Passive aggressive rude management and shady work. Guess I shouldve expected bad things when management here changed a while back, my first visit after the change I overhear the manager or someone bragging to a trainee how he was brought in to make the shop busier and more profitable. That day I went in for an oil change with my older model Camry and actually got a song and dance about how my car would catch fire if I didnt fix some leak somewhere. (It never did obviously.) Some months later, went in for an oil change with my lightly-driven still like-new 2008 Camry. Guess they knew it likely wouldnt have any problems because they were real impatient and curt. And when asking me to sign the work order, even said to me "I dont know why people ask about the date when its right there on the work order" when I asked for the date, as if I look at their work orders everyday or something. After getting home I realized the receipt stated they put in the wrong type of oil when that information is embossed right on the engine oil cap they need to remove to perform the oil change. When I go to open the hood to see if anything else is wrong I discover the engine valve cover which up until that visit had still been like new, had been scratched up and the lettering worn down as if with wiped with some abrasive cleaner or something, or possibly even swiped and switched for a used one. Went back to them and they completely they denied they did anything and just basically brushed me off. A letter to their corporate headquarters, and quick response from Precisions district manager however changed their tune and they replaced the engine valve cover and offered two free oil changes. Truthfully though, I dont even want the two free changes and dont ever plan to go back there. A+ to Precision Tune Corporate, but this locations management earns it a solid F. This place was so much better before the management change. It used to be run by a couple of Indian guys who were always super polite, and not to mention honest and realistic with repair recommendations.

I called this morning to bring my car in for an oil change. The manager said it would take 2 hours since Saturday is the busiest day of the week. Ive taken my cars there several times for oil changes because of the price. When I arrived, the manager looked up my service records and said they had recommended certain work to be done in the past (such as fluid changes) but all I get is an oil change. Thats true. I get all other work done at the Technical College. The manager said he would not take my car for the oil change since he would not make any money. He said he is the new owner and wants to make money. There is a big sign outside on the street saying OIL CHANGE with a price around $16.99. That is a good deal. I was shocked!! He was rude, condensending, and actually tried to be intimidating. I asked again if he was denying me an oil change. He replied that it was the 2nd time I asked the question. I said, I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau and Corporate Office. After that the manager said he would change my oil. I gave him the keys and my cell phone number to call when it was done. My wife was waiting for me outside in our other car. I told her what happened and she immediately said she did not feel comfortable leaving the car there at all and who knows if they would do something. I told her she was right. I went back in, got my key and left. I went to another shop up the road and had both my cars oil changed. Cost about twice as much but well worth it. Its clear to me, the very reasonable oil change price is a "leader" to get customers in the shop and then hit them up for other services. I will be contacting the BBB, Corporate Office and others about this. Is it a big deal??? No its not but I am upset with this experience. Going to be interesting on the outcome if anything come of this after I contact the powers to be.

I had gone to Precision Tune for about 1 year for all of my repairs and services when I started going there it seemed like a great place Mark one of the managers there was great. Things started getting weird about 6 months ago when Mark gave me a quote to replace my Cat Converter for $750 and I told him that I would wait a little while. I come in for an oil change a few months later and another manager gave me another quote for the cat converter for $1800 so I instead I went to Midas and they did it for $700 which was less than the first quote. Well I kept doing business with Precision Tune and about 3 weeks ago I had electrical issue that was draining my battery and they were supposed to do a diagnostic for $117 there was a lady that gave the paperwork and she was the rudest person I have had to deal with when it comes to car repairs she gave me a stink eye and almost seemed angry I was taking my car in , I understand that I took it in 4 hours before closing but they never called to tell me what was wrong or that theyd have to keep it over night. I was pretty pissed at that point and theyd have to keep it for another day after that. Then they told me I need new radiator mounts that would have to be "special order" from California with a high markup basically I found the parts and did it myself in less than 10 minutes for $10. Last week I took my car to Kings Transmission on Petrovitsky Road for an oil change and they got it done really quick. They told me I need to replace my ignition coils which have been damaging the Cat Converter and told me it is easy to replace on my own. **THE BOTTOM LINE FOR ANYONE READING THIS DO NOT GO TO PRECISION TUNE THEY ARE UNRELIABLE, UNPROFFESSIONAL, AND RUDE. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS.** TO MARK GET OUT OF THERE AND WORK FOR A REAL MECHANIC SHOP THAT TREATS PEOPLE RIGHT!

Ive had oil changes done here 2x and was happy with the service, so I decided to go with them for brakes & alignment services. Called ahead to determine good day to leave car; very accommodating and helpful over phone with pricing and times. As Im a bit older and female, Im pretty cautious because many mechanics take advantage by overcharging & over recommending services to pump up the bill. I still cringe when I hear the charges as I remember how much cheaper it was in my younger years in rural area & with some I could do myself. From the age of my car, knowing what maintenance its had & what it requires, I believe Precision gave me valid info on what needed immediate service & what should be considered. However, I still cringed at the price. Dropped car before opening, picked up later in day. The office environment was stressed as they were very busy & having issues getting parts. Regardless they assisted me in a timely manner considering the issues. They took a few dollars here & there for the parts & when I presented a coupon for $25 off, they discounted that where they could. Overall I was satisfied with everything & will return for additional services when Ive saved enough to cover the cost. I would recommend this Precision but they are busy all the time, so plan ahead as much as possible.
