Went there for an oil change and because the check engine light was on.... they recommended having a gasket cover changed due to a leak in addition. Fine..... after work is done I pick up my car and it WONT START! The mechanic looks at it, gets it started and says it should start if I just keep trying, bring it back if it doesnt... really?? My car had been fine! So the car keeps having trouble and the engine light comes back on as well. So, I bring it back (have to get rental car second time). They say something wasnt connected (really???, you charge me a ton of money and cant connect everything correctly?). Im just glad the car started again, so yes, they did fix their mistake. A day after I leave the engine light comes on again (so they never figured out why that was) and its still on now. A week later my car starts shaking pretty badly when driving on the highway, it gets so bad I have to pull off and call them telling them that Ive had nothing but issues with my car since getting it back from them. They say, fine, bring it back.... I might note there was that definite condescending woman is imagining stuff from the person working there. I drop it off, get rental car again, just to be called an hour later saying come pick up your car.... no way, a magic quick fix? I drop off the rental, get back to my car to be told its no big deal, and I should have my wheels aligned by a tire shop since they dont do that. I leave (engine light still on!!!) thinking if they say its okay to be on the highway then I guess I should be okay. I was so scared driving, the car felt like it was falling apart. I stop half way home at a tire shop (Goodyear) and they very quickly identify the problem as a frozen caliber, so the breaks had to be changed. Luckily they fixed it and the car ran fine after that (engine light is still on). My point.... they are incompetent! And they let me leave in a car that had defective breaks. Im thinking they didnt even bother the third time to have a look at what was wrong. Ill never know if things were connected but all I know my car ran great and after I dropped it off there it didnt. $2000 later is seems to work again but like I said, the engine light is still on. My advice, look for a different place to get your car into shape.

I had an oil change, and asked for some advice on the origins of a low idle problem. Low idle problems can be caused by a myriad of different things, including plugged ports, faulty injector gaskets, poor valve operation of IACV or EGR, electrical problems, impropper fuel pressure, the list goes on. Incredibly, without performing a single test, I was quoted for changing my B pipe and Muffler, as if they were certain these were the origins of my problems. Impropper backpressure was what they concluded, without a single test of any other component of the system. Had I let myself, they would have happily charged my almost a thousand dollars for this change-out and not performed any tests on any other systems before it. This shop is not logically equipped to diagnose problems - they make expensive assumptions without sufficient evidence. Take your diagnostics elsewhere.

I have been going to Marks for at least 10 years. Started in the Redmond location and switched to Kirkland when Redmond closed. They have always been polite and helpful. I had some work done on my wifes car about a year ago and recently a belt started squealing. I dropped it off and they were able to fix it right away and didnt charge a penny. I had some time while I was waiting and started reading some of the reviews on here mainly negative and was extremely surprised. I think when people have a bad experience whether it is the fault of the shop or their own we like to blame somebody (cause we are never wrong) and let everyone know we are unhappy. This has never been my experience at Marks. I take both vehicles and have never had any issues with their parts or service. I would recommend this place to anyone that owns a Japanese vehicle.

Run away! These people run misleading ads and then charge you for saying no after they have tried to rip you off! Be sure to read the unreadable small font in their ads. After dropping off my car expecting service for the advertised price in their coupon I was told the actual cost would be more than three times higher! When I said no thanks I was charged almost $100 dollars for the "diagnostic" and told "did you really expect to get that service for that price?" When I took my car to one of Marks competitors the same day they charged me less than half of what Marks was quoting and explained that the reason my car was running so poorly when I brought it in was because someone had "forgotten" to reattach one of the spark plug wires. This place should be avoided if at all possible.

I went there for years until they told me to take my business somewhere else after I replaced struts at the different shop for 2 times cheaper than what they wanted. Their quotes are not cheaper than at dealers and they are suggesting to replace parts that dont need a replacement. Be very careful about their recommendations if you dont know much about cars. Also, their work quality is poor; they once replaced my brakes and didnt tight the caliper bolts which caused crazy squeaking and grinding, and I had to take my car back so they would fix it. Fishdownriger, you are employee there so of course you will blame the customer not the business.

Two people from our office recommended that i take my car into Marks and I was blown away with their friendly staff. I felt like a long time customer from the minute I walked in the door! They made me feel confident that they could figure out my electrical problem that i had already had at another local shop (that couldnt figure it out). Not only did they figure it out, but they had my car back to me by lunch time! They only charged me for an hour labor (they found a broken wire)! I had been putting off taking the car to the garage after the last shop couldnt figure it out and expected it to be a million dollar fix. Thanks Marks!!!

Terrible place to take your car! dont go! they are crooks and your car will end up with more problems after they "fix" it. I took my honda accord there for a routine tune up and when i got it back the car was shuddering and making a clunking noise when i turned it on. So I took it back and they said i needed to get a new engine mount and a tansmission flush. So i did that and of course paid even more money. Got my car back and now it still shudders, it sounds like something is loose and it still clunks when i turn it on. They do crappy work! DONT GO!

I grew up with one trusted family mechanic. When I had to find a new one I was scared. Searching for a new Mechanics Shop is like looking for a new Doctor! I was directed to Mark and I am grateful. Ive taken my last two vehicles to Mark for work big and small. Mark backs up his work with his word. Thats a quality I see less and less of these days. I send my girlfriend to Mark with her vehicle too. I like not having to worry about his shop giving her the run around- THANKS MARK! Guy G
