HORRIBLE customer service. I received a pink note in my mailbox saying that they were unable to deliver a package, but ti was marked at 10 AM which I was home and no one knocked on the door, so I assumed it was because of our dog outside, hes a big dog, some people are scared of him. So I called, spoke to a woman, I explained that I think I got this note because of the dog, she cut me off and said WELL, ahem, we dont deliver to places with dogs" And I said,... ahh ok, I have had dogs my whole life, no one has ever not delivered mail because of a dog, and the neighbor who has a dog gets there mail. She said" Well, I dont know then, whats your address" I gave her the address, she then said" well then maybe you are too far from your mailbox, I dont know what tot tell you" I said, um excuse me? She says" we wont deliver if you are more than a qtr mile away from the mailbox" I said, that make no sense for one, and 2, we are .29 miles from our box, you can literally drive around the corner from the mailbox and see our house. She said" ugh, I dont know what to tell you, do you want to talk to the postmaster then and she will just tell you she wont deliver there?!" I said, whoa, yano what this is f*%king stupid and I hung up. Yes, I said the eff word but not at anyone, I was horrified by her attitude. So I then wrote a very nice letter to the delivery person explaining I had a large dog but that he was friendly.and they are more than welcome to come to the house, and he is a love bug and I introduced ourselves, etc. I went to get my mail today and she has wrote a nasty note on that letter I left in there for her, telling me that since I had said the F word to the clerk on the phone, that she was sure the postmaster would not deliver my mail for sure anymore. HOW RUDE, I HAVE NEVER DEALT WITH SUCH A RUDE POST OFFICE BEFORE. Horrible attitudes, and apparently extremely lazy drivers that arent willing to drive 2 blocks up the road to deliver mail. No wonder they have such other horrible reviews on here.

We have a few neighborhood mail boxes, when I moved in, i went to the Kalama post office to get a key for my addresss box. I paid the 40-something fee and ordered a key. Fast forward a couple weeks, they call me to come get my key. I get the key in an envelope with the mail unit and box number. The key opened the box, no problem. Fast forward another week or so, no mail ever comes to the box. I go to the office to see whats going on and they tell me they have a bunch of mail for my address that cant be delivered as my box is full. long story short..... they gave me the wrong unit number and the key given opened the boxes in BOTH UNITS! When I explained that the key opens both boxes, they did not care and were extremely rude. Avoid the Kalama PO if you can. I opened a box in Woodland and havent had any problems.

They have been delivering my mail to the wrong house since I moved here. They give me other peoples mail all the time. Now, they are rejecting all parcel deliveries to my house because they say they cant access my house because they are too damn lazy to come up the driveway and leave the parcel on the porch. They dont leave a delivery notice so I have to follow up with merchants to find out what happened to my stuff. I am so furious with this post office, I could scream. I get Christmas cards sent in November delivered to me in the end of January. I dont receive bills or letters from my mortgage company. This is the most ridiculous post office I have ever experienced.

We have had multiple issues with this post office. Destroyed mail, missing mail, late mail but most recently the mail man has stopped bringing packages to my door. I have seen them pull up 3 times in the last two weeks to the mailbox and drop off a notice without even attempting to bring packages to the house. Things happen but when you receive extremely rude customer service from not only the staff at the front but also Sarah the post mater Ive had enough.

I have been in customer service my whole life and so I can sympathize with people who are as well. But there is no way in hell the people at the Kalama post office should be allowed to deal with any human. Rude as can be. Ive lived in Kalama for 6 years and I cannot believe they still have jobs. If they dont like their job they should go somewhere else. Quit taking it out on the residents in Kalama. "We Deserve Better".

My experience since my husband and I moved to the Country in Kalama, is that there is no consistency with our mail delivery. We are never sure if all our mail is getting here or delivered to someone else. I have had to call the post office regarding the delivery of small parcels that require a signature & have been met with NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Not what we would expect from the US POSTAL SERVICE.

Worst customer service Ive ever had at a post office!!!!!! Packaged said delivered to a parcel locker when it wasnt! Then all I get is attitude! Filling a complaint to the post master and maybe she will get some anger management!!!!!!

Wow! Some of these reviews have nothing to do with the post office they have to do with a big dog??? I just bought some stamps here and put a letter in the mail everything went great. The lady there was very nice.
