I took my car there for a 2nd opinion following a rejected state inspection for exhaust hangar which I repaired and the rack n pinion leaking. Upon reinspection rack n pinion was leaking which was shown to me and that was all. Got a quote for $729 to replace r n p......went back the following Wednesday after dropping it off on a Friday leaving it over the weekend. Went to pay and the charge was $894 because they stated tie-rods needed replacing and a few other things. Did they really, since they passed both the initial and follow-up inspection? I usually do all my own work as a shadetree mechanic but, like having a place when I am in a jam. A discount was given of $50 but still paid $115 more than the quote. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK. I received no call asking if I wanted them to do the extra work, to me, that is bad business and is not acceptable! If I knew they wouldnt place a mechanics lien on my car I wouldnt have paid for the extra work especially since I had and showed the original estimate paperwork......

UNRELIABLE, QUESTIONABLE SERVICE. I brought my car to Kings Automotive For a diagnosis after the engine stalled out while driving. The mechanic said he could not find anything wrong with the car. I see my car being pulled up to the front of the shop, thank the mechanic and receptionist, and walk out to leave. I sit in the drivers seat and can not help but see the starburst fracture the size of my hand in the windshield directly in front of my face. The mechanic took no responsibility for the damage. He claimed never to have seen the crack. They suggested I call the landscaping company across the street, which was closed at the time. Later, my check engine light came on. There was over $1000 worth of repairs needed, including a $200 windshield. If my car broke down in downtown King George, I would rather push it to Fredericksburg than return to Kings Automotive.

Terrible Experience, Have taken cars there for 3 years until now,. Got a inspection on a 1990 plymoth and failed. So I fixed the problems and to what he said"Supported the headlight". I go back 4 times, everytime theres no inspector there. Finally, MR/ Wade King the owner himself reinspected and failed saying now I need a complete headlight bucket. This was new news to me, So I left and he didnt roll my window back up, I said thanks for rolling my window up, He came out shouting and I told him it was not like that and he cussed me up and down. I told him Ill never come back here and he cussed me to get out. REAL proffressional WADE KING.

Professional shop and the owner stands behind the work. Been taking cars here for 6 plus years. A few years ago some work done to my vehicle turned out to have been done improperly and resulted in a failed inspection. When the owner looked back at the maintenance records he realized one of his former employees had done work that directly caused the failed inspection (and necessary repairs). He took care of the repairs (including parts) for free. Ive been doing my own oil changes for the last year or so, but for everything else (including inspections of cars that I might buy) I trust Wade to do it right or make it right.

I have had my car serviced by Kings Automotive since 2006. I have never once had an issue with the service or the repairs completed on my vehicle. Everyone at the shop from the front desk to the mechanics to the owner Wade King has been nothing but professional. The service has always been completed in a timely manner and all repairs were explained to me before they were done and afterwards I receive a detail bill listing all of the repairs, parts used and labor etc. I would highly recommend Kings Automotive for repairs/service/inspection to your vehicle.
