My husband took our car to get serviced at Bay about three months ago. They had our vehicle for about 3 weeks. I called to check the status (though the mechanic had spoke to my husband and I just wasnt aware at the time) the mechanic was rude and demeaning statememts as if I was ignorant woman and a crazy wife that wants to be confrontational. The mechanic proceeded to say he will not speak to me and how he didnt know that Brandon (my husband) had a wife and would not release information to me and told me to go talk to my husband. Im not sure why that is revelant but it was very sexist tone as my husband had not had the same unpleasant interactions with him when he dropped the vehicle off and spoke with him on the phone. When I filed a complaint and asked to speak to manager I appreciated her taking a non-bias approach to my experience. We received an invoice that made no sense, couldnt tell what was actually wrong with the car and what was decipherable was replacing ONE spark plug and a oil change - which totaled 900 (400 in labor) So we were completely ripped off. To make it worse, a month later the car stopped working again with the exact same issue. We refused to take it back in fear that we be charged again to not the resolve the problem and to continue to make money off us. I think the most disappointing thing is that on Google is that Bay had pretty good reviews. Which why we were looking forward to have a new servicer for our car maintenance. We were not accommodated poor experience and will not take our vehicle to be serviced there again. The mechanic did offer to apologize to me and owned up to how rude he spoke to me but that was only because my husband wanted to address the poor customer service and lack of respect conveyed to me and went to the shop on his break. Very unfortunate.

Ive had more than one GREAT experience at Bay Old Dominion. The 1st being the time I locked my keys in my car while it was running! The guys here let me plug my phone in which was dying, stopped what they were doing, and tried to help unlock the doors. Unfortunately, we werent able to get the doors open. The manager then proceeded (without me even asking) to call a friend that has a tow business to come out and get the car door opened. The door was opened 10 minutes later. Most people these days dont want to be bothered with someone elses problems, but these guys went the extra mile. Like a lot of people I didnt realize my inspection sticker was due the LAST DAY OF THE MONTH (I promise I didnt know until that morning). They were booked the last day but asked me to come in by 8am on the 1st. I woke up late and got there and of course, they were already backed up. I was told they MIGHT be able to get me in by 5pm and if not, I could get my vehicle back by noon the next day. To my surprise my vehicle was inspected and ready by 2:30!! Even during the most stressful time of the month (for them) they were friendly, courteous, and most important- honest. They under-promised and OVER-delivered. Pretty rare these days.

I have a 2003 Jeep Wrangler that the door got messed up on do to a combination of wear-and-tear and a good deal of rust on the hinges (good ole Buffalo, NY winters). I got a few outrageous estimates prior to reading others reviews and taking it here to finally be given a decent estimate I was pleased with. I had some time constraints and issues with needing it done before the end of the week for a trip up north and was happy to learn it would be done by the next day and they would even store it for me until I could come get it in a couple days. Lo and behold I got a call the same day saying my Jeep was ready to go and almost $100 under estimate! I could not be more pleased with the service I received. The staff was friendly, John was great and genuinely cared about my time constraints and having the Jeep back in my possession as soon as he could! I dont see that often anymore, so that really made me feel good. All-in-all Ive been living in Hampton Roads for about four years now and wish I would have discovered these guys earlier, but with that said I will be taking my Jeep back here for any similar issues in the future. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking!

I am new to Norfolk Va and I was completely clueless as to where to take my car for the required state inspection. Sure I saw many auto shops that handled inspections but I wanted one that I could trust to receive honest service. In my search I went to two shops to inquire and instantly got a bad vibe. This is when I decided to read some reviews and found Bay Old Dominion. When I met E. T. I was instantly put at ease. He was professional, pleasant and knowledgeable. The process was quick (I was the first one there so my car was serviced first). I need to say my car did not pass inspection. E T brought me so I could see the problem with my own eyes and then shocked me when he said... We dont handle that repair here and referred me to another shop to get the problem handled. WHAT INTEGRITY!!! This was an awesome experience!!! the atmosphere was clean and even the air was nice it didnt smell like oil and auto fumes. I had a great time waiting and chatting with a young woman who was so inspiring. Best shop visit ever.

I started out on an easy task a simple oil change that went wrong for me. i couldnt remove the seized on oil filter after already draining all of my oil. luckily i called bay old dominion and spoke to a fantastic service representative E.T. and he told me exactly what i needed to do contact my insurance company and ask for roadside assistance to have the vehicle towed to them at no cost to me. once it made it to Bay Old Dominion it was only a couple hours later they removed my oil filter and finished the rest of my oil change for only 10 dollars. i did supply my own oil and filter since i was planning on doing this myself. the guys at Bay are true professionals that made light work of what was a difficult task for myself and i would highly recommend them to all my friends and family.

I had recently moved to the Norfolk, VA area and my vehicles tires were more suited for Hawaii weather, not Virginia as I experienced first hand. I needed new tires, rims, and a heater core. This was a rather frustrating situation as I was still settling into a new home and the staff at Bay Old Dominion worked with me on making sure my situation was taken care of and helped take a great weight off my shoulder. It felt like they knew the questions I was going to ask and they had rehearsed the answers with how fast they were answering. I can definitely say I plan on returning to Bay Old Dominion for future car related issues. Thanks guys, I really appreciate everything and the truck is working great!
