LOVE LOVE this salon!! I cannot possibly fit enough words on this page to express how professional, friendly and clean this salon is. The staff is extremely welcoming and the interior decor is super cute! The stylists make you feel right at home, offering you whatever you would like to drink and seat you in a comfortable chair. Sabrina has done highlights and lowlights on my hair and I could not be happier with the results. I have seen many clients come in and leave thrilled with their new "do." Particularly, what I love about this salon is that the stylists can make a 20 year old such as myself and woman who was in her mid 60s who sat next to me, look absolutely fabulous. I cannot express enough how much I recommend this place if you are looking for a high quality hair salon. Thank you, Thank you 1213 Hair Studio for giving me the hair of my dreams!!

Ive been to this salon twice now, and both times I have gotten fantastic haircuts. The price is extremely reasonable and includes a very relaxing shampoo that feels more like a head massage. I highly recommend Danielle since she did a great job with my hair both times I went, but everyone else in the salon seems very nice and professional as well. Even if Im not exactly sure what I want, they know what looks great, and I always leave feeling like I couldnt have gotten a better cut. Also, they have a student discount, so make sure to mention it if you go to VCU!

I have known Kelly and Teresa for about six years now. I worked with them both at another Richmond salon and have always loved their work. I was so excited to hear that Kelly was embarking on this new adventure opening 1213 Hair Salon. I absolutely love the chic decorations inside of the salon and I always feel like a million bucks when I leave. It doesnt matter if you are going to get a waxing, facial, cut, color, or updo...these ladies will make you feel 110% better than you did when you entered. Thanks for everything you do each day friends!!

WOW, thats right I said WOW. If I had to put into just one word how wonderful Kelly and her staff are, WOW would be one of my top choices. Kelly Hopkins is an amazing stylist. I had been struggling with self-esteem issues after an accident and my spouse made me an appointment with her. When I left, I felt like a beautiful woman again. She isnt just a hair professional, she is a miracle worker in my eyes. I could never thank her enough for giving me my courage, self-esteem, and positive attitude back again!

I was new to Richmond and was having the hardest time finding anyone to color and cut my hair. I went to about 6 salons and was sorely disappointed (and so was my wallet)!!!! I was about to give up when a friend recommended I go to 1213 Hair Studio. Danielle cut and colored my hair and she did an absolutely amazing job. I love my hair and have received none stop compliments. To top it off the salon has a great atmosphere, a friendly staff and wont break the bank! -Courtney

While I cannot speak with most of the stylists, Ryanne is a fantastic colourist. I followed her from her previous salon and even when I moved out of state. She knows how to do every hair type and listens to what you are asking for. Im a consistent platinum blonde and as many know, bleaching is quite damaging to hair but Ryanne has enabled me to achieve that look and keep my hair looking healthy! I very much recommend her.

I researched stylists in Richmond with the best reputation for highlights and Derek at 1213 kept rising to the top (with VERY good reason). Derek took time to actively listen about what I wanted to achieve and offered suggestions based on his expertise. The result was an incredible full highlight - that matched my natural gray - AND a great haircut. You cannot go wrong with Derek at 1213 Hair Studio!

Mary is the Best! I have naturally curly hair... she gave me the best cut and Highlights that I have ever had. No more spending 30 min a day styling my hair. I blow dry and go! She is Amazing. Love the atmosphere at the salon, very welcoming!
