The initial part when we brought the vehicle in was fine. After almost a week we called them to see what was up. They said the parts hadnt come in yet as if we were supposed to guess that. I wanted to ask, "Why havent you called us to just keep us informed of the delay and progress?" I called a few days later and the employee says, yes its done, you can pick it up. I felt they should have called me to tell me it was done, especially since I had to call the first time just to find out what was going on. I asked what the total cost would be and the price was doubled of what I was expecting. I questioned it, and they did repairs that I did not authorize. Normally if you go in for something, and the shop finds another related problem that will cost a lot more, they call and ask if we want to authorize the other repairs. Since they dont make calls, we never got one asking for this authorization. Another repair we had requested took them twice as long to do as what it should have been. This means that the person working on it had no idea what he was doing, and was just learning on the spot. So we paid a lot extra for wasted hours for the employee to watch YouTube videos and learn as I should have just done myself how to fix the problem. What Rasmussen doesnt realize, is that they lost a client instead of gaining one. Was there any dishonesty? Probably not. Just a complete lack of basic customer service practices that all auto shops follow. Keep your clients informed, updated, and call to authorize extra repairs. Also, if you don’t know or have an expert for certain repairs, be honest and cut out the learning curve hours from the cost, or recommend another shop. Im very disappointed and out 3-4 hundred dollars of unexpected charges. They will be out of any of my business and all my associates, family and friends. So in the long run they will lose more. I dont think they really care anyway.

Hey Guys, I made it back to Sacramento just fine! This shop is excellent, very clean, everyone there looked and acted professional and were really open to sharing information. I have a 72 El Camino with a 350 and I coasted in about an hour before they closed today (Friday before Easter), with a loud knocking and engine hiccuping while driving at highway speeds. I live in Sacramento and was on my way back there to make it to my wifes birthday party! These guys were really helpful in diagnosing the problem right away, unfortunately it was not something that could have been repaired in an hour, (plus, I couldnt stay in Fresno to get it done). Rather than turning me away, they performed a temporary fix that kept my engine from exploding and allowed me to get back to Sacramento safely. Only charged me $30. If I lived in Fresno, this would be my exclusive shop.

My husband took his car here because it had good reviews on here to check out some vibration/grinding sound after he had hit a curb. Turns out he just needed his rear brakes and rotors replaced. They wanted to charge him $370 for just the rear then said his caliper pistons might need replaced (they didnt) and that would be another $300. He took it home and did the job his self for about $80 in the matter of a couple hours, which would have gone faster if it hadnt been his first time. Scam artists.

I brought in a vehicle I was thinking of buying to be checked over. For the cost of 1 shop hour, they came up with a list of ten very detailed things I would have missed. Even before I visited, they spent some time on my phone with me going over common problems that my particular vehicle encounters. They also had one of their office staff give me a ride so I wouldnt have to wait at the shop. Cant recommend them enough, they know their business.

Brought my civic hybrid into Rasmussens early on a busy Mon morning (today) without appointment asking for assistance diagnosing my check engine/IMA lights that came on last night. They were extremely accommodating, service oriented and helpful. They did what I asked and offered council without charge. I truly felt that Rusty the technician and the front desk woman cared about my car and took pride in their work. Outstanding!

I went there today, reviews said they were a nice group of people who are there to help. Im young and had never been to a repair shop before so thats exactly what I needed. The reviews were spot on! They were very nice, and I only waited about 45 minutes from start to finish for my new battery. Will go back if I have any other issues

Excellent service!! We have older vehicles including trucks that run on propane and this is the only shop we will go to. Weve taken some of our trucks to other places with promises that they will be fixed and we always end up taking them here anyway because no one else knows how to work on trucks that run on propane.

Came down to get my transmission fluid checked. Supposedly only the dealer can do it... they wanted $59.90. Other shops wanted $110! They checked it here for FREE and were really quick, in and out in 15mins for a free service. Great Job!! Thanks!!!

Always personal, professional and honest work. Service is exceptional. Time to repair is always reasonable. Ive had American, Japanese, and German cars worked on. Everything from a simple oil change to transmission work. These guys are the best!

ALL I CAN SAY IS BE READY TO PAY A LOT OF MONEY FOR EVERYTHING.THE STAFF ARE OK BUT THE PRICES ARE RIDICULOUS,AND MAKE SURE YOU TAKE A TEST DRIVE AFTER THEYRE DONE BEFORE YOU GET STUCK AND HAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GET THINGS FIXED PROPERLY!!!
