I was having an electrical panel issue at 10pm at night. After doing my research, I came across Davis and Green. I called and left a message on their 24 hour line. I started looking for the next company who might offer service that night but the Supervisor at D&G called me right back to understand my issue and said he could send someone over. The Electrician that he was sending over called me back 1 minute later to confirm everything and to give me an ETA. I was impressed. The electrician advised me to shut the main breaker off to be safe. Dominique P was the electrician that showed up. He was on time, polite, knowledge and provided great customer service. I had a main breaker burn up along with some other issues in the panel. The panel needed replaced. Dominique got me situated for the night with lights and AC and advised he would be back the next morning to replace my panel. I had questions about costs and he gave me a rough estimate that night. He came back the next day put in the panel and he was right in-line with his estimate. When I called the office, everybody there was helpful and polite. I was very impressed with Dominique’s dedication to our job and his thoroughness. His helper was also polite and did a good job. I would definitely recommend this company.

I asked Davis &Green Electrical to come to my new home to fix some electrical problems. I was willing to pay for the 2 hour drive due to their reputation. An older man and a younger man arrived. The younger man could only do what he was told to do by the older one yet he was the fastest. The older man spent an enormous amount of time walking around, asking why I called their company, talking to the other contractors, talking about the bad workmanship in the home, and telling stories; occasionally he gave the younger one something to do. They were there ALL day, did not complete all the jobs I asked, said that they did not have the materials to do some of the jobs--for example, wire! The younger man kept pacing around, telling me that he wished the older man would give him something to do. I ended up paying over $1000 for a job not even half-done with information given to me on how I could do some of the jobs myself. I still need work done, but I would not call them back and would never recommend them to a friend or stranger.

Do not use for residential service! Doug & Jeremy were friendly and got the job done. Unfortunately they took more than 11 hours to finish what a competent apprentice electrician should have been able to do in under 3 hours solo. They talked and talked and struggled to formulate a strategy for even the most basic of tasks. They left plenty of dry wall repair to be done as well. Painfully inefficient use of time and extremely poor management of his assistant. Im surprised that a reputable company would hire such a blatantly incompetent worker. I couldnt tell if he was just stupid or really high. The only redeeming factor was that the owner called me the following day and cut the number of billed hours in half. The owner swore up and down that the worker usually did good work but if that is his standard for a quality employee then I seriously question the foundation of the entire business.

I wrote a review on BBB and now Im writing one here. This company is the best. I was panicking when hurricane Mathew was heading this way in few days and my generac generator wasnt working. So I called and they informed us they were really busy and that they would try to get us worked in, well they did a couple of days after we called and before Mathew hit, Eric M. showed up and had us up and running in no time. I was the happiest women (Queen in the house) in Chesterfield. We lost power in the middle of the night 2 days ago due to a wreck, well I should say everyone around us lost power Our generator fired right up and we were back in business. Thank You Davis & Green, I will always call you if we have any issues. Eric was very professional and I mean this guys knows his business. Thank You Eric. Fred & Leslie

I have three group homes located in the Richmond area that have portable generators. Due to the nature of the individuals we serve it is imperative that these generators work in case of a power outage. I had reached out to Davis & Green to ask them to service our generators with a promotional package I received in the mail. Their technician Eric was in constant contact with me via phone since our HQ is located in Chantilly and kept us apprised of the situation. He then proceeded to tell me that the package we picked was beyond what we needed and took the initiative to change it and save us money. It is rare to find a company who says they put the customer first and then actually do it. So, if you are looking for a company that is ethical then your search is over.

Called to replace a bad cable tv line identified by COMCAST. Turns out that the line identified was not the only line with a problem. They were able to find the problem and fix it in a reasonable amount of time. The fee charged was $300 LESS than an estimate I received from Michael & Sons. The two technicians, Ron and Jason, were helpful and professional. This was the first time I used D &G. The only issue, which is an irritating one, was that I was told they would arrive by 11am. When they didnt, I had to call and find out what happened. I was then told they would arrive by 1pm which they did. Because of the service provided, I plan to use D & G the next time I have a problem. I just hope they come at the scheduled time.

I suspected we only needed replacement of a breaker so I called 3 small companies & left voice mails. One called back but "had a big job" & couldnt provide service for 3 weeks. The other two NEVER returned my call. I then called Davis & Green & my call was answered by a real person, Donna. She was very friendly and accommodating in making an appointment. Then Domonique called, as scheduled, before leaving to come to our home. He arrived on time, was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He completed the work quickly & with a smile. GREAT customer service start to finish.

I was having a problem with my circuit breaker, and when I called, a man named Dominique P. came by. However, when he got here, the breaker seemed to be working fine. But he still took at look to make sure all was good just in case and told me to call him back if it ever started to act up again. He was very kind, polite, professional, and knowledgeable about his work and I appreciated it very much and will be calling him if the problem arises again or if we need any other electrical help.
