We recenty brought our Toyota Camry for a transmission replacement and install to Ace Auto Repair, Inc in Kent and received service without a sense of professional integrity. They initially had our transmission sent to another shop in the area which they contracted with. Sam, one of the mechanics at Ace, reassured us that they would overlook the work and install the transmission once it was fixed and received. We got our car back and within a few days noticed a peculiar noise and a peculiar burning smell coming from our car. We took it back to Sam to look at it immediately. "Ill send the transmission back for repair again," he stated. Since this was the only vehicle we had to drive, we asked Sam if a rental could be arranged again, which was done when our car was brought in the first time. Sam asked why they Ace should pay for the rental, it wasnt their fault the transmission wasnt done right. With a raised eyebrow, I asked if he thought we were at fault. Ace Auto Repair may have not rebuilt the transmission themselves, furthermore they installed it, not to mention it was a business cohort of theirs. Do they do not guarantee the service of the car when it is given back to the customer? A business transaction was made directly between Ace Auto Repair and myself. Not between me and mystery "transmission repair man." Whomever played the middle-man, the responsibility goes to the merchant that dealt with the customer. CUSTOMER BEWARE!! Avoid at all costs. Ace Auto Repair needs to rethink their business strategy and take a lesson on business ethics. Sam needs to find some common sense, or seek a job that requires him to keep his mouth shut.

Sam is a scammer. I had my car for almost a year and did all the work myself. I blew my second heads gasket on my 98 Ford Mustang because I got lazy and didnt put water in it. The car sat for over seven months with no isses durning that time. Brought her into acer because of his prices; was low on money, and all-in-all he did phenomenal work on the car as she still runs like a beast. The issue I had though, was that very night I noticed my dipstick for the tranny was moved over because when I went to go check it, it bumped up against a pipe like it never had before. That night she started leaking tranny fluid. Brought the car back the next day; which was a Saturday, and didnt get her back til the following Monday. The dipstick seal was disrupted which caused the leak. Of course he charged me. Drove it for a while, parked it, and slept. Next day its leaking coolant and water now. Found the hose did it myself and never looked twice at that place again. Look out folks.

Came in and had my alternator replaced. A few days later my car broke down on the freeway and overheated. When I towed it back, Acer Auto said that my alternator belt was gone (I WONDER HOW). They replaced the belt but the car never started back up. They were the last to touch the alternator belt and then said it was my fault for driving it which caused it to overheat. It would not have overheated if I had an alternator belt. Now my car needs a whole entire new engine...its a 2011. Do not bring your car here. They laugh and joke around and come off as good guys but the truth is no one knows what theyre doing and no one truly cares. The owner Sam wants your money, not to fix your car. I dont believe anyone who works there is actually certified. $500 later, I have a car that no longer runs (mind you Im still paying for it). Thanks alot guys!!

Went here , had them check an oil leak which they said was my rear main seal and that It would cost me 600$. Having had work done here prior, I thought they were telling me the truth. Something told me to get a second check by another shop as I usually do, Turns out my oil leak was a simple loose oil filter which 212th Automotive fixed for free, I would highly recommend 212th Automotive in Kent. Stay away from this shop, they lost my trust in them. You have been warned.

Sam the owner is a very trustworthy guy. He is also very cheap compared to other shops around. Sam actually knows what he is doing Which actually shows that hes been in the buissness for a while. I highly recommend going to this place to get your car repairs done.

Who did license them to destroy peoples car. They even asked me pay in cash if I wanted to save Taxes. That sounds like scam. Seven hundred dollars later I was still driving a bad car.
