I was appointed executrix for my uncles estate. Since I live in Renton, getting to Bremerton in a timely manner wasnt always easy. On my visits, I was met with John Van de Water, who was incredibly gracious and helpful. In addition to being very informative and kind. Also, his associate Matthew Hogg was marvelous. They did not try to up-sell me anything, in fact, they suggested practical alternatives. In addition, since my uncle was a veteran, they wonderfully arranged a beautiful veterans memorial, and applied for all the benefits on his behalf. There was a US flag draped over his coffin and the flag was gently given to me after the inspiring flag folding ritual. The bugle playing taps live during the ceremony was a highlight. All arranged by John and Matt. Im so grateful for their caring manner and kindness throughout this difficult time. They even checked on me a week or two later, offering advice on coping, while dealing with the many obstacles we all face during this traumatic time. I would recommend Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park anytime to anyone needing this service.

I am deeply disappointed in the service here. I called ahead of time and talk to someone and they gave me a lower quote than the actual amount. Upon arriving at the funeral home we were met with a gentleman who very rude. He went on to say that the price we were quoted would in no way cover their cost. When I originally called i was very specific about what I want and I feel they werent honest, in addition, they were extremely rude and not very kind. For a place that deals with grieving families some compassion would have been nice.

I have never dealt with anyone as unprofessional in my life. All they are concerned with is how much money they can make. Very rude and disrespectful. I WOULDNT use their services for my dog.

My son Steven was the first of my family buried there. They were kind to all of us. That was in 1963. Since then, my husband, nephew and my parents.
