its a beautiful facility, and today was my first visit. I was excited to have found a place that had a pool, however with only 3 lap lanes i waited for about 25 minutes for a lane to free up before asking another gal if i could swim with her. before i knew it, there were 4 ladies total including myself that were now sharing this single lane while the other two lanes were occupied by only one male each. A lady in the lane with me seemed upset and asked if she could join the lane next to us, and he was kind to let her. One of the ladies i was sharing the lane with that joined it after I was interested in walking slowly through the lane and back. She was really upset with me when i passed her, becuase afterall; these are lap lanes and i came to workout. Half the pool is dedicated to family swim. water aerobics and the like. I wish there were more lanes for lap swimming, because i wasnt expecting this and it left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. The childcare facilities are amazing, and all three of my kids 7m-4y enjoyed playing there.

Super cool place, lots of fun!!!! 5 Stars for 7 FREE visits, awesome place! Extremely expensive, over $100/month to swim one hour a month after your free 7 visits, ouch!!! If you work out everyday or need daycare for up to 2 hours a day while working out and come every single day or want to take classes like yoga or other inclusive classes its great, they have a bunch of cool classes included in membership but if you only want to come for an hour a week at $25/visit or once a month membership just to swim with your child its over $100/month, thats over $100/hour OUCH!!!! 5 Stars for customer service and coolest facility around, 1 Star for not having a reasonable price range for different services offered. Also the small pool tube slide has never been open when we come and they always tell my son it will be open next time, but has been closed for at least 2 years ???

I do like the YMCA because my daughter seems to enjoy the adventure zone. And I do like the treadmill. But, Ive seen better. Ten years ago in a smaller facility in Modesto California had better equipment, and the staff was much more friendly and available. The swim area has its issues as well. Too many kids in the kiddy pool area doing cannonballs so close to the edge were my 4 year old is trying to hang on for dear life. The work out machines are supposed to be wiped down after each use by the person that used it last, however, you are lucky if you can find paper towels to use to do what we are suppose to do. I dont want to stop going, I just wish some things were improved.

Do not come for the pool. Worst pool in the area. Its small and shallow and the lifeguards are rude. They have ridiculous rules that make it completely unreasonable and not fun for kids or parents. Even though its only 5 ft at the deepest you must be in arms length of your child at all times. What if you have.more than 1? There is also a water slide which is never ever open and is a perpetual dissapointment to kids. As a 7 year member I have complained about how we have been treated 3 times. Work out room is ok. But almost all activities cost extra and all public pools in the area are better for families.

This "Y", while great for kids, parents might have a lot more in clothing bills! My son lost his jacket, well let me explain. While partaking in the "late night", function there he picked up a jacket exactly like his just smaller. I contacted them just to find under some "C.Y.A." policy they could not call the homes listed on a sign-in because they didnt want to give off the wrong impression to other patrons is what I was told. Easy, cheap fix not even tried this place is dangerous to your wallet as a parent.

Dale Turner YMCA has no respect for their members and provide no security for their members. My sons locker got broken into and his belongings were stolen. All they did was ask us to write down the incident on a piece of paper and then file. Ms. Risa, one of their mangers returned my call and basically pushed the dust under the rug. I am very dissappointed with their attitude and a total disconnect with their members welfare. We totally feel violated and will revisit our membership with YMCA.

I participate in the LiveStrong class - a re-conditioning program the Y sponsors for people recovering from cancer and Im very grateful to be a part of it. We are getting great teaching and supervision from Toshiko Aramaki and are learning how to develop our core strength as well as use the machines properly and safely. I love the pool; the womens locker rooms are clean and well-maintained. I love it!

For future memebers that want to join ask to get your memebership fee waived. Because my roomate did. He told me he got his membership fee waived today. I paid my membership fee to start here just like everyone else and he doesnt even get to pay it. Well for all you wanting to join ask for the membership fee to be waived because they seem to be giving it out for free.

Worst ymca Ive been at. First was good, then go worse over time. Im a long term supporter of the y, but no more. Rude staff!! My wife and kids will not be going there anymore. They treat kids like animals at the child center and other activities. Poorly trained teenagers unable to handle kids. DONT TAKE YOUR KIDS THERE! Gymnastics teacher Maria was just horrible.

The gym is great for exercises,my daughter likes going to swim there. She has becom a great swimmer because she took swimming lessons their. Some times when we both swim and I want to got to the gym my daughter can go to the tween room or the adventure zone. But if you bring a baby while your exercising you can leave him/her at this room for babys.

Avoid the Kids center. Parent Night out ending being Parent Night Ruined by this facility. All other YMCA child care seems to decent to good but this YMCA in Shoreline seemed to be the worst. If you read Yelp reviews all of the negative reviews are attributed to the kid center side of things. There are too many red flags here.

Dale Turner YMCA is awesome. Lots of classes at a variety of fitness levels, well maintained equipment, and 2 hours of drop in child care daily for members.
