I was verbally attacked by an employee of this company today. While my son was in his martial art class in the same Shopping Center I was waiting for his class to end. I started to notice that my truck was overheating so pulled around behind the building to check it out. My six month old Australian Cattle Dog , who is registered and services the community, was with me and as I got out of my truck. I took him out on a leash in the parking area lot. First of all I want to say that this dog works...he has a full time job and the servoces that he will provide to others in need is something that is commendable. The reason I bring this up is because this man was screaming at me to get my dog off of his property and not to let him use the bathroom on the grass in front of the storage units. The bottom line is this ...we were not on the storage unit property and why this man approached me in such an aggressive manner its absolutely ridiculous. Instead of asking me if I needed help or if there was anyone he could call because he could obviously see a problem with my vehicle, he chose to handle himself in a very disturbing manner. Once I looked up the specifics of this storage unit I noticed the other comments that were quite similar to mine and my experience today. Seems like a pattern. I dont know who this man is and I dont know his name but if he is reading this, I do welcome him to call me. If the owner is reading this and would like to discuss it further I would encourage him or her to do the same because there is absolutely no excuse for this type of behavior, and my heart goes out to those who experienced the same thing. He should be ashamed of himself, aggressively coming after women, pets, and their children.

An employee of this business threatened to ram my wifes vehicle with a golf cart today. The person was screaming threats and obscenities because she was parked in their lot for a couple minutes. She was complying with their request to "GET OFF MY F***ING PROPERTY YOU B**CH!" when he took a run at her in his golf cart. She left with our 3 kids scared and in tears. Take your business elsewhere, these people are unstable and dangerous. UPDATE: My wife left a review as well, but has been blocked by the page and cant update it. But apparently someone pretty high up in the company called my wife to apologize and let her know that the situation was being looked into and dealt with. They were very concerned and very kind at first. But then seemed to be more concerned with our negative reviews coming down. Yeah... I dont think so. Apparently the employees gave them some sob story and tried to downplay the situation. But I have pretty good reason to believe that they havent learned any lesson at all and are just the type of insecure individual who gets off on intimidating people. Unless this unstable and dangerous employee is fired or compelled to personally beg for forgiveness from my wife and kids, this review can stay right where it is. I dont take kindly to my family being threatened and endangered by jerks on a powertrip. And I think warning potential customers makes this a pretty valid review. Maybe its a great storage facility, but any place staffed by people like this is not the kind of place you want to do business.

I rented three units at American Classic to store household items as we transitioned from one house to another in Williamsburg. Chris and Bill were great to work with. Always quick to help with anything I needed, answer questions, kept me advised of payment dates, etc. The storage facility grounds are kept neat and clean and the units I rented were clean and tidy when I moved in. I had no problems with pests of any kind during the the 6 months I used the facilities. Security was also excellent. Never saw anyone inside the facility that looked like they didnt belong there. I visited dozens of times over my rental period and most always ran into Bill as he patrolled the area insuring that nothing was awry. I couldnt have expected more from a storage facility. Ill use American Classic again if the need arises and wouldnt hesitate to recommend the facility to anyone.

This company is not only a professional and superbly-run business, but the proprietors are warm and friendly people. They were accommodating and suited our needs perfectly. They recommended the exact size of storage, instead of trying to up-sell a larger container. They showed us a variety of units and each one was immaculately clean and fresh. The grounds are well-kept and the office is orderly and well-decorated. Bill and Chris give you the feel of a family-owned business. It inspires confidence in the security of the place. The paperwork was clear and simple to do. The price was less than what we expected to pay. Overall, American Classic Self Storage is the kind of business you want to patronize.

Parked in this empty parking lot for less than two minutes to mess with my phone (instead of doing it while driving), and the fella that works there came out in a golf cart and was profane, calling me names, etc telling me to get off his property. There are absolutely no signs, and I figured that as a parking lot, I could park there for just a few minutes. I was in the process of leaving his parking lot and he tried to ram my car with his golf cart and repeatedly threatened to call the police. Take your business elsewhere, folks. This place is obviously staffed by hateful, rude folks that need a hug and a Valium BAD.

The couple who owns this storage unit are simply wonderful. They helped me through my very first storage unit. They were kind, fair, and manage a great business. Their facilities are clean and you can tell they take great pride in their company. They treat William and Mary students with great consideration--even call to remind about move out to avoid extra charges. They prorated my use of the storage unit for my early move out within the month and did not force me to sign a 6 month contract, unlike other storage units in the area. The entire experience was so wonderful and pleasant.

As a college student near American Classic Self-Storage, I have been so pleased to work with the company through Miss Cindy and Mr. John on an environmental project surrounding my campus. Through the long and strenuous process of organizing the project, both Cindy and John have shown their willingness to care for their community and determination to take care of those who are loyal to them. Not only are these facilities well-maintained, well-organized, and convenient, the people who manage them are helpful and trustworthy. Absolutely recommend!

Our Cub Scout Pack has had a storage unit at American Classic Self Storage for the several years. They have wonderful service and great rates. The units are very clean and very well maintained. The site manager was very helpful this year when we added a climate controlled unit to store our Pack fundraiser material. She was able to identify a unit and it was ready to move in when stated. Also, we had a change in leadership this year and the site manager was very helpful in changing over access to the new group.
