I’ve been going to A+ Japanese for about 2 yrs at the time of this review, and have had services ranging from an oil change to replacing the timing chain and other major services performed on my 2005 Pathfinder. I purposely waited to provide a review to them (or any other service vendor) until I have dealt with them more than 2-3 times, as that’s when their true colors seem to reveal themselves. The first couple of visits to any business can always be great (or even awful) and skew the true quality of a business. Additionally, I’ve been dealing with Justin, specifically, even prior to his move to A+ from Boardwalk Nissan and it was a pleasant surprise to find him there when I first decided to try A+. Recently, I took my Pathfinder in to take advantage of a Fall special which included an oil change, tire rotation, etc. etc. About a week later, I called Justin at A+ to express my dissatisfaction about my most recent visit who immediately wanted to make things right. Without getting into details, Justin heard me out and didn’t try to justify anything that I was upset about; he genuinely expressed understanding and a desire to retain my business. With my truck at almost 100k miles, I brought it back in to have work done that was recommended by their mechanic (no kidding – these guys are good, too), Justin and the mechanic walked me through what and WHY they recommended the work by visually showing me and educating me along the way. They taught and empowered me to make an educated decision versus a blind, emotionally reluctant decision to have the work done. Also, in prior service visits with them, they have actually taken numerous photos of the areas of the vehicle that required service and emailed them to me while I was at work so that I could see what was going on. This was unheard of and really impressed me. After the walk through, I was more than happy to have the work done (new front brakes, replacing front/rear differential fluids, and various other fluids, new spark plugs, and more), and not only did they do another really quality job, they even bent over backwards and provided me with an overnight rental car on their dime without me even having to ask for it. Now this was true customer service and a class move on their part. They didn’t have to do that. It made me feel like they recognized my patronage in the past and that they really did want to keep my business and were willing to do whatever it took to make up for a poor experience after having established a good relationship with their shop. I picked up my Pathfinder the next day after work and it was cleaned up and running well. Justin also informed me that they chose to use an upgraded quality part at no additional charge to me. Businesses can and will slip and/or make mistakes occasionally, and it’s great to see that when A+ does, they are not above apologizing and willing to go reasonable lengths to make things right. Because of their demonstration to committing to good customer service, I will continue to support, promote, and bring my vehicle to A+ Japanese Auto Repair. If you’re tired of bouncing from garage to garage, or even dealerships and their outrages prices, take your vehicle to A+. Hats off to Justin and the management/owners.

I will never take me car to the dealership again!!!! I was able to find my long lost service adviser Justin Mills who has always been good to me and more importantly HONEST; at A+ Japanese Auto Repair. Seeing that I have so much trust in Justin I decided to give A+ a try. I first brought my wife’s car in to have an oil change, tire rotation, and a full vehicle inspection done. As I suspected they found a few issues; which was expected since the car is a 2010 with never having any service done other than oil changes (which were few and far between). They were able to take care of all the issues that needed to be addressed all in 1 day and it didn’t cost me the price of a new car! After my wife’s car was done I brought mine in the following week for the same oil change, tire rotation, and full vehicle inspection. I thought they would find all kinds of issues with my car (I have a 2011 vehicle with 97K+ miles), but to my delight I was wrong. All I needed was some routine maintenance/up keep and I was good to go and again they were able to do it all in day. Justin and A+ are by far hands down 100% better than the dealership not only in price but in HONESTY. They don’t force you to have things done to your car that you don’t need. Unlike the dealership they don’t just follow a manual or a computer and tell you this is what you need done based on your mileage. They take the time to check and really let you know what it is that needs to be done, what can wait, and what is not needed. Oh and just as important their prices are reasonable!! I have been telling everyone I know from family and friends to the people that I work with to head over to A+ ask for Justin and give them a try its really well worth it!!!!

Best auto repair shop ever! I wish I found this place years ago. I have been going to an auto repair shop in belmont for the past five years. They were unable to locate a squeaking sound for the past year when I brought it in. I found A+ Japanese Auto Repair through a friend at work and thought I would give them a try. I brought my toyota landcruiser in for a service and they told me they would check out my noise concer as part of the inspection. I was promptly called at 11am as promised with a couple of notes about things i should be aware of... one of which was the squeak noise! Come to find out these guys specialize on Japanese cars and were aware of a common issue with toyota landcruisers that caused a squeak. Sure enough that was the situation. Now I know why it pays to take your vehicle to someone who specializes on toyotas for your auto repair and service. Chances are they have seen it before. Besides finding my squeak they did a great job on the service and brake job I needed. They were courteous, offered a ride to and from my work, and finished my vehicle the same day as promised :) I will return to A+ Japanese auto repair for all my toyota repairs. I have also recommend friends and family take there vehicles here for service or repair and have been thanked for the great recommendation on numerous accounts. I gave them five stars because I couldnt give six!

I found A+ a few days ago here on yelp- and when 99% of the reviews were stellar- I figured Id give them a try. I just purchased a commuter car (94 Honda Accord) and needed an oil change and a good inspection. These guys did not disappoint. I was able to make an appt for the same week I called- dropped off the car, and took advantage of the awesome quick Uber ride to the DMV. Once getting to the DMV I quickly learned I needed a smog check on this extra ride. I called Naeem (my service attendant) and he coordinated me getting a smog check at a smog shop down the street AND EVEN PAID FOR IT, then brought the car back for the oil change and inspection. I was able to go pick up the smog certificate, go back to the DMV and wait for the car to be done. Once the inspection and oil change were over, Naeem called me and had an Uber car come pick me up. I received an email going over EVERYTHING with the car- with pics included. He didnt rec anything the car didnt need and had some great advice. The car runs better and I am confident I have found a new home for the Honda Accord for service and for me! These guys are in fact amazing and I am VERY hard to impress...so that says a lot! He even threw in some windshield wipers for free----like who does that??? A+ does!! Thanks guys :)
