We were previously at another daycare , but was unhappy how often our 4 year old got sick. As soon as he recovered he got sick again. After checking out all the other daycare and preschools in the Richmond/Glen Allen areas, we decided that the TLE was the best for us. Weve been here for about a month now and I have been nothing but impressed with TLE and heres why:1. The facility is very secured and clean. They even have a room with a small theater and they even have a mini main street USA, kind of reminds me of the one they have at the Childrens Museum. 2, They have an awesome curriculum that consists of phonics, math, writing, Spanish, sign language, etc. Although we have not been here that long yet, I can vouch that the quality of the curriculum is so much better than where we were. I thought my child was ahead, knowing how to read at four, but every kid in his class already knows how to read through their LEAP program (Pre-K 2 class), so my kid is actually a little bit behind. This place is very dedicated to educating your child! There is a monthly booklet that they send home at the end of the month which shows what your child has been doing each month and how they have progressed. The best part is that the teachers give homework for the students to take home; I think thats a great idea to help them prepare for kindergarten and get the parents involved. On top of that I have never seen such well behaved children before!3. The teachers are very firm but are always so cheery and kind. They know how to interact with the kids and have been nothing short of professional. The center directors are also very sweet and easy to talk to. We were not very fond of the director at our previous daycare. The best part is that our child loves coming here and we can see vast improvements on just about everything. At our previous daycare, the academic part lasted probably about 1 hour, here there is just so much well-rounded. The only thing I would change is making the lunch menu just a tad bit healthier. All in all, we love this place and wish we had switched sooner!!!

As a parent of two children enrolled in the preschool room and infant room I can honestly say my children are so happy and truly look forward to going to school every day.. The staff is so friendly and helpful that it is unbelievable. From the time we walk in the morning we are greeted with smiling faces from the director all the way to the teachers in other class rooms. The facility is clean and neat and well taken care of. My children are always happy and neat when i come to pick them up. My preschooler is really learning things such as phonix and im confident that she will be ready for kingergarten next year. Ive had my children in this center for a couple months and this is the happiest i have seen them in a long time.. They are eager to go to school in the morning and dont want to leave at pick up. The lunches and snacks they provide are kid friendly and yet nutrious as well. If you are looking for individual attention and a wonderful staff i encourge everyone to come check it out and tour the center im sure you will be pleased just as i am. I feel like my children are really part of a family when they are at school...In fact they call it there home away from home:) We just adore the Learning Experience at Short Pump:)

We are so pleased with the care that my children get at The Learning Experience! My kids have been at TLE since the center opened. They were 1 year when they started in the infant room and within one week, they were using sign language. I can name a teacher each year that has made a difference for my children. The care and concern for my kids is apparent. They have a fantastic summer program for school aged kids. They do a really nice job of celebrating milestones for the children. The unique learning experiences are too many to even list but they are amazing (yearly talent show, tasty Tuesday, pre-K graduation... ). Our kids ask to get there early in the morning during the summer and want to stay late to participate in their activities.

I would describe the quality of TLE as very poor. I sent my two kids there. Some of the teachers were really great but the teachers who were at my kids classs didnot have any manners and did not treat the kids properly. They were very cold and got very furious, if I wanted to know about my kids. Some of them, hardly greeted or smiled. They didnt want to communicate with parents and felt offended,if the parents wanted to know about their kids. I waited and watched, but their behavior didnt change so I had to change the school. I didnt feel comfortable sending my kids there, because of such unprofessional attitude of these teachers. Thank god, I decided to change the school and my kids are so happy now.

I started sending my son to this day care center when he was 9 months old and I absolutely loved it. From the time we first visited for a tour, it felt professional and safe. It was clean, all the teachers were very kind and caring. The center director and owner were very accomodative of our timings and vacation plans, advised us on how we can best plan our vacation while saving money. The other kids there seemed very happy to be in there too. They learnt a lot, including sign language. My son was there for almost a year and we enjoyed every bit of it. I had to take him out since we moved to California. We all miss a professionally managed day care like TLE here.

I have mixed feelings. I see good and bad. Good part is most of the teachers are very caring and take care of the kids well, Especially teachers for 4 years old kids are very good. Till 4yrs of age dont expect your kids will learn anything here, They just take care of your kids. I see few staff are very inpatient, they seems to listen us but never. 80% of staff is good, if your child come under those then you are lucky otherwise you will have tough time. Management wise they are very commercial, not that friendly. Also dont go by reviews here, they play bit tacktics to get good reviews in internet websites. Get feedback directly from parents .

I absolutely LOVE this center! I have been sending my son to TLE for coming up on a year and have been very satisfied with the care he has received. I feel he is 100% safe when I drop him off and he is always so happy when I pick him up. The teachers and administration are very friendly and open to discuss with you any concerns. My favorite part about sending my son there is the sign language they have taught him. It has helped him communicate with me his wants and needs. I fully intend on sending my baby to be there in the Fall.

I would highly recommend The Learning Experience in Glen Allen. Our child has been going there since they opened and weve been extremely happy with the teachers and the curriculum. The rooms are very bright, colorful and very clean! Our child has learned so much and looks forward to going to school! Our child is very happy there and I encourage any parent that is looking for a preschool or daycare to visit the center and talk to the staff!
