I have lived in Monroe for 24 years DO NOT GO TO THIS POST OFFICE. I have had nothing but problems at here. The WORST SERVICE POSSIBLE. They have lost a thousand dollars worth of my packages THIS YEAR ALONE. Every other time I go into this branch there is someone with a damaged or lost package that is not being helped. Unfortunately today I was one of those people. My most recent complaint is that I went in on Wednesday and paid next day mailing on a package that was extremely important with the contents being worth over 500$. It was delivered on Saturday. I asked if I could have the package sent back to me because it wasnt picked up because of its late arrival and the manager declined saying that it isnt their fault that the package was not picked up from the post office.. Even though it was supposed to be there on THURSDAY and I paid for it to be there on Thursday. I told the same manager that his branch has lost other packages, some worth almost the same amount and that they always give me this type of run around, He was extremely rude to me even though I was ASSURED by everyone working on Wednesday that my package would arrive hassle free. On the way out I let him know that I would be posting online about my experience with his branch and he THREATENED TO CALL THE POLICE IF HE EVER SAW ME AGAIN. Do not deal with this rural branch, if you want your packages to actually reach your destination use Fed ex, UPS or drive them where they need to go yourself, with the way this USPS branch handles their business youll have better luck taking another option. I would trust a homeless man to deliver my packages more than this Monroe post office.

This post office is the worst I have ever dealt with. Here is what Ive experienced in the last couple years: 1) because of this post office, I was 2 weeks late on my rent. Ive never been late before. I sent the check out, and I got a call from my landlord saying she never received it. So I sent a second check out that day. Guess what? Both checks arrived to my landlords box the following day. It was almost as if they just "forgot" about it, and when I sent the second one the realized the mistake and sent both. It sounds like a simple mistake, but my credit was hurt because of the Monroe P.O.. 2) I had a memorial vinyl for my car shipped to me. The package clearly stated "handle with care, do not bend". I came home, and the package was left on my porch (which does not have a cover) IN THE MIDDLE OF A RAINSTORM. needless to say, it was completely ruined. I went to the post office to ask what could be done, they claimed that they are not responsible unless insurance is bought. Now, my paycheck has been lost. Was sent from a monroe address, and its been a week. I wish I could give no stars.

UPDATE 9-1-17 NOW MY PACKAGES ARE BEING LEFT IN THE MIDDLE OF MY DRIVE WAY ABOUT TEN FEET FROM MY PORCH, AT LEAST IT WASNT RAINING, LAST TIME THEY LEFT MY PACKAGE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DRIVEWAY IT WAS COMPLETELY SOAKED. One of the weekend delivery drivers keeps leaving my package on the side porch with no shelter, really tired of finding soaked packages. Another one is very lazy, complained once that I got too many packages, apparently online shopping is a mystery to her. Shes in for some pain, Ive been considering getting much of my groceries and household items from Amazon and Im sure Im not the only one. I try to use the lockers at Safeway for deliveries but it wont accept everything. She also likes to leave half my mail in the box and the other half on my porch when she realizes I have a package. So lazy. My mail delivery person for most of the week is great though, if I only had to deal with her I would have given 5 stars.

The Post Master is incredibly helpful and professional. I read the other reviews & dont understand them. I drive here from Sultan because the people that work at that location are completely incompetent and actually lied to me about a package. The Monroe PM took the time to help figure out my international shipping debacle. He even went above and beyond printing me off information should I need it -- and even gave me his business card in case I had more questions. The people at this location are the best Ive ever encountered at a Post Office. Over the holidays they actually stayed open after the posted closing time. At the Sultan PO they actually lock you in - locking their doors - five minutes before they close because they refuse to work a second later then necessary. The employees at this location have never done that.

DO NOT USE THIS POST OFFICE. If you can, have your mail delivered to a different post office or location, and send your mail from a different location as well. I have had numerous packages lost, or completely destroyed because of mishandling, or because it was left outside in the rain. They take absolutely no responsibility for damages, and are incredibly rude when reparations are requested. Ive had lost letters, lost payments to my credit card company, and lost urgent tax documents. Whatever you do, do not use this post office. Youve been warned!

Terribly small postal location. Customer service is horrible and the never carry anything larger than a medium sized flat rate box. When I ask for a larger box they give me a "mailing box" which has no actual set price and can be inflated to whatever they feel like charging me. I dont run a business, I am just trying to send stuff to friends. I would rather drive to Issaquah where the staff are a lot nicer, you arent ignored when you ask a question and they have plenty of boxes in stock. Get with the program Monroe Post Office!

This post office has the WORST costumer service. I live on the route for this office and had my mail stolen and the office staff was insolent and unwilling to help me file a report with the store manager. I dont even want any sort of compensation, just want to file a report, even so, the staff was mean and condescending. Also my mail is often delivered to the wrong address and several times a month I receive someone elses mail by mistake. So unpolished, unprofessional and uncaring.

The ladies at the front counter are the most rude people in the business. I avoid this post office like the plague. I would rather drive an extra 20 minutes or so to the Snohomish office where I know I will at least be treated with some respect. These people will constantly tell you your package weights are wrong and jack up the price. I use a commercial grade scale to weigh my packages and no other post office Ive been to has tried to pull this stunt. AVOID THIS PLACE!

Unprofessional counter people make this the most dreaded part of running my business. Goodness forbid you have more than one item that you need postage for, or any actual counter help with - Ive literally had one desk lady loudly apologize to everyone behind me in line when I had 5 small packages to be shipped. Incredibly disappointing and unacceptable - its no wonder USPS is failing.

I absolutely DREAD coming to the Monroe post office. The stupid ladies dont even speak English very well and are ALWAYS completely rude every time I go in there, they always have a bad attitude! I am very new to Monroe and wish I knew of a different post office to go to! PLEASE HIRE SOME NEW FRONT DESK LADIES!!!!
