I first had difficulty with them with installing my roof. They stated that they would have a general contractor out as well as installers who had experience the installers that came out did not speak English there was not a general contractor onsite and we had to call to let them know this. Once the job is done our house had material all around it including nails and old roof pieces in addition they had damaged our gutters. In addition we had to call them back out to let them know of the concerns we videotape them completing the job because of our concerns they did replace our gutters. Fast-forward two years now our home has a warranty on our roof after the blizzard that occur when we got 1 foot of snow we noticed that our house had a leak. When I contacted them to let them know and to have someone to come out to inspect it took almost 2 weeks to get someone to contact me the first person who contacted me, Doc, called the day that he wanted to come out on a Thursday,a workday, asking if he can come in the next hour. This obviously did not happen being that both myself and my husband work full-time. When I attempted to get someone to come out or to schedule someone it took another three days just to get in contact with someone to only find out that the individual, Doc, who does this was out on medical leave and then I would have to leave a message for another person. Once again I had to follow up three days later about having someone to call me to schedule an appointment in which the receptionist who was nice instructed me that the phones are having problems that I may be hung up on. I was hung up on three times however instead of calling me back I had to call back each time then I was informed that the person I had to speak with was on the phone and they would call me back right away and I had not heard back from anyone. Now I still do not have a schedule person to come out to my home I must once again reach out again about getting my roof repaired remind you that this roof was only installed jtwo years ago and has afull warranty and I have water damage on the ceiling in one of my bedrooms and no one to come out to check it. Im really disappointed in this company as well as their customer service and professionalism. And I find it interesting that I had a call from them before the roof leak occurred requesting for them to come out to do my siding. I will never use this company again there should not be all of these areas of concern and still have limited contact and getting my roof fixed from the damage I am still currently waiting to hear back from someone in this office about The repairs. I will make sure to update to see how long it takes this to actually get fixed and if I experience any more problems with them. Update 4/3/17 This is an update to my original post. I have changed my rating from 1 star to 3 stars because I am satisfied with how the owner John handled my compliant. My main concern still is with the lack of follow through and professionalism with all individuals that are employed there, specifically Doc. However, after letting John know my concerns and my next course of action. He was able to come to my house do a thorough inspection of the property and documenting what he believed was wrong. He also took pictures, gave them to us and cleaned our gutters. This has helped me change my thought about this company and how they care about clients. I must note that who they have work for them does make a difference for a lot of people and if they would use the service again. Doc does not help this company’s reputation, as he still does not return phone calls or emails. He blows people off with their request and when you do get a hold of him he still does not follow through. But besides my complaint with Doc. John has helped change my view of the company because of what he has done so much that we know we require need new siding and my fiancé has suggested that we give Custom Home Improvements another chance and let them complete our siding to help change my views completely.

I heard about this company from a friend named Chuck, who works there. I had heard a lot of good things about Custom Home Improvements, from Chuck, so I decided to give them a shot, as my roof needed to get taken care of. The receptionist was very professional and the great thing was that they were able to send someone out at 6pm, the next day, which was great to not have to worry about taking off of work (or staying up for those working 3rd shift) just to have the roof looked at. When Bill came to my house, he was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He spent about an hour here, measuring, answering any questions I had, and most importantly, actually sitting down with me, and showing examples and explaining exactly what he recommended be done and explaining everything that would be done, step by step. I felt confident in Bills trustworthiness and that they were going to 100% stand behind whatever work was done. When the day to work on the roof came, the crew showed up promptly at 7am and got right down to work. They were very respectful of my house and yard, laying tarps to cover practically the entire parameter of the house, to catch all the debris. They worked very quickly and were completely finished and cleaned up by the middle of the afternoon. The finished product looks fantastic, and Ive already had neighbors complementing the roof and asking who had done it. I would highly recommend Custom Home Improvements for any work you need done!

I had 9 expensive windows installed into the entire front of my house more than a year ago. They look good and the salesman was excellent. However, two of the windows (in one room) have had a wind whistling leak ever since being installed. I have spoken with a company rep (not the salesman) so many times about this it is crazy. Their sole solution has been to use caulk to stop the wind noise. I have told them numerous times that the noise is coming from the center where the windows meet and not the outer rim where they apply caulk but to no avail. Whenever I call now, no one answers the phone and I am met with recordings of "this mailbox is full" regardless of which number I press in their phone tree. Getting a live person is next to impossible. I can only text the man who has previously come to apply caulk but his only response continues to be, "I have to talk with the owner". I feel my only option now after all my effort to get this whistling noise fixed is to write a below average review. If you use this company be aware that even though they promise service after the sale, it will be like pulling teeth and then still it may not get done. In my experience this company has a very poor method of response to fix the mistakes that may occur on a jobsite. Mistakes are understood-they happen. But correcting them doesnt seem to be part of Custom Home Improvements concern.
