My wife and I did not care for our original landscape, so we decided to take it all down to dirt and start over. After talking with David and seeing some of the designs he had created and installed, we knew that we wanted Native Landscapes to do our project. My wife is Japanese and I had spent many years in Japan myself, so our inspirations had formed there. We explained these concepts to David, he did some research and worked with us on a contemporary design that pulled in concepts from Japan, including the types of plants and trees. Native Landscapes fully supported us in getting design approvals from our HOA, so that was relatively straightforward. We both traveled a lot during the project, and David and Mary kept us well-informed on progress and any decisions we needed to make. They also kept us well-informed on estimated costs and changes as we went along, so there we no surprises at the end. The biggest problem with our landscape was drainage. After a heavy rain, our yard would just sit in water. David understands this very well and he developed a great drainage plan. He even tied in a neighbors property so that their lawn’s runoff would not soak ours. Out of all the things we love about the results, solving the drainage issue is a huge relief. As David will tell you, drainage is an essential element of any landscape design. It took a little time for Native Landscapes to get to us as they are in high demand, however it was well worth the wait. And once they started, they were fully engaged on our project and finished it on schedule. David even pre-built in some features so that if we wanted to add to it later, we can. We could not be happier with the results and our home now feels complete. We have asked Native Landscapes to care for our investment and to shape our landscape into what David envisioned in his design.

David and his Native Landscapes team where prompt, reliable and professional for the install. Follow up has been virtually non existent. I had repeatedly mentioned the 7 ferns where not doing well having been planted in sun and need shade as well as other many issues that have come to light with time. This was obvious from early on and David said wait until summer and everything will kick in. It is now the end of June and the grass and plants frankly look sad. Maybe our project was not expensive enough. Would not recommend.

David removed and rebuilt our pool decking and patio, and redesigned our back yard, changing the grading, creating new half-walls and steps, and building an outdoor grill area. He designed and built a beautiful pergola, and then lit it and the grounds in a tasteful but dramatic way. He finished it off with thoughtful and lovely landscaping. Native Landscapes successfully completed two projects for us. The first included an outdoor fireplace, patio, and landscaping. Phase II of the project included a masonry constructed covered outdoor kitchen & bar and extensive landscaping renovation (trees, shrubs, flowers, lighting, etc). The designer, David, is creative, thoughtful and attentive to your needs. We highly recommend them for projects large and small. We also use their services for ongoing maintenance and seasonal plantings.

I have a long established yard in the historic district that was ok, but David from Native landscapes made some simple but dramatic improvements that the average homeowner would never conceive of on their own. Im very pleased and plan to use this company in the future to properly restore the existing brick retaining walls and walkways.

Said that job was good enough and they were to busy to even quote my job. Secretary said I could find anyone on the road with a landscape truck to do my job. Terrible customer relations. Will never recommend.
