Mr Wizard does computer work at ones residence or place of business. However, he made no mention of how much he charged per hour. Stupid me. After "completing" his work, Mr "Wizard" informed me that his fees were $75 per hour. I paid him without argument for the "two hours and forty minutes" he claimed to have spent "fixing" my computer, which amounted to $260 in cash. Do the math yourself. He then offered nothing in the form of a receipt. He later claimed to have cited an hourly price for his services during the phone conversation during which we set up an appointment. He did no such thing. I know this for a fact because I *never* would have agreed to hire him at such a ridiculous fee schedule. Mr. Wizard either has a rotten memory or is an outright liar. Stupid me. One entire hour of the above time consisted of watching my computer screen during defragmentation. Nice "work" if you can find it. After he left my home, I discovered that he had in fact failed to repair my computer. It still would not work properly. Imagine my outrage. Stupid me. The story continues... I called him the following day to inform him of my still malfunction desktop. He agreed to definitely get to the bottom of the problem by repairing it remotely through a network link. At a rate of $75 per hour, of course. I of course assumed that no one would have the gall to charge someone for an incomplete job. Wrong again. I told Mr Wizard to take a flying leap. He sputtered and spewed the BS that it was my fault that the initial repairs had not been successful. Something about my IPod introducing a new virus into the system. What contemptable gall. His biggest concern at this point seemed to be related to the possibility that I might badmouth him to others concerning his ineptitude, fee schedule, capacity to lie and ridiculously inflated self-image. His fears were well founded. Again, stupid me.

Mr. Wizzard (Currie) has taken care of my computers for the last 10 years. He has guided me through crashes, upgrades, virus and malware clean-ups, and the purchase of two laptops. I have called him for advice and general information and have had friends call him. He has performed computer maintenance/repairs both at my home and his place of business. In all my dealings with him, I have found him to be professional (though with a quick wit and keen sense of humor), competent, and fair. I believe his prices to be average for the area. Computer repairs arent cheap, but, as with car repairs, you want good work done when you need it and done right the first time. I will continue to use him and will continue to recommend him to others who want quality work, a quick turnaround, and the security of having you own "computer guy" whos there when you need him.

A dog is a man’s best friend and Currie, a.k.a Mr. Wizzard, is a computer user’s best friend. He has maintained my computer for the past five years and done an outstanding job. I recently decided to purchase a new computer. His expertise and knowledge was invaluable in the selection process. Mr. Wizzard set up my new computer, transferred my information from the old machine to the new one, and arranged my pictures and music so that I could easily find them. He also told me how I could easily perform routine maintenance on my computer to keep it in tip-top shape. I recommend Currie to all of my friends and family. He provides a great service.
