I came in on a Thursday afternoon a couple months back and the front desk girl was extremely nice and friendly! Kathy was the sales person who showed me around and signed me up. Didnt get the car salesman, shady vibe like I got from John. She didnt pressure me into anything and felt she was such a genuine, good hearted soul. I came back a day later because I had a couple other questions, but Kathy wasnt working. I had bought a family account. John said I could freeze it at anytime and take the guest privileges off whenever. He didnt care, I was already signed up and he wouldnt get any benefit or commission from talking to me so he just told me what I wanted to hear. Come to find out after talking to Jason, who I believe is the operations manager that I could not do that. He was extremely helpful and genuinely could tell he cared about my situation and wanted to help fix it and to make it right. He ended up refunding me for 2 months during the time I was on vacation because I could not freeze my membership, and he talked to people at corporate and was able to take my guest privileges off my account and save me $20 a month! He didnt need to do any of that for me, I was more than pleased and extremely happy with what he did for me, now that is customer service! Unlike what I have experienced at other gyms and locations. I have been working out there for a few months now and have nothing really negative to say besides some of the younger kids who come in and play basketball and just dont seem to care about trashing the place they workout at. It is an extremely clean gym, the janitorial staff is always around cleaning the equipment and the one lady who works at night is so nice, I dont know her name but have talked to her a couple of times thanking her for what she does. Have also got a few tips from a couple of the trainers who are always around, each have been extremely helpful. I have gone to other locations while traveling around the state for work, but nowhere compares to Burien, the nice staff up at the front desk area and the overall cleanliness. It doesnt take long for a business like this to go down hill quickly and turn into something like the Tukwila location, but I definitely dont see that happening with the management that is currently there.

Up Like the gym and my sales person Kathy; however, hate and I repeat Hate the the sales manager John, your prototype aggressive approach i cant give you a straight answer car salesman.. Walk in to get a quote and a tour but had to wait a very long time and was ignored by the front desk girl whos so determined and focus on checking ppl in when theres ppl waiting to obviously join the club.. Very poor management who made the place looked like Burien Toyota.. I felt like as if I was at a car dealership pressuring to buy a cheap car.. I think that all new potential clients whether through land lines or walk-ins has to be greeted or should I say approach by John the captain car salesman manager before hands, then he assigned a salesman over to close the deal.. So predictable.. But, my salesman person Kathy was very politely approaching and appreciative of my time and very knowledgeable and down to earth.. From the experienced there that day I would of better off signing through their website, but felt bad for Kathy so I went back to sign with her.. So save yourself the time and hassle by joining online unless you preferred to be pushed by John the scumbag car salesman. Theres really no deal being there in person as its pretty much the same as online but they sure try to make themselves sound like they got the best deal you cant refused as John puts it.. But if youre gonna go in to take a tour and join ask for Kathy for a better experience!

I came to talk to the guy , Corey gerneral manager about guest pass , hes not a nice guy , pushed me to buy instead and did not give me guest pass and told me that I had to sign online to get 3 days and waited for them to choose any day available to let me in ..."lie" (instead 5 days )or 2 weeks from the saler.... he asked why I wanted to use the gym with guest pass and not join ?! Blah...blah...blah....and tell me how much money they invested in there ... I asked if someone I know he or she is member here , how many days could they bring me in ?! He said $15 a day , "lie" again .... its terrible customers service , special hes managed the gym , I could not get good straight answer from him at all and have to sit to hear all what he lied to me about ... I feft bad for awhile . The reason I finally join after 5 days guestpass expires because I love the community ,alot of people I have been known to come here and Its convenient I can stop by on the way home , and I know coporation Co they move managers around to different place all the time , And I dont want to give it up because Only one guy that not nice in the gym .

Last night was my first time going to this location. We met with the John who proceeded to sexually harass my friend and I throughout our whole interaction with him. He was your typically pushy salesmen trying to get me to sign up for an membership even going as far as pulling out my chair but not my friends (she already has a membership) He was persistent in asking about my finances and very pushy as to why I was uninterested in signing up at that moment. I realize it is his position and job to sign people but as two women we felt very uncomfortable by his sexual references and his pushy demeanor. I really want to find a gym that is close to my home and that I can feel comfortable attending on a regular basis. Unfortunately my experience was not a good one. The facility is very well .taken care of but it is very warm inside, it would be nice if they had some larger fans or AC running while we worked out; and John. The creep at the front. I will continue to attend under my free pass however I am reluctant to give a man like John my business as a woman.

Id have to start with the positives. This place is in a great location for my family and I, really nice staff however they bugged me with phone calls to try and sign up when I wasnt sure about membership at the time. I did eventually sign up under my spouse with a good deal they they had. However they talk highly of their pool and I am a lap swimmer and I must say I was completely disgusted by it. It looks nice from far away but when I went for a swim it was gross. First they dont have a towel service? What gym doesnt have a towel service? Especially a large chain like LA fitness. Even the YMCA (non profit) has their own towel service. I had to leave the gym to purchase a towel and return before I could swim. The locker room seemed nice and clean but the pool water smelled sour and there was floating hair I kept swimming into. The floor of the pool seemed dirty. The pool is in need or routine cleaning. However I am sticking with my membership because of location price and it apparently works well with my spouse.
