I went to Ebony in August and she did a wonderful job on my initial highlights and bob cut. I went back to her In late October and it was the worst hair experience of my life. I have relaxed hair and I was apparently one of her only clients that had relaxed hair. I asked her before my October appointment if it was too soon to "touch up" my roots I also asked her to trim 1/2 inch off the back of my bob. Initially she had given me light brown highlights that I loved. At the consultation before my appointment, I also told Ebony that I had just relaxed my hair 9 days before. She felt my hair and told me it would be fine. She ultimately ended up moving my appointment up 4 days which I think caused her to overbook her appointments and not pay the attention to me she should have. After she applied the color to my hair, I sat in AGONY for 1.5 hours (45 minutes under a dryer and 45 minutes trying to get her attention) before finally approaching her and asking if my hair should be burning. She had another girl rinse my hair. The result was completely blonde hair, for which I never asked and had discussed with her that blonde was not a color I wished to have my hair, and she had damaged my hair so badly that she just hacked it off. You may wonder why I didnt intervene at some point in this horrible experience. I wear glasses and am blind without them. I could not see what she was doing until the end. I was devastated. She blamed me for the huge amounts of breakage to my hair. I have spent more than twice the amount I paid her to ruin my hair trying to rehabilitate it. I now wear a wig.

Well last week was my first time at this salon and I must say I absolutley loved it; And I will defintley be booking again! From personal experience, at first I was a little skeptical because you never know what youre stepping into when you visit a new salon, however HAIRista has been one of the best experiences Ive had with salons in this area. The stylist I booked with, Nakita, her process was very simple, I used her style seat app online to book the appointment, this allowed me to pick a date and time that works with my schedule and then I received a prompt and a confirmation message to confirm my appointment. When I arrived I was greeted with politness and professionalism. I described what style I wanted and Nakita executed it very well. She is very talented and so down-to-earth. I recommend her services and this salon to anyone. (And FYI Im using my boyfriends gmail account hence the boy name Sean lol..I really wanted to share my experience with others, hope this was helpful! Tiffany J :) )

I was scheduled to have my hair done by Nakita for my wedding. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, she was completely unresponsive. She would not return my text messages or phone calls. I left voice messages, and even had friends who knew her better call and text. Even though she came highly recommended for doing hair, she became an expert in dodging her obligations. Her lack of customer service and responsive overshadows her reputation for styling. I would not recommend her to anyone, especially if you are relying on her for a special occasion. In the days leading up to my wedding, I was scrambling to find a stylist and ultimately had to pay my personal stylist to travel over 4 hours. In the end, it was worth it to know that I would have a stylist who would actually show up.

I have been going to this salon for a while now, and i love my outcome every time! My stylist Nakita is what has kept me a consistent customer. Since she has been doing my hair it is healthier, longer and has a luster that Ive never had going to any other salon. Also Nakita is professional, she never jacks up her prices like other stylists are known to do, and she does her best to make you feel comfortable during your experience and satisfied with your service, i definitely recommend this salon to any one who wants to receive amazing service, a comfortable/fun environment , and stylists you can trust.

I went to Hairista and I absolutely loved it ! The setting was perfect the salon is very nice and so was the music. I felt comfortable and my stylist nakita made my experience even better. Nakita was there on time ready to style me and she was also very professional. She gave me a very inviting vibe and she was very attentive to my needs. If youre looking for a salon with talent and someone to bring your Vision to life this is the place to go. I will definitely be paying them a visit again because I value quality service and people who value my business.

Amazing every single time! Ive been coming to the owner, Ebony, since my sophomore year of college and my hair has never been more healthy. The welcoming environment mixed with the stylist personalities is what also keeps me coming back for my bi-weekly appointments! If you havent visited the shop to get your hair done you are certainly missing out.

My hair stylist was 30 minutes late. I was in the hair salon for over 5 hours because she was working on 4 other people at the same time. The other hair stylists were not friendly and very unprofessional. The only reason Im not giving this place a one star is because I liked my hair when she was finished.
