the headache, and hire local. Get Mighty Men to handle your move. You wont regret it.

My husband and I bought our first home and I needed help moving all the furniture. Mighty Men Moving was great and responsive from the beginning both by phone and email. The men who showed up the day of the move were fun and fast. By the time my husband got home at 4, not only was all the furniture delivered but everything was put in its place. They took great care of our furniture and asked us questions about everything first. They were mindful of their shoes and tried to make sure they didnt track anything through the house (it was raining the day we moved). Mighty Men Moving was a fantastic choice! I will definitely use them again in my next move and Im recommending them everyone!
