We recently went with Ferguson General Contracting to finish our third floor from a completely unfinished attic to a second master bedroom with full bath and walk-in closet. Ryan Ferguson impressed us from the start with his responsiveness, knowledge (he knew county code inside and out), and creativity in helping us design the best space possible. He provided a quote for the work in a matter of a day or two after working up the full design and clearly detailed the process, materials, quality and price we could expect. The price was very reasonable and now having seen the finished product, we are very pleased with our decision to use FGC. He actually came in under budget so we decided to use part of our built-up credit to install a large granite countertop in our original master bath. He juggled our additional work with ease. His team was courteous and skilled. His use of Google Calendars to deliver the daily work schedule right to your phone was very handy as well. Renovations are intrusive by nature, but Ryan and his team did a nice job of limiting the inconveniences and delivering a final product with which we are extremely pleased.

Our vision for our kitchen was a bit unique since it involved keeping much of the existing high quality wood cabinetry and supplementing it with the new cabinetry and other features. Most contractors quickly dismissed our plans and pushed us to perform a complete “gut and remodel”. They were not interested in working with us to help us achieve our vision. From the initial meeting with Ferguson General Contracting, Ryan Ferguson, the owner, listened and took the time to understand our vision for our kitchen project. Ryan worked with us, answered our questions, and helped us finalize the details before jumping in. Ryan worked hard to get the project completely fast and timely as well as going above and beyond to fulfill some add-on requests. During pricing and contracting, he was honest about what he could do for me verses what would be better to get through a large retailer. FGC recently constructed a bathroom in my basement that was already roughed in for plumbing. Ryans knowledge of local building codes was one of the reasons we decided to choose him for the job. He was always available, and had a great eye for the layout and design of our new bathroom. My wife and I have three kids and were concerned about having construction going on in our house. The work area was always kept clean and safe. No tools or rough materials (splintered boards, exposed nails, etc) were ever left out in the open. It was great working with Ryan and his crew!

Ryan is a super nice guy and we ended up with a fine new bathroom in our older home in the city of Richmond at a reasonable price. It took quite a while to get there with some great subcontractors and some less than stellar ones.
