I have been a long time client of Oasis Salon. My stylist is Melody, although my children have been seen by other stylist at the salon. I can say the atmosphere is serene. The salon is extremely well kept & state of the art. All employees are extremely professional. You can tell they all stay on top of the latest trends in hair and makeup. Melody is one of the best stylist I have ever met. She taught me how to properly care for my hair and taught me the importance of my hair health above all. She always explains her process & is a true master stylist/colorist. I moved to New York...and I still travel to VA so that Melody can work her magic. The fact a person travels 6 hrs to visit a salon/stylist clearly explains the 5 star rating. This will be the last salon you ever visit. Please note: I am Dominican with extremely curly hair. It was very hard to find a salon in VA. They can handle all hair types.

After being with the same stylist for eight years, I was heartbroken when I moved and had to find a new one. I am especially particular about my hair because its very long, and us girls with long hair have the nightmare of someone new coming in and chopping it all off! Anyway, my overall experience at Oasis was very positive-- clean salon with a very inviting staff. Angie did a wonderful job with my highlights, after first reviewing color swatches with me and making sure I was comfortable. Scheduled my next appointment for August, highly recommend! ************* Update 9/2012: Just wanted to compliment the salon on their customer service again. I wasnt fully satisfied with the second round of highlights I received a few days ago, so I went back and the owner (Cristina) fixed them, free of charge. Definitely will continue going to the salon in the future :)

I had a total transformation Thursday here! I have very unruly 3B type curls and trying to get them frizz free and straight normally takes me around two hours. With a baby and a deployed husband it just wasnt realistic. I was referred here by a friend and made an appointment with Melody. Let me tell you, she is a delight! So professional, down to earth, and incredibly friendly. She suggested the Brazilian blowout and we got to work. The process didnt take very long and I was amazed! My hair had never looked so smooth and shiny. Now you know theres always the worry that it looks great at the salon but youll never be able to replicate the look at home. Not this time! I waited a few days to wash to make sure it was really set in. After a 20 minute blow dry my hair looks just as lovely as it did in the salon. I love my hair and I owe it all to Melody at Oasis!

When I moved to Newport News I tried several salons and I had some pretty awful experiences. Then I finally found Oasis. Courtney fixed the mess on my head that another salon created and Ive been her fan ever since. No matter if I brought a picture and told her "exactly like this" or just had a vague idea - I always loved the result. Shes great! Besides I always felt very comfortable at the salon. The atmosphere is trendy but cozy and the girls are all very nice and friendly! Coffee, cookies and such are also a plus. The prices are fine. Not super cheap, but not overpriced either. I would recommend Oasis to everybody, Ive been going there for a year now and I was never disappointed. You can expect a great team and great results!

I have been going here off and on for the last few years with no disappointment. However, I have to shout out Donna. I got a horrible, awful hair cut a year ago (not from here-Village Stylists in Newport News) that I have been trying to fix ever since. The last few hairstylists did what they could, but yesterday I went in and saw her. Although I did a bad job articulating what I wanted (trying to even up some layering), she managed to give me exactly what I wanted. I am happy with my hair for the first time in literally a year. I left without getting it dried or styled, so now that Ive had a day to see what it does Im very, very pleased. Would highly recommend.

Lorree has been cutting my hair for many years, so when she recently moved to the Oasis Salon, following her there was a no-brainer! Lorrees great at helping you choose the right style for your hair and then doing a terrific job cutting it. I grew my hair out a few years ago and she skillfully made the transition go smoothly. I couldnt be happier with my hairstyle and highlights. The salon itself is awesome, too! The shop is clean and neat, the decor is relaxing, and everyone who works there is friendly and professional. I highly recommend that you check out Oasis for your next haircut!

I was feeling quite poorly and wanted to get a haircut, color and my nails done before a scheduled medical procedure. My normal stylist at another salon was unavailable. I felt terrible the day I visited Oasis and the staff could not have been more accommodating, attentive and compassionate. They worked me in, and the quality of services provided was exceptional. I enjoyed the collaborative, "no drama" nature of the salon where everyone worked as a team. At a time when I felt physically under the weather, they made me feel so much better. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Oasis.

I had my hair and makeup for my wedding done here. Melody captured exactly what I wanted for my makeup. She was very pleasant to work with and did a fantastic job. Nicole was also amazing. She was flexible when I changed my hair plan last minute, and made me feel beautiful on my big day! Throughout my appointment, I really appreciated that both Melody and Nicole consistently asked if I was liking what I saw and were pleasant when asked to make a change. I was very impressed with their customer service and flexibility; and really enjoyed my time there. I would highly recommend them!

I have been going to Melody for a little over a year now! She has completely transformed my hair! I first went in because i had tried to color my own hair too many times, and totally screwed it up! The worst part was that it was completely fried! Melody not only got my hair back to the color I wanted, but has helped me get my hair back to being healthy and beautiful! She has taught me how to take care of it and how to style it to make it look exactly how I want. I dont know what Id do without her! And I just love the atmosphere and all the stylists in the salon! I love it!

I was looking for a place to get a haircut because Im new to the area. Found this place from a Google recommendation. I had Nicole as my stylist. I would just like to say she went above and beyond my expectations. I showed her some low quality pictures of a haircut I had before and she matched it to a T. She was very fun to talk to. She made sure that I liked every aspect of my haircut. We even talked about relatable things about our lives! Im very pleased with the customer service and cut I received.
