I started going to Atoa about 2 or 3 years ago and when he (and his wife, Toni) opened their own shop together I continued going there. Atoa does my hair and Toni does my eyebrows. Once I had a free coupon for Hair Masters and went there instead--Ill never do that again. Ive never been anything but thrilled with my look when I leave AtoaToni. I have incredibly bone straight, fine hair that has absolutely no body. Atoa works magic with his razor and manages to give my hair so much texture, I cant believe how cool it looks! And its so easy, I just wash, quick blow dry, a little hair paste finger styled in and spray--done! Looks fantastic and I get so many compliments. Ive recommended a lot of people to AtoaToni. They are friendly, attentive, funny and Atoa and I love to sing so I always look forward to singing along with the tunes hes got going while Im there. Great shampoo/head massage every time too! I agree with another poster here--stay away from the chains and support this fabulous local business. Great folks!

I love this salon and these owners. I can honestly say they are the best. When I came to Atoa and Toni 6 years ago my hair was thin, brittle, lots of split ends and just not healthy. Atoa and Toni nurtured my hair back to its orginal state before all the chemicals and store bought products I used. Whenever I go into the salon and dont quite know what color I want or what type of hair cut I want, Toni or Atoa are able to shape my face and give me the best color and style that I am looking for. I would recommend this salon to anyone and everyone. They have the best prices and even better customer service. They go out of thier way to make you feel special and have you looking like a model from TV. If you want a change and not quite sure what that is, come down to Salon AtoaToni in Lakewood and see what they can do for you. You will not be disappointed. I am and always will be a loyal customer. They have done miracles for me...

Well I had lightened my hair and it was quite brassy. I went here to get it corrected. They did succeed in getting all the brass out, however Im left with dark brown and light blonde highlights which because of the contrast makes my hair look its salt and peppered gray in the highlighted regions. The highlights themselves are not grey, just thats the appearance I get in contrast. I paid quite a bit here so I have to say as of right now Im a bit disappointed and ready to either hack all of my hair off or just temp dye over it or something. This hair is supposed to lighten up in the next few weeks but Im pretty skeptical the dark parts will lighten up enough to not look grey. Wanted to stay blonde but Im definitely more of a brunette with a salt and pepper look on top of her head. I came home and my husband took one look, a long pause, and said "Why do you look old?"

My friend turned me on to this little salon. After trying every "big" salon/spa in the area, I found myself frustrated - and slightly broke (haha!). I was in a rut. the hairstylists at the OTHER places seemed to kick into automatic - and did a fine job - but no heart or imagination. ATOA TONI changed all of that. I walked in and explained that I needed a change. I am in my mid 30s and dont want to be "locked in" to a hair style - as I felt I had. I also am graying and am planning (for now) to let it go (hubby loves it) ... so I need to be "hip" in order to not look homeless!! I gave Toni permission to do what every she felt needed to be done. WOW! Toni cut my hair like its never been cut before. Can you believe I NEVER knew I had waves in my hair?! Well, now I have a FANTASTIC cut -- and get complimented *all*the*time* by complete strangers!

I shopped around and had so many stylest glance at my hair and say, "sure we can do that" without even touching my hair or seeing how the texture is or how it lays. Resulting in a bad hairstyle!!! UNTIL>>> Atoa and Toni. Both Toni and Atoa has had my hair in their hands. I never knew anyone could work magic on my curly ne frizzy hair but both are masters. From a rocking pixie cut that had a bazillion compliments to my purple pin up bangs, to help with growing that pixie cut to shoulder length locks, these guys have done it all. AND they have done so with skill and exacting professionalism while still making me feel right at home with them. I love the cozy environment, the friendly banter and the willingness to not only go with my whacky ideas but to show me ways to improve upon them. I love them and would never go anywhere else.

Worst place ever !!! The messed up my hair .. Which I did not get upset about I understand things happen. I was understanding and they DID try and fix it the best they could which I thought was great. I did leave the salon with a look that I wasnt happy with but I wasnt upset .. They also said I didnt have to pay due to the mess up. I went today for an appointment and they pulled me outside and told me "we can no longer do your hair " , I asked why ? "You didnt pay last time ", "lets leave it at that" . Really ? I am so shocked and disappointed that they would say I didnt pay ... Really ? Thats not how you treat people. I wish nothing but the best for them in their company, I pray they do not hurt anymore people.

Looking for the perfect salon to style, cut or color your hair? Years ago, I went from salon to salon always leaving disappointed. Then I found Salon ATOATONI....wow! They are simply the best. You will never go anywhere else. When Atoa said he could make my hair feel like "butter" - I thought no way. Too dry-too brittle and in my eyes beyond repair. When he was finished... I was stunned. My hair was "butter". Soft and shiny. The service is simply incredible and most importanly is focused on you. Youll walk out feeling beautiful - younger too:). I will never go anywhere else. I am a military spouse who used the same hairstylist for the past 7 years, so you can imagine how worried I was to find a new stylist. My daughter and I went to this salon based on the great reviews we found online. I had color and cut and my daughter had a cut. Honestly the best service we have ever received! I can now say with confidence that our search is over, thank you Atoa and Toni.

Absolutely love this salon, the stylists and everything about it! Toni has been doing my hair for 4 years and she is amazing. She has helped me to grow my style and match it to my personality. She is truly a top quality stylist. She always listens and has a conversation with you about what you want. Her husband Atoa also does great work from what Ive watched from my chair.
