Josh is a pleasure to work with. Aaron is not. I called Meridian Family Auto Repair on the 22nd of June to find the status on a vehicle Id dropped off the 15th. There were a number of issues being addressed, some needing diagnosed [which they did for a great price 5 stars for price]. Im told by Josh the last part is do in tomorrow morning (June 23rd) and that my vehicle should be done either Thursday (23rd) or Friday (24th). I wait till Monday assuming I missed the call to come pick it up. Monday (27th June) Im told the mechanic working on my vehicle had a long weekend (scheduled) and had Monday off. Im reassured that it will be priority number 1 come tomorrow (28th) and it may even get finished. This delay didnt bother me as these oversights happen. Tuesday comes and goes, as does business hours for Wednesday the 29th of June (2 weeks since drop off). I call 15 minutes before closing to inquire about the apparent hang up. As a note, I have only received 1 call from Meridian Family Auto Repair (though promised and assured of several others) through this 2 week period. Aaron answers and I ask for an update because I was told it should be done Friday, then Monday, then Tuesday and now here we are Wednesday and its still not done and I have not received an update as promised. Aaron returns with, in a very unprofessional attitude, I need to hold up and that he didnt tell me anything and that when I came in he told me it could take awhile (funny how he didnt tell me anything and then followed it up about what he told me). At this point Aaron is becoming more hostile and rude over the phone so I politely thanked him for his time, made a few other courtesies and got off the phone (not trying to upset the shop working on my vehicle). The work being done was as follows; putting on a new power steering pump (had to be diagnosed), putting on new upgrade carb and intake kit (diagnosed and opted for upgrade), wiring a stereo and replacing an instrument cluster. This is on a 77 F250 so its only 6 dash screws and 2 knobs, Ive personally had it in and out in under 10 minutes (changed standard bulbs to LED). The diagnostic took 3 days, Josh called (only call) and updated me. Then parts come in and they work on it for 5 business days and its still not done? I asked when I dropped it off, if it would be ready for the vacation I had planned 2 weeks from that time, and was assured it shouldnt be an issue so long as nothing sideways happenes. Nothing sideways happened and its not done. I rated 3 stars because of the communication issues with Meridian Family Auto Repair. The price seems to have been fair and timelines get blown, but, how a business speaks and communicates is always with in their power to control. Will update after the vehicle is finished and I pick it up. Update: So I get the vehicle and the total comes to $650 more than offered, shocker. They never fixed the stereo or even offered any input on it. They didnt fix the cluster. Both I was charged for. Would of loved to have taken it back but the transmission began slipping 2nd time I drove it after getting it back from the shop. The timing job with the new intake amd carb was atrocious, and was told, oh just drive it around a bit and bring it back, well adjust again then... but it isnt correct now!? So to review, I paid $3600 for a diagnosis carb, intake, power steering unit. I could include timing but thats a stretch and should of been (was not) included with the new carb. This job took exceptionally longer than I was promised or told with no compensation except attitude. Will not take my vehicle here again. Id waste money elsewhere.

These guys are fantastic. Timelines are fairly accurate, prices are upfront and reasonable, services are prioritized according to need, not price. The employees are all extremely professional and friendly, and willing to patiently explain anything and everything they do (or will do) to your vehicle. Any and every additional charge or needed service or repair was discussed upfront. No surprises with the bill. They were also happy to let me bring in my own combination of oil and additives for an oil change, and mixed them according to my request. Theres a tiny waiting room with a television, coffee (K-cups provided), popcorn and water, and there are several restaurants, stores, and a shopping center within a half mile (see Sunrise Village). The waiting room, parking lot, restroom, and garage all looked clean and well-taken-care-of, a huge positive first impression. I especially liked the numerous humorous signs and notices all over the office, conveying safety, business practices, and simple to follow instructions in a simple but accessible manner. I would recommend this shop to anyone any day. Super happy with my experience here.

I wouldnt go to this shop EVER if i were you!! Choose another better quality customer service oriented shop that WONT take all your money and do a CRAPPY job on your vehicle thats been in there for weeks.. this shop disgusts me with the lack of customer service.. i mean i could tell you all of the things that went wrong during my visit but basically they charged me a whole lot for little work and took forever. They said they would have my vehicle done first thing Monday morning and i call later Monday morning and they say they are too busy and it will be done tomorrow morning... like i need transportation.. they didnt go back on their word. I guess meridian FAMILY auto means lying to their customers... When i got my vehicle back they must have test drove it around the whole city because there was at least 50 miles put into it... like did you use my car for you personal use.. who knows with this place its such a low grade mechanic shop. DO NOT EVER GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET MILKED FOR YOUR MONEY AND LEFT TO ROT. !!! >:(

I would not advise going to this shop, I took my car there as it was not running, they called me the next day and told me that it was bad fuel and the tank needed to be cleaned and that the spark plugs I just put in, they had no drive time on them, were bad. I was then told for them to clean out gas tank and do a flush that it would be $630+. The price seemed steep and when I contacted other shops about their prices for doing the same thing, it was half of that, even less. Upon speaking with the gentlemen to see if they did a proper diagnosis procedures I found they had not even done that. That is a questionable way to do things. I took my car down the road to another shop, and once they did the proper diagnosis procedures, I was informed it was not my gas that was making my car not start, but that the timing was off. I would tell anyone to not waste their money getting ripped off by a place that is not even doing their testing procedures right and charging double or more what other shops charge.

I took my car in to another mechanic for a different problem, but during their inspection they noticed my water pump was leaking onto my timing belt. They told me it would need to be fixed ASAP and they quoted me $1200. Yikes! I brought it to Meridian Family to have them look at it and estimate a cost for me. They were up front about the cost for the inspection which I appreciated, and were very quick to look at my car while I waited. He explained to me what my leak looked like, and that it would need to be repaired, and looked up a price estimate and printed everything off for me. Their quote was more than $300 less than the other guys! I had to double check to make sure their estimate included labor and everything! I was amazed. :) These guys are great, super friendly, and they dont try to sell me things I dont need!
