I never write reviews, but Im so displeased with the company, I have no choice but to help people from making the same mistake. During my walk through consultation I was told exactly what was going to be done in a regular cleaning, such as a dusting, vacuuming, windows were washed, in between blinds would be taken care of, bathrooms were thoroughly cleaned as well as the kitchen, and that there are services that arent included in their basic plan that would be charged by the hour, like French door windows, ceiling fixtures, fans, lights, vents, exposed wood work, including the outside of cabinets, the inside and outside of oven/fridge and various other things. Personally I think those things should just be included in a regular cleaning, but I had no problem with paying hourly either. I asked for all the extra services I listed. My problem is that none of these things were done properly, everything was just wiped over. I could do much better myself, in less time. At first I thought, okay maybe this just isnt a good match and I need to explain myself and what services rendered werent thorough enough. I called and the woman that answered did not want to rectify the situation at all, I explained that the person who did my consult told me it was more in depth then what the cleaners did, especially since I paid extra for extra services, they didnt even clean the windows at all, the blinds are still dusty and my cabinets are still sticky and she basically barked at me because I didnt read the piece of paper they gave me after the consult, (because all the services are on there.) I told her that, Im sorry I thought I could trust what your employee had stated. Both me and my roommate were present when she did the walk through and we both expected it to be way more "clean" when they left. Im now waiting to hear back from the person who did my walk through before Im charged. This is not a reflection of their maids, the maids were nice and friendly, they are probably just cleaning the way they are trained. It was a very basic clean. I just dont appreciate the deception and the costumer service from the lady I spoke with on the phone. A good company should be more inclined to try to come up with a solution to please both parties, but I felt like she was trying to blame me for being fooled by their company. It was totally unprofessional.

Upon moving to the area I immediately began my search for a regular cleaning service. After reading the favorable reviews for Custom Maid, I hired them for a one-time initial cleaning with the intent of continuing regular bi-weekly cleanings. Based on house description, the sales rep quoted 2.5 - 3 hours. Working with a budget, I applied a 2 hour limit and followed the sales reps suggestion by making a priority list due to the time restriction. I paid $140 for 2 ladies to clean baseboards, windows, dust and vacuum a 2000 sq.ft home. Nothing else was touched. How these ladies could have completed the house cleaning in 3 hours as quoted, I will never know. The company advertises on the website that among a long list of other things, bathrooms and kitchens are cleaned every visit. This is FALSE advertising! Not a single inch of my kitchen was cleaned nor any of my 2.5 bathrooms. I contacted the office the same day and the sales rep apologized for my "bad experience" and explained "the girls get thrown off when they are given a priority list" and suggested that I should have prioritized rooms, not tasks. If specifying tasks instead of rooms causes the staff to be less efficient, this needs to be communicated to the customer before the service is started and money is collected. This at least gives the consumer a chance to maximize the value of their hard-earned dollar. We requested a partial refund or a second visit to complete the cleaning, but both were denied by office manager. If I had absolutely no standards of a clean house and was looking to blow money on something, I might call Custom Maid again...no, I wouldnt.

I am highly disappointed with the experience I had with Custom Maid. When I scheduled the appointment, they were very helpful. I had a to give a list of what I wanted to be done, and a credit card number to hold my appointment. I very specifically asked if it had to be a credit card that would physically be present, because this was supposed to be a present from my parents to my family, being that I have a newborn son. I was told that at the end of the cleaning, I would be given a bill and then charged with a card that was present. I was also told that the card I gave to hold the spot did not have to be the one held. For the cleaning, what I requested was not done. I was looking for in depth -- window ledges, floor boards, and it was a superficial cleaning. Underneath the furniture was so dusty when I came home that I could see the line on the floor. My husband was told we would be sent a bill, because the people did not know what the cost was. Instead of being sent a bill, the card I used to hold was charged. No courtesy call, nothing in the mail. When I called to express my frustration and find out why I was charged with no notice or bill, I was pretty much called a liar. The people who cleaned the house didnt do bad -- they did well with the bathrooms and the kitchen. But what I requested wasnt done, and the customer service I experienced today was pretty abysmal.

As former employee, I take great pleasure in recommending Custom Maid. I received two weeks of the best hands-on, supervised training and came to appreciate the high standards that put Custom Maid above the rest. As employees, we took pride in our work and aimed to please each individual customer as well as our employer. I brought this training into my own home and found I was better equipped to clean my home in half the time.Now, Custom Maid works for me! My work schedule and family required more of my time and I needed help. I turned to the company that I knew would treat my home with respect and clean my house in the matter to which I was accustomed. Not only am I relieved knowing my house is being cleaned thoroughly, but I know that Custom Maid is dependable and stands behind its work. And theyre only a phone call away!I am grateful to Custom Maid for assisting me in the care of my home.

They were ok. We used them for approx. 8 months. In that time they forgot to vaccum my downstairs once and forgot to mop the kitchen floor twice. I had a different set of ladies every single week. Sometimes they did not even know each others names when they got to my house. This happened 3 times! I think that is odd considering they work together AND they ride in a car to the house together. We discontinued service. The cleaning was pretty good most of the time, but they neglected things sometimes (like dusting ceiling fans or wiping the cabinets) unless I left a note. I found that frustrating when I am paying.
