I am writing this review in response to WeakSauce22 review found below. Excuse me but are writing this because you are a competitor trying to drive business to your establishment? Lets take it from the top. As a lifelong fitness professional who has taught college level classes in resistance training and fitness as well as planned major university fitness centers (I have no attachment to this establishment other than I am a member who LIKES it), the equipment is in no way lacking for the fitness enthusiast to the serious lifter (maybe not the guy who just reads muscle mags but the guy who knows what to do in a weight room). All major muscle groups can be exercised with both free weights and machines and can be done both as open and closed exercises. Sure it doesnt have some of the specialized--but I would argue--unnecessary, fringe bars and equipment you find in the muscle head gyms but this is a gym for all! Next, I have always found the staff excellent, friendly and helpful. As to your comment about the "obese counter folks" you must have this gym confused with another. There are no obese nor overweight individuals working the front counter or leading group exercise at NPAC. And even if there were, what does it matter? The job of the front counter staff does not have the requirement or need to be a hard body. Go to 24 hour or LA fitness where they hire their counter staff to look pretty and push their memberships and the supplement crap they make so much of their profit off. And after they have done the cleaning and laundry, it is there job (I would guess) to monitor the front desk. Big deal if they are staring out the window or on their phones--that is what young people do! They are not trained fitness professionals -- if they were, that would be a waste to put them in that position. And as to music selection, excuse me but that is what personal headphones are for. If you havent looked around, the membership is diverse in age and fitness level--not just a bunch of muscle heads who think the loud and the driving crap will make them do an extra rep. Again, may I suggest you STFU and go to Golds Gym and stare at your muscles in the mirror there. As for the hours, the manager I am sure is taking into account usage versus staffing costs. She is a business person who cannot afford to cater to individual demands. Decisions probably were based on check in numbers. For my sake (not for the management as I am sure every member counts) I hope part of your New Years prediction comes true-- and YOU find a new home, Weak Sauce22! The NPAC will be better off without a whiner like you.

I recently joined NPAC and love it. Steve is an awesome trainer who really cares about his clients. The girls at the front desk are very welcoming and kind. This is a place you can go and feel comfortable. I dont get the bad vibe here like I did at the Kent and Redondo LA Fitness locations. I can get in and get my workout done without having to wait for machines. All in all, this is a great place.

I have worked out at this club several times and really enjoy the facility. I found the staff very friendly and have had some wonderful conversations with the owner. I wish I lived closer to be able to use this gym full time. It is very clean and tidy and the monthly rate is very reasonable. It is hard to find a place like it any more. I would highly recommend it any of my friends or family.

I got a guest membership for a month in December (I was in town visiting family) and loved it. The classes I attended were great, there seemed to be a lot of offerings, the machines were new (and plentiful), and the locker rooms were very spa-ish. Ill definitely be back whenever Im in town. I never noticed any customer service problems like some other reviews describe.

I love this place its quite clean and decent when it comes to the amount of machines they have. The owner is Lynn and she very straight forward when signing up. The best thing its not greasy like I said its very clean. I would highly recommend.

I always enjoy going to this gym. They have the best fitness classes in the area. The gym is clean. The staff are kind and the childcare has always been great for my 4 and 2 year old. The pricing at this gym is also very reasonable!

I have been a member here for years. The staff is helpful, the facilities are always clean and the environment is neighborhood friendly. I have belonged to many different gyms and Normandy Park Athletic Club is by far the best.

I have been to a lot of gyms in my time and this one is upscale with an inexpensive price tag. Great place to work out as a family or by yourself. They have it all and they do it very well. Try it out you cant go wrong!!

the gym is ok. it has enough equipment that any lifter or cardiobunny will be able to satisfy their routines. Sadly the hours have been cut way back which is an inconvenience for me

Their place is clean. However the membership is not that good. They gave me additional charges and even overdrafted my account. So I cancelled and found a new gym.

owner lynne is impolite, discourteous, and disrespectful to her employees and customers.

It is a standard "globo-gym". Almost no free weights.
