I first learned about Noble during the summer 2016 Taste of Reston in July. At that point I signed up for their current two week promotional trial. The first day I went, the gym was full of energy with lively characters. The first day you come in the coaches talk to you and have you do a day 1 fitness challenge. The remark that owner, Nathan, said to us after the fitness test that still sticks with me was that no matter how sore you are always come in because its better to talk to us, tell us what hurts, stretch, and scale your work out appropriately. After hearing that I came in again and again and quickly met other Noble regulars that made me feel welcome! I love that several coachs (and even knowledgeable clients) help you through the class so you dont feel lost and alone. They make an effort to ensure you are doing the movements correctly and practice before the workout begins. The coaches are great about helping you find the right weight for you and movement modification so you should ever feel lesser than anyone else. The coaches are very knowledgeable about the body and muscles so can help those with mobility issues modify their workout, Ive witnessed this with several clients who are regulars. They are also great with encouragement and knowing when to push you to the next level which is important to continuing growth. The other impressive thing that I love about Noble is that people from literally all ages, strengths, and weights participate and cheer each other on. Its so encouraging to see others push themselves and struggle at their respective levels. I have made several friends and love coming in each day to see familiar faces and help newcomers feel welcome. Noble is also great about encouraging community by holding events such as community work outs, fun field trips (breweries), and holiday parties. Its great to make a new network of friends and Since making friends at Noble Ive been to several hangouts outside of the gym. Whats great about hanging out with Noble folks is that they all recognize your commitment to workout and schedule around that or even inclusive. The owners, husband-wife team - Nate and Laura, also own Noble Nutrition and sponsor a 30 day challenges periodically. Laura, a nutrition coach, measures and calculates your body fat before and after the challenge. She can also for a fee provide additional coaching to create custom menus. I took advantage of that and learned that in my effort to lose weight I was eating less than I should have and had a damaged metabolism. That was a shocker! Now with her help Im mindful of what I eat and accurately track my macros (carb, fat, protein grams). I also love their own blended Nobke Nutrition whey which comes in delicious flavors. Now its been five months and I come almost five days a week, week after week, not only for the kick ass work out but the community and encouraging family that Ive found among the coaches and clients. I have personally made great strides and from thinking I would never be able to lift significant weight to actually doing it! My husband fully approves of the muscle and toning Ive accomplished ;) In the last month I joined barbell club, which Nathan custom creates a workout program for you. In just a month adding that to my normal workout schedule Ive noticed huge improvements. I highly recommend it! My favorite class to come to is at 5PM which "Ma" ( Owner Lauras mother) usually teaches. Shes a spitfire and such a beast at her age. Shes inspiring and fun. Zeus, another coach, tends to teach 6PM. He can be intimidating at first but hes great at correcting your form and making you push to what he knows youre capable of - he gives you a tough time but you know youre learning and pushing. There are several other coaches who are all amazing and knowledgeable too, no matter what class you go to youre in good hands!!!

Almost a year has passed since I joined Noble Crossfit and I have to say they have helped me go above and beyond my personal limits, both mentally and physically, achieving goals I never imagined I would be capable of. I find myself reaching PR’s (personal records) each week and all with the help and attention from the coaches. With each visit, if there is a group of 5 or 20 plus people, if you’re a newbie or a professional at CrossFit, the knowledgeable and experienced coaches will create an individualized workout experience for each and every individual, working with you every step of the way, at your own pace, to target your weak areas and what you need to do to improve. Starting here I must admit I was terrible at squats, my form etc (all the coaches can agree with me on this). With the patience and continuous help from the coaches I’ve been told my squats, among other things, have greatly improved. Their friendly group atmosphere and support is unparalleled to any other gym I’ve attended (and I’ve attended quite a handful). It definitely boosts my confidence when you hear everyone cheering you on, if you’re the first or last to finish a WOD, your coaches and team members are all with you till the very end. And it’s not all just hard work, most events/challenges offer amazing prizes throughout the year and you have the opportunity to relax, catch your breath and talk with everyone, while food and beverages are provided by generous coaches and box members. Noble Crossfit does a lot to honor and recognize military members and their families. Recently we did The Murph Challenge on Memorial Day, an annual fundraiser for the LT. Michael P. Murphy Memorial Scholarship Foundation to honor LT. Michael P. Murphy (SEAL) whose selfless actions during a fierce gun battle in Afghanistan awarded him (posthumously) the Congressional Medal of Honor on October 27, 2007. You can find more information by going to this page; themurphchallenge website. So with this, you’re really not just signing up for challenging, life changing workouts, you’re contributing your hard work and efforts to amazing, selfless individuals and organizations. I have to say throughout my time here I feel I have not only gained muscles and a healthier lifestyle, I have gained an extended family, forming friendships with so many amazing people which I wouldn’t trade for anything. So don’t let the cost scare you, a Noble Crossfit membership is worth every penny. Try a free class like I did and I guarantee you will be hooked. - Julia W. Ive been a Noble Crossfit member for just over 3 years now. I used to go to the standard gym by myself and pretty much go through the motions. I had never done any group workouts before and until Noble, I never realized the value added. The coaches skill sets are unbelievable when it comes to workout direction and encouragement. The people you workout with also have that encouraging mentality and you become that same positive person. The Noble environment promotes this kind of feedback and it pays dividends for yourself and the people around you. The WODs are not easy and working out shouldnt be. But youll find yourself pushing your limits, which will inevitably make you stronger and faster, guaranteed. All you have to do is show up, try your best, and the coaches will help you with the rest. Ive heard people say Crossfit is a cult. If it is a cult, its one where you work hard, dig deep on effort, help encourage others, and become great friends with the folks you see day in and day out pushing themselves to become better athletes. Ill take that kind of cult any day. Im 51 and Im very proud of what I accomplish daily at Noble Crossfit. Come check it out. You will not be disappointed.
