I am writing a review of La Petite Academy on Springfield Road. My son was enrolled at the school at 12 weeks old. As a new mother I was very sad when the day came that I had to go back to work and I had to leave my new baby boy in the care of others. I was comforted knowing that I was leaving him with caring individuals who also had children of their own. His teachers were so kind they assured me that he would be well cared for. I would often stop by on my lunch breaks to feed my baby. It was nice to see all of his teachers busily moving around making sure that all of their babies needs were being met (feeding, tummy time, reading time, playing, and even teaching walking/standing skills, etc). My little boy had a wonderful time in the infant room. He was always smiling, making beautiful art projects, going on stroller rides, learning to walk and even eventually talking. The moment that I truly knew he was in the best environment was when he held on to his infant teacher and decided to stay on her lap instead of coming to his mommy. As strange as it sounds from one parent to another this is what you want, for your child to be so comforted and happy in their care takers arms that they want to stay with them. That’s why La Petite Academy on Springfield road is the best. They care…they truly care.

My daughter attends LPA on Springfield Road. She has only been there for the last month or so in the Junior Kindergarten program with Ms. Melinda. My daughter in the last month has progressed so quickly with her writing and reading skills. It is truly amazing how much she has benefited in such a short period of time there. She was at another LPA location before this and their program was no where near as structured as this Jr. Kindergarten program is. My daughter will truly be prepared for Kindergarten next year. She loves going to school everyday. She never comes home with anything bad to say. The staff and directors there are wonderful. My daughter truly enjoys the homework she gets to take home to work on with us. I am so pleased at the small number of students in her class and the one on one attention she gets from Ms. Melinda. I also enjoy the emails I get in the middle of my busy work day with sweet pictures of my daughter having so much fun learning at LPA. I only wish we had transfered her there sooner!! Thank you to the LPA staff for all the wonderful work you do and the care you give her.

After much deliberation I chose to send my daughter for her first year outside of the home to LaPetite Academy. The warm welcome I received from the Director and the staff reassured me that I was leaving my child in very capable and loving hands. Quickly, my daughter excelled and expanded her knowledge. She is 4 years old in pre-k and is reading at an advanced level on her own. Since she will be attending kindergarten this fall at a private school she had to be tested for placement. She tested at the 6 year old level and even the testing school had to commend LaPetite on the great job that they had done teaching her. I do believe I made the best choice possible for my daughter. She has grown and excelled in ways that has even surpassed my expectations. The staff at LaPetite are the best. This is not just a job for them they truly care and work hard to see children succeed.

I couldnt be happier with the care and development our children received under the care and leadership of La Petite on Springfield Rd. The Director is aware of everything going on 100% of the time, has close relationships with the teachers, and I have full confidence that when our youngsters are in their care that they are safe and well cared for. I am beyond pleased with the way our kids have learned to socialize and adapt; they even learned the days of the week, colors, and months of the year in Spanish before starting KINDERGARTEN among so many other things. We are incredibly thankful for the EXCEPTIONAL faculty at La Petite and would recommend LPA to any of our family and friends!!!!!

I absolutely love La Petite! I have felt very welcomed from the beginning which started with my tour of the school. Every single staff member is so friendly and I can see that the children truly love them. My little man is in the infant classroom and has developed quite a bond with his teachers. Since day one I knew he was in very capable, loving hands and that makes it so much easier to go to work each day. Logan is 9 months old and he smiles every morning when I say, "lets go to school". I observe everything when I drop my son off in the morning and when I pick him up. I have noticed that all of the kids in every age group seem very happy and they are all polite and so sweet.

I would recommend La Petite Academy to any parent!! This is an amazing school that I am so happy we are able to attend! I have three children that are enrolled, one for before and after care and two that get to experience the curriculum all day! I am amazed, excited and SO proud for what my 2 and 3 year old have learned there so far! The teachers are amazing and the management is fantastic! Pam is the Director and she has been so helpful and accommodating! I am so thankful to have found La Petite Academy and although all the locations are amazing, the Glen Allen experience has been a complete joy! Deserves 10 stars!!! Thanks La Petite Academy!!!

This center is absolutely one of the BEST in Glen Allen. My daughter attends and I love the fact she is so loved by the entire team of teachers at this school. Everyone knows her and she enjoys going to preschool everyday. I cannot say enough about LPA. The care and education that she receives is beyond my expectation. Thanks to Ms. Pam and her staff I go to work without worries about my child. Destiny loves to learn. This school is clean, bright, and full of positive energy!

My son loves La Petite Academy-Glen Allen! The director Pam and employees are the best ever!! I have experienced other daycares, but never one like this. The employees are friendly and very helpful. They are dedicated in making sure your child has the best experience. The children actually learn here and during the summer there is something fun and exciting planned for them to do every day.

My son has been going to La Petite since he was 2 years old. He has grown and enjoyed the friendly teachers for the past 5 years. The years at LPA made him well prepared for school, he was not shy and very responsive to instruction. He continues to attend LPA for afterschool and summer programs. The variety of learning activities at LPA makes him well rounded and eager to learn.

La Petite Academy has wonderful, caring staff that really do care about children. I am amazed at how much each staff member that takes a profound interest in the education, fun and playful environment and safety of each child. And it is because of this that I recommend La Petite Academy to any parent in search of a daycare center in the Richmond area.
